Love these programs! Older adults are our future and society is judged by how we take care of the disabled, marginalized, and the aging population. These programs are vital and a true testament. We will be old one day… and we need to have these programs and more in place. Kudos to Encore!
I love programs like this. My dad did this and only ate the meals maybe half the time (he couldn’t, for reasons you can probably guess) but it was so good to have a human knock on his door 3 times a day.
@@PuissanceDuNeant That doesn't make practical sense, 95% of the people that they deliver the food would not make the effort to clean tupperware and return it, also from the non profit's perspective it doesn't have the will power to wash all those containers and disinfect them prior to reusing... After all take out containers tv meal etc are all SINGLE use... Why woould those free meals be any different??
@@fuzzyduck1989 I see, on some countries I have seen ads from the City giving a list of restaurants which systematically grant a rebate if you go there with your own tuperware to buy take away food
She’s been a widow since 1988 and never found companionship with someone else? This is extremely sad that all she has are these people to talk to.🤷🏾♀️🤔

Older adults are the future? Are you on crack? Please explain that concept
This sweet lady paid her Dues, it’s coming back to her ten folds- Those spices keeping her well-❤❤
My parents have received these free meals in the past. Grateful for the care and blessings from these types of programs.

Great video! I had a period where I had to use this service; my mom also ended up needing to use it for a while.
They are such fantastic people.
The support net is crucial for vulnerable people these days.
I wish they expanded this for all housebound people. Not every disabled person is old.
She looks great for 88 years of age. She looks better than most 60 year Olds.
All people need to realize that they will either die young or grow old. So please love and cherish the elderly.😇
How come plástic bags are still used to wrap food? Where will they end up at the end of each day🤔
with what are they supposed to pack food?
@@fuzzyduck1989 I would use tuperwares, for instance taking back clean empty ones when delivering food each time and so on.

Thirty seconds of very brief chat at the door as the food is dropped off is better than nothing, but that is NOT friendship.
It matters to those who have noone cos someone checks to see if they are alive or sick etc.
How will these services survive the migrant crisis?
Exactly

Most people nowdays are single, whether that's by choice or fate...
Her husband died when I was born 😮.
Where are her children ?
We really don’t know, she may not have any.
They may have children but these either don't live in the same area or same country
