Great episode! What a kickoff to Hot Stove! How many sports podcasters know that info about chicken thighs? Lots of good info. And the songs! That chicken recipe. I'm making that!
Hi Kelley, I enjoyed your Hot Stove analysis. Soto is obviously the Yankees #1 priority. Thumbs up to Anthony Rizzo for playing hurt throughout the post season but having said that, I think Christian Walker could be a viable replacement at 1st base. He has HR power and is a solid defensively
@@martinober249 hi Martin, thanks for tuning in. Christian Walker would be a very nice move for the Yankees. Need some slugging from the first baseman.
I know Soto is generational, but jeez, I'm leaning towards rather seeing Mr. Cohen just drive up the price and not take him. Let Stearn build a team that gels. Re: Alonso - He did salvage his Mets loyalty. Nice job, as usual. You never disappoint. Re: Chicken Thigh - My Sicilian wife is also a clinical dietician...so, she loved the recipe, but would substitute :)
@@jimnhp8024 hi Jim and thanks for watching! Stearns sure knows how to build a team so Soto or not, the Mets will be the team to watch next year. And all recipes are flexible! I am glad you both are enjoying the cooking segments.
Should be a helluva race between these 2 clubs. Steve Cohen is going to make his presence felt! I feel as if the Yankees lose flexibility for their surrounding roster if they try to match Cohen if it becomes a bid war for Soto. Might just be better off pursuing Pete at this point. Very interested to see what Hal decides.
@@etamommy hi Eta, I think Santander would be great if they don’t get Soto. Burns of course would be awesome. Can never have enough pitching. Thanks for watching!
I don’t really think that it should be the Yankees who allocate the amount of money that seems necessary to obtain Sotos services for an extended period. Now he’s a great hitter probably the best in baseball, but he is not a complete player. I think that the Yankees would do better to obtain two or three very very good players are more well rounded.
I think that for the Yankees, a contact guy premier contact guy like Stephen Quan of the guardians or the first baseman for the San Diego Padres whose name I always will misspell so I’ll leave it at that. This year again won the (National League) batting title. You definitely contact guys in addition to power however, if you want to look at other options, Vladimir Guerrera and Alex Bregman may both be available. Gotta spend big to get some production out of the corner in fielders. And we have to then move jazz to second base.
only an idiot team will pay Soto same money as Othani , plus Othani brings Japan can Soto bring a Country to watch him? WS game 2 viewership in Japan is 15.9 million viewers.
