I was very surprised to see how fast this machine actually was in person.

The one MAJOR flaw with the Ultra splitter is that after using it you hate almost all other splitters. You need one for sure!
Hey Chris. This Ultra was a blast to operate. It definitely made me want one. The speed and 4 way wedge was very nice to operate.

@TheRustyGarageandHomestead I am 14 and do firewood. I used one at a trade show and even interviewed the Easton family themselves. But my stupid GoPro corrupted ALL the files from that day. The only one I was able to upload was from Woodmizer because the GoPro died and I shot it on my phone . 😡😡 PLEASE DO NOT BUY A GOPRO!

We were torn between the ultra and the rugged made rigged split. We really wanted a log lift for lifting and staging logs and I’m glad we went with the rugged made. The ultra is awesome and a premium splitter but the shipping was outrageous at $1600 I believe and it was about $1000 more than the rugged made. We ended up going with the rugged made 728. In the 20” stroke position it had a 6 second cycle time and just tears through the wood . We have the 4 and 6 way wedge and had it delivered for under $4k. Check out rugged made im in nwpa if you want to come try it out.
That's great information. I have been hearing more and more about the rugged made splitters.
For the wood I have in my property, I feel like I'm going to need a log lift as well. I recently had the opportunity to run a splitter with a fellow youtuber, and his had a log lift. That thing is life changing. I'll give rugged and made a look.
I would like to do a video on those splitters sometime.

I thought about the Ultra as Wolfe Ridge didn't have the RS yet. For me, the log lift and highway towablity fit the needs.
But a good machine for the price.

I recently had the opertunity to run a splitter with a log lift and that was a game changer for sure. Whatever I end up with next is gonna have a log lift on it.
I like the Easton made ultra, but I sure wish it came with a Log Lift option. I think I would consider purchasing it if it did.

I have recently ran a splitter with a log lift. That was my 1st time with a log lift and it was life changing. I'll have that video out soon.
If im going to spend that kind of money ill get one with log lift!

Mr. Len I agree. Log lift is a necessity for me on my next splitter.
@@TheRustyGarageandHomestead I’m watching some videos there they have a log lift and there still picking up the rounds and putting on the lift, so if you’re going to pick it up then you don’t need a log lift 👍
