- For nearly the nearly two hundred years since Anne and Anne took the sacrament together, we’ve known very little about Ann Walker’s thoughts. The recent discovery of her journal-which includes entries during their honeymoon journey to Europe-offers an entirely new view of this courageous woman. Join us as we discuss how it was found, what is in it, and what new insights it offers! Featuring Diane Halford and Alexa Tansley of In Search of Ann Walker
Brilliant work...please keep going! Ann Walker deserves to be understood!
Indeed!
Ann Walker was braver than Anne Lister. She didn’t have a support system and still lived with the woman she loved.
Yes considering she was of a more gentle nature.
I agree

So wonderful to have Ann Dear speaking to us...we're listening, Ann!!!!!
Thanks for all the people involved in this. I want to know more about Ann Walker. Hope we will get more of her journals in the future.
loved knowing more about Ann walker. Kudos to the In Search Of Ann Walker team for their brilliant findings ❤
Brava to both of you and to all of those working in search of Ann Walker...it has been a real pleasure to participate, and the discovery of her journal was amazing!
Thank you Diane and Alexa for the work and everyone else working for this. I truly hope that the Ann Walker Diaries would be made a book or accessible for public to read. Cross my fingures and do believe someday Ann Walker sketch or painting will be found. Choose to believe so. Blessed b ya'll. Thanx for sharing this, ever so joyous news of many!!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Happy week to you and all Listerians.
Enjoyed this so much. What a privilege it must be to work with those wonderful archives.
INCREDIBLE!!! I was excited to her about the honeymoon. Thank you everyone for the fabulous news.
Wow! How very exciting to have Ann Walker in her own words! Thanks to everyone working on all of the Ann Walker and Anne Lister research!
Thanks so much for sharing all this wonderful information about the Ann Walker diaries. I look forward to hearing more from the both of your new discoveries.
Adored the matching entries of Lister & Walker, Aug 7, 1834. Puts us there. Endearing. Now I want strawberries & tea. I hope we can one day know the 6 weeks of Lister's last days through Walker. In finding any more Walker diaries: How did the blue-marbled one end up where it did? Would not it have been with her other diaries? Can it somehow be traced backwards?? Seems like a logical starting point. A clue in blue. Maybe her other diaries were misfiled under another's name?
Woah! Hats off to researchers! 🎩 🙌 please Continue what your doing ♥️
I sat and thought about Anne Lister having a College named after her. Oh why can’t we tell her? If only she could know this.
I hope the other journals can be found, I'm so passionate about being able to learn more about Ann's side of the story and her perspectives.
I find this so interesting and thank you ladies for all your patience and research on the ISAW project and the amazing discovery of her journal. It's so essential to have a clearer picture of Ann Walker and I sincerely hope that there will be more findings in the future . I heard of a missing time capsule that both of them buried and after a building renovation was discovered and went to the local museum. But sadly has not been relocated there, I would love to have known what they put inside fingers x it turns up one day.
Fabulous, just wonderful research .
Wonderful, wonderful news.
Fascinating. Maybe it would be a good idea to research anyone living in Halifax around the time of the two ladies. Because anyone could have written information regarding them. In the most unlikely places.
is there any hope in finding the sketches she did in Georgia and Russia. did the family throw them away
OMG! THAT'S GREAT! ♡
I love Ann Walker 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Has anybody done any research into diaries written by anyone who might have known them? They might be a good place to look for more information.
