It's funny how Emily is always telling Lorelai to keep quiet when she is going on and on but when she is quiet she is like what's wrong. This is a cute moment.
@@petabulmer7345 I agree Trix acts cruelly towards Emily, she is always making rude remarks and being condescending towards Emily. Even though Emily was not the best mother and was at times judgy and rude she still meant well, she never (to my memory) acted with intended cruelty (without a reason Trix was cruel to be cruel), she may have been annoying but she really did care for the people around her. Trix was cruel and liked being cruel, Emily was annoying most times out of care for the people around her
Did anyone notice that Emily said three intelligent women at the beginning of the video. She gave her daughter a compliment!!! No barbs or anything behind it
Plot hole: They are eating and Richard is not at the table!!!!! There is an episode where Emily says something like, "I have been married to you (Richard) for 30 some years, and I have never once started eating without you!" Or something to that effect. Richard was working on his Jaguar I believe.
I think she meant that she never once started eating without him, when he is in the house, he travelled a lot, so there had been nights they are not together.
You were on the phone? Long distance. God? Londen. God lives in Londen? My mother lives in Londen. Your mother is God? Sooo god IS a woman. And a relative! Thats sooo cool, Imma totally ask for favors. LOVE THISSS
I know that we are not supposed to be on Emily's side in these dinner scenes, but does anybody else find Lorelei's behavior to be gratingly immature? Lorelei clearly finds herself adorable, but at times I just want to tell her to stop acting like a wise-ass tween.
Thank god I’m not alone! I’ve always Lorelei insufferable. She clearly thinks she’s comedically astute and intelligibly hilarious. I understand that the overbearing presence of her mother and the challenges and expectations of high society life are what drove her to abscond with her child away from the crushing social pressures of her lofty upbringing but that is no excuse to be so immature especially in front of one’s daughter.
Her relationship is horrible with her mother-in-law. Richard’s mother never thought Emily wasn’t good enough for Richard and 35 years of kissing up never made her like Emily
Me & Emily have a special relationship together we have so much in common together. I well love you to meet you Kelly Bishop I have a a thing for Emily

"STOP TALKING TO THE DOG!" 😂😂that line broke me
I really love Richard’s mother. Emily gets a taste of her own medicine every time she visits.
damn right!
I love how Emily has an Emily and Mrs. Kim has a Mrs. Kim 😅
I personally think Trix (his nickname for her) is far, far worse than Emily! She makes Emily seem like a kitten by comparison!

@@Ratumuspackumus Cruel. A perfect word for Trix!
"Camelot is truly dead!" 😂 Never thought I'd ever howl at that sad line, but Emily was always so quick. 👏🏼😆
I cackle uncontrollably over "STOP TALKING TO THE DOGS!" lol
LMAO, the bit with the dogs is the BEST

Ariana Grande must have been a Gilmore Girls fan.
the way lorelai says “excuse me boys” i love her

When Lorelai isn't being a smarta** or telling jokes all the time, she's shown to be quite an intelligent woman.

@@danielabaldeon4880 exactly what you say
@@danielabaldeon4880 the call is coming from inside the house! Duh.....
This Kennedy thing comes up later in the episode where Rory and Lorelai visit a Harvard alum.

And i just want to tell Emily to quit being a butch to her daughter
ewww we don't like you
My mom always thought her character was immature and annoying 😅
Her maturity was stunted because of her fraught relationship with her parents and her teen pregnancy. It makes her character realistic.
