Their caretaker is a wonderful lady. Every creature that needs fostering should be lucky enough to get a human like her. She even released them on her property to continue to watch over them. Luckiest chipmunks ever!

We had a family of chipmunks that used to live under the front step of our house. They were the best entertainment as kids growing up. We named the dad "hoggie" and he would teach his children every year to not be afraid of us and take food from our hands. Hoggie was so brave he eventually learned we got seeds from the second level of the house by the door. He would run inside past our legs, up the stairs, across the Bannister and onto the floor into the bag of seeds and help himself lol.

They're so precious, and you're a good person! I have a bird feeder hanging off a tree, and it's a cylinder shape, about a ft long. One day, there was about maybe 3" of food left, and a chipmunk had gotten inside, shoved a bunch of seed in it's cheeks, which made it impossible for the little goof to get out. It was just looking at me, with massive cheeks. I took the feeder down, laid it on it's side, and the baby shot right outta there! ♥️
How much love could a Chipmunk have, if a Chipmunk could have love?
The answer: A whole lotta Love bcuz this lovely woman gave it to them & they're now so healthy & happy ❤️

Believe me when I say, I love their names-
It's just incredible that this sweet lady raised these tiny babies so well. She's amazing. But I always worry about wild animals who have been hand raised from the time they were babies being released into nature. Will they have any fear of humans since they were raised by a human? Will they know to fear dogs and cats and birds of prey? There are many potential dangers out there. Who taught them about that? How do they know what to eat in the wild to survive? It's not like they had their chipmunk mommy there to teach them everything they needed to know to survive in the wild. I hope these little ones will all be safe and live long healthy lives.
I think that's why she released them on her property. She'll probably leave them some food or help them out in some way if they're in trouble.

I think they have instincts regardless of having their mommy or not. Their animal instincts will alert them of any kind of dangers and yes that sweet lady releasing them in her property also helps. But once they have matured they have quite sharp instincts to help them live on their own

I know it makes the most sense to release animals once they're ready, but I don't understand how people can let them go. I'd never be able to foster or rehabilitate animals because I'd want to keep them as -pets- family forever. 😕
You should check out the Flatbush Cats youtube channel, if you haven't already 🤗 At the end of "The colony cats: Sonny", there is a great sequence about fostering cats, or any animal really. We do it for the animals, not for ourselves. You can always try your hand at fostering one day - And in the end, if you fail at fostering, it just means the pupper or kitten gets a forever home!
Just have to think, if I foster fail and keep this one who no longer needs extra care, I won't be able to foster new animals that need my help now. I really want to get into fostering when am financially able to.

☺ Well you do it for them, not yourself. Some creatures truly need to be in the natural world, and chipmunks are one of them. They need to live as God & Nature intended them to live, and be with their own kind when necessary.

What a precious trio of Chipmunks. I watch at the end and can't imagine tiny, little Stephan not making it. He is the first to explore. He runs up to at those scents he had been smelling and investigates so bravely. He needed to live, as did Katherine and Elaina. What a wonderful woman to put her time and effort to making sure these tiniest of creatures survived.
