One of the most popular Arabic poets in Saudi Arabia is Sheikh Saud Al Shuraim, the former Imam & Khateeb of Masjid Al Haram. Here is his poem titled “Labbaik”, during the Eid Al Adha Khutbah of Hajj 1428 / 2007.
During the Jumu’ah and Eid sermon, Al Shuraim would incorporate his poems into the speeches. As for his Hajj poems, he delivered 4 pieces in his last 4 Eid sermons, starting with ‘Labbaik (لبيك)’ in 1428, ‘God is greatest (الله أكبر)’ in 1432 and ‘Eid emergence عيد أطل’ in 1435. In 1440 (2019), the Imam delivered a shorter piece on Huroof Al Hajj (letters of Hajj).
