Super Quick 5 Inch Charm Square Quilt with Free Pattern

- Use 5 Inch charm squares to make this fun quilt using a free charm square quilt pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop. Don't have pre cut charm squares - don't worry because you can easily cut your own 5" squares. Want a quick finish quilt - check out this video. Are you a beginner? Then this 5 inch charm square quilt pattern is perfect for you. I will walk you through from beginning to end how I made this quilt and share any mistakes I made along the way (it could happen). Super experienced at making quilts - you will still love this pattern because it looks great and is easy to make.
So grab your favorite 5 inch charm squares or cut some out of your favorite fabric into 5" x 5" squares and let's get to quilt making.

Yes Ma'am! Our quilts can be our way. Im a beginner quilter and that realization saved me today. Im making very easy throws out of a layer cake. When laying out the blocks, the directional prints was messing with the layout so I gave myself permission to change the order of the blocks and not stress over it. Thank you for sharing that it's ok to change up a pattern when it works for us! ❤

If the stain doesn't come out, try a bar of Fels Naptha. This quilt is beautiful and I love the floral prints. I wish I had your laid back attitude when it comes to quilts. I stress over everything. I love the figure 8, that looks easy for a beginner like me. Di at Sister Chicks cracks me up too. You're like two peas in a pod. I love watching you both.

This turned out really pretty! I think your fat quarters went very well with the charm squares. I probably would have cut some extra squares instead of using the stained ones. It would be my luck that the spots wouldn’t come out in the wash! I hope your wash works miracles. Maybe add a little spot remover before washing! Have a long arm really speeds things up! Great job! I ALWAYS ENJOY your tutorials and learn a lot, too! Tell your mother-in- law hello and maybe next time she can say hi to us!

Such a cute quilt. I have a tote full of charm packs so I think I have to make this quilt. I try not following the rules too but I've found over time they sort of inch their way into your quilting. It's worked out well because now I don't cut off so many points and most of my corners line up!! Thanks for another great tutorial.
