Visiting Lake Compounce 2023

Lake Compounce in Bristol Conneticutt is the oldest amusment park in America. The park boasts the legendary wooden roller coaster Boulderdash which sends riders through a heart punding journey through the mountainous park's grounds. We visit for the first time in a troublesome yet satisfying day. #lakecompounce

Looking forward to riding Phobia! That should be considered a world class ride in my opinion. That was a huge investment for the park. A big thing that distinguishes it from other Skyrocket 2 models is that it just has lap bars and not over shoulder restraints

$100 for a single person, Palace is essentially forcing you into buying a Platinum pass - which for around $220-250 (depending when you get it), also gets you into Kennywood, Idlewilde, etc.

I love LC but will not go there anymore. I drive an additional hour to Six Flags New England . LC only puts one train on Boulder and Wildcat to save money on train maintenance. They hold back opening Boulder until over 1000 people enter the park . Thats nice of them huh ?? I pay $5=$10 bucks to park in a private field across from SFNE . I dont mind paying for Flash Pass because it is a good value . At Compounce you have to wait for everything because they only run one train on coasters , three log Flume boats and few of everything else. During the month of May and June Lake Compounce is over run with thousands of day campers during the week just until about closing time so you cant enjoy the park then. Connecticut doesnt have the population to support such a beautiful park and is the reason why they are on life support
