For more context, Chapter 25, being the chapter that depicted Akane's attempt on her life was released on November 19, 2020 less than six months after Hana Kimura's passing.

Its not that wrestling clothing is expensive its the fact its hard to make and it is sentimental. Think of it like how you use your Pc to edit videos for your TH-cam. Also Hana kimura is an independent wrestler and its pretty hard for them in the business they basically work for free and getting that clothing made is a hustle and time which can cost you to look stupid if you do not have it in time since characters in wrestling are tied to their gear, entrance and mannerisms. As a wrestler in Japan you get booked for multiple shows so there is no understanding or time to wait for someone to replace the gear its why she snapped like that.
Also in Japan its brutal you cannot break character it will look stupid and you will punished for it.

Thanks for enlightening me on that. That gives me a lot more context as to why she got so angry. And yeah, losing your composure in such a stoic society has such terrible social repercussions. It's truly sad. :(

I’m a fan of anime from the 80s and 90s but never went past that golden age. Modern Japan too weird.

It was always weird I suppose, it's just now we're realizing the dark sides of this weirdness.
