This performance is perhaps the most beautiful thing I have ever heard, and is for sure the most beautiful thing on the internet. Seen it over a hundred times.
Her voice from this performance was put through a pitch meter by music professionals and it showed 100% pitch accuracy she hit the lines straight on and stayed on with prolonged notes 🎶 almost never seen before. So You were spot on in your estimation .. 😀👍
OMG! What can one say to such breathtaking talent. Even if one is not an opera fan, you'd have to be dead not to be moved by that beautiful voice. So much awesomeness in such a little package. What a career she has ahead of her, as does Angelina.
Hi, omgosh she looks tiny, what an amazing voice. I believe some children are born with a unique gift, and Amira, bless her, has such a heaven sent voice, I hope the world embraces her. A beautiful upload and reaction ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I saw this on you tube several years ago, after I'd seen her HGT audition. I was so bowled over I bought the dvd of the Andre Rieu concert. ( it's called Love in Venice) I still get hot behind the eyes, though I've seen this clip many times. No shame, it's the sheer beauty. Andre did give her a coaching masterclass, telling her where to breath and to hold the long notes. Amira was quick to learn and delivered. She was just 10 at this concert her original appearance with him had to be postponed to attend her grandmothers funeral in S. Africa. There is a you tube video of the making of her first cd in England, when she was 9, in it she is talking to a vocal coach, and says that they wanted her to sing an aria a half note higher, and a full note higher, to see which is best. She has a remarkable ear for sound as well as a stunning voice and a good set of lungs. The following year, age 11, she sung an incredible Ave Maria, Gomez, at a Christmas concert. It is definitely worth watching. After that any of her concert performances are worth watching, she always delivers 100%
Saw a tiny little bird this morning, made me some coffee, put on your video. As I witnessed you guys thoroughly enjoy this magical performance, I noticed the bird outside seemed to be doing some kind of sing-along. When you paused to share your experience, the song outside filled the room. I was struck by the synchronicity here, since of course that minute songster outside was a wren: small creature with enough sound to fill up a stadium! That's Amira for you. So ty for your wonderful reaction, well done & much appreciated. Cheers from Amsterdam!

She makes me cry every time I hear her sing, and like you, I don't have a clue what the lyrics mean. It's the music and her Astonishing voice. I'm glad you are following Amira's career. And you're so right about the talent shows. Both Amira and Angelina went viral after their auditions. And that was the beginning of the careers of two of the most remarkable talents I've ever seen/heard. I listen to both of them every day. Angelina's music is more in my wheelhouse, but Amira's voice has won me over to opera. At least Amira's opera. Well done as always guys.
Amira's well-trained soprano's stellar technical skills are unheard of at the age of 10 - and a remarkable child prodigy voice. Very early on, Amira's vibrato and squiro virtuosity is miraculous, touching the hearts of listeners and giving the whole audience a standing ovation.
Outstanding is right! I've been watching Amira's videos for a few years now. Opera/classical crossover was never my genre, either, but I love this beautiful angel! Thank you for listening to Amira again, great reaction, when I find an artist like Amira who pleases my ear by presenting both sound and content beautifully, I'm delighted, and her mastery of squillo is unheard-of in one so young and some sound engineers are studying this phenomenon as presented by Amira.

She is truly a marvelous talent and an amazing person, which is even more important. I am glad that you have conquered, at least for Amira, your reluctance to listen and react to opera/classical music. ;) And I noticed that BP2's expression at one point took on the look of awestruck unbelief that a couple of the judges had on their faces during her audition at Holland's Got Talent! So perhaps the famous British reticence to show emotion occasionally can crack!

😍😍😍 Love this young lady so much! There aren't enough words to describe her voice. I'm not someone who cries with music, but she definitely hits me in the feels every time I hear her. She's awesome!
That sweet little thing thought the she had done something wrong when she saw people crying. Her parents had to explain that it was her beautiful voice that was touching the audience. To be so young and innocent and have such an angelic voice. I'm in awe.
Amira is about 10 1/4 old in this video. Within about five days of Amira's audition on Holland's Got Talent, Andre R. invited her to a master class by a virtual feed into a late-night Dutch interview show featuring Amira and her father. I think the class was in early December of 2013 while the semifinal and finals were in late December. Also the staff of Holland's Got Talent gave her some pointers then. Thus, she she has had lessons, to a degree, after her audition. From that point on, she has had teachers. in both the Netherlands and in South Africa, her home as of January 2018. She did not have teachers before her audition because of her mother's being unsure of her ability. But the opera talent probably came from Amira's maternal side while here love of classical musical probably came from her father, a church pianist and organist. in his spare time. Note Amira sings the song twice in this video and Andre seems to be conducting her as well as his orchestra. There were about 12,000 to 15,000 in the crowd, I believe. There are several biographical videos of Amira on TH-cam.
AMIRA CREATES ASTONISHMENT WITH PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN TO LOTS OF OPERAS IN THEIR LIVES - HENCE THE SURPRISE and THE EMOTION, WHEN THEY HEAR AMIRA SINGING WITH SUCH AN ANGELIC VOICE !!
Thanks guys for your most sincere & informative reaction. I’ll list a few more of Amira’s performances and include her age on each, as it’s important to know her age when reacting to such a talent. Performance a as follow: …. … Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church at age 11. …. … Nella Fantasia at age 12. Please select the live concert performance …. … Flower Duet with Corlea Botha at age 13 …. … Sound of Music medley at age 15. Amira sings one octave above the original by Julie Andrews and absolutely nails it. Cheers Graeme. ps. Amira has sung in at least 5 languages and, with the help of her brother, studies the lyrics so as to put the correct emotion into her performance..
There are two performances of Nella Fantasia when she was 12. One at classics is groot, the other at Africaans is groot. Both good, I think the second one has the edge, she is slightly more mature, and holds that final note for ever. I like the way the flautist shares the stage with her too.
Amira was surprised by the magnificent performance of a 10-year-old without being overwhelmed by world-famous conductors and orchestras and an audience of 15,000 people, and at the same time, Amira's pure and beautiful singing voice was wonderful and moved. 🎼🎤😭🙌
Amazing! You have mentioned Paul Potts a few times already. He and Amira are friends. Amira has a charitable foundation that she established since she was 10 years old to build playgrounds in needy schools in Africa. Paul Potts has performed with Amira several times at her foundation's benefit concerts. There is a video clip on TH-cam where you can watch them singing in duet "Con Te Partirò" and Amira's voice completely overshadowing Paul Potts' voice at the end, and her at the age of 10. Unbelievable.
I think she moved to South Africa a while back and I seem to remember there are videos of her performing there but can't recall just now what motivated her to to there.
@@Stalled-wm3qd Amira's mother is South African. The Dutch community there has existed for centuries. Amira has been attending concerts there since she was 10 years old. There are always editions of Starlight Classics, Afrika is Groot, Classics is Groot. At the age of 14, Amira moved with her mother and brother to South Africa. She obtained her citizenship not long ago. All her charity work has been in the poor regions of South Africa since she was 10 years old.
@@Stalled-wm3qd And Dutch laws allow only one artistic appearance per month for minors. An interview already counts as one appearance. In South Africa Dutch education is more diverse, including music, dance, and theater. In the university town (Potchefstroom) where Amira lives there, she takes lessons near her home with a great veteran soprano, a former prodigy. And she will probably study higher education in music at the magnificent conservatory of the christian North-West University in the city.
@@jorgechavesfilho One small point, a South African education is not Dutch, there are eleven official languages in this country English and Afrikaans being the most used in schools and business. The other nine are various South African regional languages. Some schools also teach German, French,Dutch or Latin.Perhaps someone in the South African education department, could elaborate on this.I must say that Amira has done exceptionally well in learning to speak Afrikaans so fluently in so short a period.I wonder what surprises Amira will spring on us once she has completed her matric.Reguards from Michael Jonathan Lewis, Allan's-Nek, Roodepoort J HB. If you want to have your heads explode...react to Amira's version of "AMAZING GRACE"...ahe was 12 or13 at the time.I think its the best version of this song.
BP1 - THE WARBLE IS ALSO REFERRED TO AS VIBRATO - YOU WILL NOTICE THAT SHE SINGS THIS SONG ALMOST IN ITS ENTIRETY IN VIBRATO - NOT MANY SOPRANOS CAN DO THAT - SHE HAS TRULY BEEN GIFTED BY GOD - WHAT AN ANGEL SHE IS !!
I want you to continue to do Amira, my favorite singer. However, their is a violinist from Santa Monica, California USA. Originally from Ukraine. She started playing at 6 years old. She has been playing in Santa Monica on the street since 9 years old and is 13 now. She has like 6.5 million subscribers. She inspires to be like Lindsey Sterling and has played with her. Might check her out. She plays all kinds of music. If you are not sure about the violin, remember you were not sure about Opera until Amira. Might check from the earliest songs to the latest. Just a thought
More Amira. Best voice on the planet. Fund raiser for Ronald McDonald house is good for little rehearsal time and extreme high notes. Caught everyone off guard. E flat6 I believe. There are experts who could give more info.
Hello, guys! I'm off to work but I saw this video and had to listen to it. Amira is wonderful and what a perfect place to showcase her talent with Andre Rieu! Btw, Andre Rieu has accumulated so many great video's featuring great artists throughout the years and I would like to suggest one in particular which you might want to give a listen to. Michael Jackson's brother, Jermaine, singing 'Smile' as a tribute to Michael. It is very moving. Hey! Have a great day, guys!
Great Comment Robert! It's Friday.... Work is always more relaxed on a Friday!.. :) .. thanks for the recommendation, we shall add it to the list :) Have a good day at work
Hello BP1 and BP2, Amira has such a powerful yet soft voice here. That's absolutely impressive I recommend Amira's duet with Patrizio Buanne. Patrizio Franco Buanne is an Austrian-Italian baritone, songwriter and record producer. It's an Italian song that I know very well. - Amira Willighagen "O Sole Mio" (ENGLISH SUBTITLES) - th-cam.com/video/_v9D7AAyMV0/w-d-xo.html Greetings from Germany
This precious soul makes me want to worship Jesus my Lord and Saviour even more.Thank you guys for wonderful reactions to this remarkable young lady. God bless you.
Thank you for reacting to more Amira. It would have been nice if she was not obscured by AMIRA. She was 10. You might like Nessun Dorma (CIG 2017) and the Flower Duet with Amira and Corlea Botha. For fun, try Little Drummer Boy.
@joe pollard Hi Joe, we try not to obscure any video but often we have issues with videos being completely blocked and by placing the text over it, it stops the video from not being viewable by anyone. It's a little random which video have this issues and which do not. Believe us when we say we don't like to do it either as we only find out a video is blocked after uploading it and then we have to create it again and include the text and so on. Hope that helps
@@BritPopsReact if you are attached to Nessun Dorma you really ought to give her 2017 version a spin. It is more refined than the HGT performance. Four years older and a bit of experience under the belt makes a difference.
OK, if you want to hear Amira (at 12 years old) in something a little less formal than opera, try th-cam.com/video/Te6LGAOTjdk/w-d-xo.html this was the encore of a concert she gave in Holland in December 2016, and it's a duet - or perhaps a duel - between Amira and a Dutch tenor, Ben Heijnen. The song was "O sole mio" (Oh, my sunshine) - a Neapolitan popular song from 1898, the melody of which has been used a great many times - notably, by Elvis Presley, who called it "Its now or never". The conductor looked as though he would take off at any moment, and Amira and Ben took the opportunity to see who could hold the longest note (Amira won).
She is one in a Billion. Just cannot get enough. Her "Nella Fantassia 2017" at age 13 is just awesome. th-cam.com/video/z_WyjEj5DW8/w-d-xo.html I never listened to opera before Amira, but I really appreciate this song. There are some still some greats to get too, Gabriella's song, In the Stars, written in honor of her Grandmother. I listen to her every day.
My apologies Sabine, There was a digit missing but the number was in fact closer to 15,000 as there were anumber of peoplee in the Restaurants outside the actual auditorium apparently.
@@davemellet6878 It's not actually an auditorium, I hope you know; it's the Vrijthoff square in Maastricht, (Limburg province, The Netherlands) which had a dummy "Rialto" bridge installed, because the DVD is called "Love in Venice" - so an open-air venue.
@@dafyddllewellyn6636 SORRY Daffyd for the gaffe. I was following up something el;se locally and I used the auditorium instead of Maastrich Sqare. I have these little errors now and again occuring when I'm in a hurry. I promise to do better in future LOL.
I want to thank you both for your reactions to this fine young girl from your first reaction and this one, I could see your hearts were stirred like many of us for Amira. From my few years of watching her grow up, Amira Willighagen - 'O Sole Mio' E di Capua is one of my favorite when she was about 13, you will love her and the one singing a duet. Thank you both. Another of my favorites th-cam.com/video/B6Rf9DZAmfE/w-d-xo.html
You mentioned You Tube as a doorway to fame. An outstanding example is the street busker 13-year=old Karolina Protsenko who now has a world-wide following of over 7,000.000. She plays her violin regularly on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.
@John Bridger Hello John, thanks for the comment. We have not heard of Twoset Violin and have added them to our list. We will try and get to see them soon. Cheers
Yes guys she has a sensational voice which came through so well in this video but why did you choose to have her name in huge white capital letters just about obscuring all of the video we are supposed to be watching? I can't understand it as it goes against all common sense. Also, there was an earlier version of this that apparently got taken down due to copyright reasons. In that version at the beginning Rieu explains how, when in Australia with his orchestra, they approached him and said had he heard her on Holland's Got Talent. This was the result. They cut that out from the redone video. The other thing about Amira and also Angelica Hale, who almost died at 4 years of age, is that they belt out these songs with complete confidence at age 9 or 10 unaware that they are brilliant at it and when finished are just so humble and ordinary. Not that affected by the standing ovation of massive audiences. They are so gifted but humble with it!
They chose that form to avoid being blocked by Andre Rieu's copyright - as they explained in a relpy to another comment. You are quite correct about the earlier version; it can be seen on Andre Rieu's DVD "Love in Venice". There is a link to this version under "show more" in the heading.
Please add another artist to the great list y’all have been reacting to. Please check out Grace Vanderwaal’s AGT performances!! Great reaction. Sending love from the mitten state.
About her volume. Don't forget her other "hobby" is distance and cross-country running where she was was her age group national champion several times. She probably has rock hard abs and excellent breath control. Several of her non-performing videos have her running with her brother or some sort of athletic activity.
For several months I've noticed your picture of Andre and Amira in your back-drop. But is it actually Amira? It looks very much like Emanne Beasha who also sang the same aria with Andre. I may be wrong because the girls wore similar clothes and were the same age.
Not quite - both girls wore the same costume (it came from Andre Rieu's collection of costumes, being originally made for Amira); and Emanne Beasha was a year older than Amira.
@@dafyddllewellyn6636 . Thanks for your response, Dafydd. I could not remember Amira taking the same stance during the aria that Emanne took. Emanne held Andre's hand at one point and I could not make out whether the picture showed that frame. However, I'm happy to accede to your judgment. Best wishes, JOE.
@@dafyddllewellyn6636 . Carmen is an adult. She did hold Andre's hand, but so did Emanne. I couldn't blow up the picture enough to be sure the girl in the picture did but she was leaning forward and I don't think Amira did that. Emanne was more dramatic than Amira; perhaps influenced by Carmen.
@elizabethmittelstadt7691 When we uploaded the video, it was blocked. We had to add the name to video to be able to publish it. So videos get blocked and others don't and when that happens, we have to add something to it. Sorry, we hate it as much as you do. All the best

For me I think Amira is adding a bit to much vibrato to the whole. Could you try to react to Norway's treasure for decades Sissel Kyrkjebø ....also singing that very same song "O Mio Babbino Caro". She has the most crystal clear voice you will ever hear in your life. She is considered as one the best crossover sopranos in the world. I can't believe this is coming from her, BEAUTIFUL, I'm so happy we got a new young girl that can sing beautiful opera, love it
She is now 18. You have a lot of catching-up ahead of you!
😍😍😍
Love this young lady so much!
He was not "conducting" her; he was holding the orchestra to allow her to extend her high notes (as he had taught her in her "Master class")
Following her and conducting the orchestra.
Amira's singing voice is perfect! !
Performance a as follow:
…. … Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church at age 11.
…. … Nella Fantasia at age 12. Please select the live concert performance
…. … Flower Duet with Corlea Botha at age 13
She always sings live!
@@jorgechavesfilho Thanks so much Jorge for that very helpful information.
South Africa.
she sang with Poul Pott 1 or 2 years later in a concert i southafrica. U.T.
If you want to have your heads explode...react to Amira's version of "AMAZING GRACE"...ahe was 12 or13 at the time.I think its the best version of this song.
Yeah she was 13 when she sung Amazing Grace at Classics is Groot in 2017. A lot of her performance's rock you back on your heels.
Great assessment of Amira boy's, you are now under her spell!
Amira is a special angel of God Amira The Princess of God.This is Amira❤❤❤

:) .. thanks for the recommendation, we shall add it to the list :) Have a good day at work
The third of the triple A’s, Amira’s friend, the British Alma Deutscher, composer, pianist, violinist, and now conductress.

Wanda Król Amira i Sir Andrea Rejju piękny koncert ten głos piękny Gratulacje za piękno Pozdrawiam z Poland 💖
Cuando la Reinita era una Bebe Hermosa. Sobran las Palabras.
she was ten years old when she sang this about one week into her tenth birthday.
4 months after her tenth birthday - date of birth 27 March 2004; Andre Rieu performance 12 July 2014.
Hello BP1 and BP2, Amira has such a powerful yet soft voice here. That's absolutely impressive
I recommend Amira's duet with Patrizio Buanne. Patrizio Franco Buanne is an Austrian-Italian baritone, songwriter and record producer. It's an Italian song that I know very well.
- Amira Willighagen "O Sole Mio" (ENGLISH SUBTITLES) - th-cam.com/video/_v9D7AAyMV0/w-d-xo.html
Greetings from Germany
This precious soul makes me want to worship Jesus my Lord and Saviour even more.Thank you guys for wonderful reactions to this remarkable young lady. God bless you.
Thank you for reacting to more Amira. It would have been nice if she was not obscured by AMIRA. She was 10. You might like Nessun Dorma (CIG 2017) and the Flower Duet with Amira and Corlea Botha. For fun, try Little Drummer Boy.
@joe pollard
Hi Joe, we try not to obscure any video but often we have issues with videos being completely blocked and by placing the text over it, it stops the video from not being viewable by anyone.
It's a little random which video have this issues and which do not.
Believe us when we say we don't like to do it either as we only find out a video is blocked after uploading it and then we have to create it again and include the text and so on.
Hope that helps
@@BritPopsReact . Thanks for the info. Joe.
@@BritPopsReact if you are attached to Nessun Dorma you really ought to give her 2017 version a spin. It is more refined than the HGT performance. Four years older and a bit of experience under the belt makes a difference.
@@BritPopsReact . This is now unblocked, should you wish to adjust it.
🎉
She is one in a Billion. Just cannot get enough. Her "Nella Fantassia 2017" at age 13 is just awesome. th-cam.com/video/z_WyjEj5DW8/w-d-xo.html I never listened to opera before Amira, but I really appreciate this song. There are some still some greats to get too, Gabriella's song, In the Stars, written in honor of her Grandmother. I listen to her every day.
It was 2016 at 12. I agree awesome
En un Trillion.
Guys,,, you really must listen to nella fantasia by amira, it's unbelievable
there was 1500 people at show and they were all on their feet at the end.
There were approx. 12,000 people in the audience! There is a "0" missing in your comment. ;-)
Have you guys ever come across Twoset Violin? They are great at making classical music fun.
@John Bridger
Hello John, thanks for the comment.
We have not heard of Twoset Violin and have added them to our list.
We will try and get to see them soon.
Cheers
Yes guys she has a sensational voice which came through so well in this video but why did you choose to have her name in huge white capital letters just about obscuring all of
the video we are supposed to be watching?
@@dafyddllewellyn6636 Thanks Daffyd. I had a quick look for an explanation for the huge white capitals in the Comments but didn't see it. Cheers.
Please add another artist to the great list y’all have been reacting to. Please check out Grace Vanderwaal’s AGT performances!! Great reaction. Sending love from the mitten state.

😮classic pops I'm for it 1:31
Also listen to nella Fantasia

@@joepollard9476 You may very well be correct; I don't recall Amira taking Andre Rieu's hand.
Ah - I see the shot you were referring to - that's Carmen Monarcha
@@dafyddllewellyn6636 . Carmen is an adult. She did hold Andre's hand, but so did Emanne. I couldn't blow up the picture enough to be sure the girl in the picture did but she was leaning forward and I don't think Amira did that. Emanne was more dramatic than Amira; perhaps influenced by Carmen.

We can’t see her you have her name in Capital letters across your screen so we can’t see her face
@elizabethmittelstadt7691
When we uploaded the video, it was blocked.
We had to add the name to video to be able to publish it.
So videos get blocked and others don't and when that happens, we have to add something to it.
Sorry, we hate it as much as you do.
All the best
Is it called vibrato?
We can’t see her face you have blocked her out completely , we can only hear her voice take the huge letter heads of her name away you spoiling a good song

The only thing that ruins the video is the name Amira plastered across the screen. You can't see Amira at all.

She was the voice singing the hymn on the movie "Titanic", singing at opening and closing ceremony of the winter olympics, she has had concerts with many celebs, among them she has had concerts with the masters of opera ...Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras ...and so on....
She is not adding the vibrato! Its her voice!
@@Bert_96 Haha ..... yes of course it is her voice. I didn't say it was someone else's voice...right....!!!!! That fluttering is still vibrato whoever that voice belongs to....
@@xpost9381 Amira can sing with a spinning vibrato like in her musical I Feel pretty th-cam.com/video/5eS1VsHEOyE/w-d-xo.html
But you are right sometimes her vibrato just is too much and she must be careful because the slow wobbly vibrato rejects many potential fans.
Anyway, Overall Amira just is different level compared with aging Sissel.
@@yogajedi3337 Well .... Sissel is about to turn 53 and I wouldn't call that aging by any measure .....unless you yourself is a teenager and think that everything over 20 is old ......
Sissel has had a remarkable career and I guess that it is about taste who you choose ....and they operate in different areas of music. I agree that there is a total different level between the two of them .....in the sense that Sissel is unsurpassed when it comes to versatility and quality. Amira is young so who know what future will bring. Anyhow I wish her the best but sorry she isn't even close to match Sissel .....so far.....
