Michael, the Dodgers are much better. Fundamentals aren't some anomaly separate from one's skill and training. It is one of the inherent reasons the Dodgers are better. It baffles me how this is flying over the heads of New Yorkers. It always comes down to clean play. It's little league. The big hits are worthless unless you understand fundamentals and team play.

Neither team was perfect. I don't agree that the Dodgers had the better team but I do agree that they played better. If Judge has the series that Freddie Freeman had then the Yankees would have won. Does that mean that Freeman is better than Judge? I've never heard anyone suggest that.

Michael, with all due respect - the Dodgers *were* that much better. Listen to your cohosts. The Yankees had an easier path to the World Series and their fans had an inflated sense of how good they were because of that. The Yankees didn't choke. The better team with the better record, despite leading the league in days missed due to injury, being down EIGHT starters, and missing their 2nd best BP arm in the world series (Phillips), won. This is who the Yankees were all year being the worst baserunning team in baseball. I understand it's the better and more captivating story but the 90% Yankees choked and 10% oh but the Dodgers deserved to win is a sad narrative. I hope the Dodgers use it next year as motivation because they're not getting the respect they deserve from most of the media.

They played 2 teams previously in these playoffs that most people thought would have beaten the Yankees as well. There’s a reason why those teams won more than 1 game against the Dodgers. The Yankees won 1 game against the Dodgers JV pitchers. Take the best game that the Yankees played in these playoffs and compare it to the Dodgers. Dodgers at their best 8-0 against the Padre, 9-0 against the Mets and another 8-0 against the Mets. These were against better competition. It really is a surprise that the Dodgers didn’t have a game against the Yankees similar to those games. I really think it was due to Ohtani’s injury. The padres were the only team that had a real chance against the Dodgers this year. If the Padres had a 7 game series, it might have been different.

    "All-Star Home Run Derby Syndrome"
The reason for Judge and Ohtani's poor performance is that they were too conscious of the home run record just before the end of the regular season. After participating in the All-Star Game Home Run Derby, their batting form can go haywire.
In fact, many sluggers refuse to participate.

Yankees shot themselves in their feet. Boone bonehead mistake of using injured Nector Cortes for Game 1 a gift 🎁 to the Dodgers as well. Look at the bright side Yankees are the second best team for 2024 , I think 🤔 the Yankees would’ve lost game 6 or 7 at . Hal Steinbrenner should fire 🔥 Boone for poorly managed team, and no championship in 7 years and 🔥 Cashman a poorly constructed team for 330 million payroll and no championship for 15 years and counting. Those are down the fall of the Yankees plus stupid mistakes in game 5 by 3 players and Boone stupid mistake of using an injured pitcher Nector Cortes to pitch against Ohtani and Freddy Kruger.

Aaron Judge DID NOT TAKE LESS MONEY. Judge turned down the Yankee offer of 200-plus million, then Yankees came back, made him the highest paid at the time. In today’s game, money talks. The Dodgers were the better more resilient team. Cole could have ended it, not Rizzo, by doing HIS job and covering 1st. This is a play taught at Little League and drilled into everyone, especially elite players at every stage. Stop being a homer and call it like it is. It easily could be 3-2 NY right now with the teams getting ready to play game 6 in LA tonight. If every game was 10-0 Dodgers, I'd agree they were the much better team. But even game 2 was decided at the very end with Trevino's fly out. And he made good contact. If his swing is just a little better that game is at least tied. If players never hit the top twenty-five percentile of pitchers in the league during the regular season, why would you think they would hit those same pitchers in the post-season. Soto is the only decent situational hitter on the Yankee roster, other than that nobody on the Yankee team is a good situational hitter. Judge for all the home-runs he hits in the regular season, will likely always struggle in the post-season, because he has never adjusted to hit any pitch mid thigh or lower, and he is so extremely vulnerable to curves, sliders, and change-ups in the lower quadrants, and that is all he saw in the post-season. The body, talent, skill-set are your leverage for baseball players, and to Soto, baseball is his business. The owners are all dollars and sense, and baseball players have the same right to treat their career the same. All the years honing his skill, practicing his swing, now it is time to reap the rewards for Soto.
