Not once have I gotten the V2 to read below 89. Users on Reddit have said this is fine but hey, still not powering up! Just makes a beep and shows not lights on the front and the chip doesn't pulsate. Steady red light on Ace v3, SD tool steady red. Crystal disconnected with quick disconnect on a V2 4GB Corona. Not a whole lot of information out there. Following your tutorial on it skipped the post fix installation and there was no information on any difference. according to JRunner I need it because the traces are missing. I've written countless timing files, resoldered everything a few times, checked and rechecked everything and still it won't boot xell.
Felicito ampliamente a TheWeekendModder, por los datos que comparte en este video, sin duda son de gran importancia para estar seguro que un Post Fix esta bien instalado. Saludos desde Veracruz Mexico.
i bought some of the post fix adapters from you and looking at the video the point where the pin goes to the PCB is solid however on the set that i got the point "where the pin connects to the pcb is just a hole, the pin is under the cpu but when testing resistance i dont get any reading on any of the pads.
If I understand your description, you're meaning the little pad directly above the pin on the postfix? How "full" those are just varies based on the exact manufacturing run, if they apply an excess of solder paste then that area will seem "full" but with a little less solder paste it still makes the connection but that area can appear to be a bit of a void. If it bothers you, you could add some solder to that area carefully with the postfix NOT installed so there is no pressure on the pin when you add the solder.
@@TheWeekendModder the issue I’m having is even after installing the post fix adapter I checked for resistance on the pads and got no reading, but the point of the post fox adapter is under the cpu. When I boot as well I get no fan spin, no lights no nothing. To which I’m assuming is “post” on a Xbox 360
Hi Aaron, I did exactly as you say but I can't go beyond 21kohm even trying to move the adapter. However, having less resistance means more contact. Or not? With the console on I have 1.8V between ground and the postfix pad. Can I go forward with these values?
so what does this do exactly? im a bit confused, i been into modding an stuff for years, but not heard of this, but didnt know there was as many 360 hardware mods there are. i always just did the phat drive flash an that was it. im trying to do a RGH to a few 360s this week, have some parts coming an see what happens, not new to soldering either
RGH/JTAG is basically like jailbreak - it lets you run even unsigned code, like custom dashboards, emulators, or rip games to your hdd to play back later without the disc.
quick question back a few years ago my son sent off his xbox 360 s to get modded….since then he gets the blue screen and I'm wondering can this thing be restored to the original form? I find a lot of videos on how to mod one but not to many on how to get it back to the original form....I would appreciate your feed back...thx
You need his original nanddump to revert it. And to remove the glitch chip's power at minimum. Honestly, given that you can pick up a non-modded 360 at any pawn shop for less than $40 these days it's probably easiest to just do that.
Later versions of the corona motherboard removed traces necessary for RGH. These traces come from the CPU, so, this adapter has a tiny wire that grabs that signal and gives you a pad to solder to. Thats the wire you see slide under as hes installing it. Hope this helps.
hey bro, i have a very similar multimeter like yours, i set up in 200k, but the reading give me 95 or 100, i tryed with another 2 postfix adapters and it the same, its normal? by the way, i started to make those checks becouse a console after 15 mins of play turn off and the red dot comes out, so i changed the ace v3 chip and later the postfixadapter, I realized about the reading its not like did you said should be, its my multimeter, the postfix adapter or the console the problem? thanks a lot
@@TheWeekendModder thanks a lot, at the end i let the post and the reading was 87 and it works, i think part of the problem was the previuos post fix adapter, becouse ten minutes playing the consola goes to red with the 0022 code, but i change the postfix adapter in 87 and work, the readinf of the other was 98, like you said maybe the bateries are too have something to see, thanks a lot.
Hi, I purchased one of these from you, along with some flux and memory addon PCBs for my Trinity consoles. Does the Xbox 360 need the power supply plugged in to get a proper reading? Also, how did you get an X360Mega to work on Corona? I’ve only been able to get those to glitch on Trinity consoles...
No, the console should not be plugged in when measuring POST. I played with the Mega as a one off and wasn't impressed enough to switch to it. From what I recall it's basically a CR4 clone so I probably referenced the official CR4 docs over at the team-xecuter site.
TheWeekendModder Yep, it’s definitely a CR4 clone. Team-Xecuter actively shuns users who use CR4 clones so I’m 99% certain they don’t support it. I’m just stunned that you actually got the Corona to glitch with the X360 Mega. I, as well as 6 others I’ve talked to, have not been able to get Coronas to glitch with that chip. The install docs for the X360 Mega are up on EurAsia.nu’s download section, and there’s no postbit jumpers or DIP switches to flip on the chip. It’s supposed to be a “zero-config” CR4 glitch chip. I’m sorry if I’m repeating myself at all, but did the Corona actually glitch with that chip? And if so, where did you purchase it?
I might have just gotten lucky with this one. I only bought 5 of those Megas and installed like... 2 maybe? I just wasn't impressed enough with them to abandon the tried and true Ace V3.
TheWeekendModder Fair enough- I originally bought it for a corona system and recently acquired another. I was planning on using the X360 Mega on my second Trinity console, but it refuses to boot xell using that or the CR4 Slim (clone). I spent nearly the whole day yesterday attempting an RGH muffin install, but that’s not seeming to work either. I have a feeling I’ll have to either RGH2 it or buy an Ace v3 and S-RGH it. Anyway, thanks for your time and info! Greatly appreciated!
@TheWeekendModder Omg, this tutorial would have been perfect for me when I did my first Console (corona v6). It took me several days just to realize that my Post fix Adapter was the issue, on top of the time it took to get a new one from ebay.

No.
Sorry to sound to sound like a noob, but once i install this do i continue soldering wires to the back or use the pads on this device?
This might be an old video but the resistance should be 2.8~2.9 KOhm.
When i set my multi meter to 200k my readings only come to 12.3. i tried 3 diff post fix all read around 12. Any suggestions please?
never seen that before, I suppose you should just proceed with an install and see if it works
I did works for 1min then center red ring. If i wait like 30Min with it off it will do the exact same thing again
i really dont know whats going on i bought a 5 pack of post fixs off ebay i might open them all

Same
do you need postfix adapters for all corona boards?
No. Only if the posts are missing.

I see you switch from the V1 adapter to V2 midway through the video. Is there a reason to prefer one over the other?
No. They're functionally the same, the V2 just has extra traces to simulate longer wire lengths for boot tuning.

can a soldering point on a ace v3 be fixable if pulled off?
You can solder to a VIA to bypass any pad (if a VIA is there).
i know that i have to pay with bitcoin for international shipping but do i need to pay extra for shipping on the site?
Yes, my default USA shipping is like $13, but international shipping varies country by country and can be up to $60 or more.
TheWeekendModder how much is it shipping to the netherlands?
$86.95. See for yourself here: ircalc.usps.com/MailServices.aspx?country=10298&m=13&dpb=0&mdt=2017/02/09%2010:00&mt=11&dok=XX&dvi=250

Once the console is in my hands I have them modded within 3-4 days usually, with a 10 day maximum guarantee.

Hey man I plan on sending in my Xbox slim E but before I do I wanna make sure its able to be rghed the manufacture date is 8-21-2013
Yes, with a 2013 MFR date even though it's a E it will be a Corona and will be mod-able.
TheWeekendModder are you still open for me to send it in to rgh it? Because if so I'll send it in Monday morning.

hey, can i buy a xbox from a foreign country or what?
and also which one is the best xbox, slim, slim E or what?
I only ship internationally for orders paid for with bitcoin. if you still want to buy - email me at weekendmodder@gmail.com and we can work it out.
What is better, V1 or V2?
They are equivalent. Only difference is the V2 has extra traces that simulate longer wire lengths for tuning.
Can I send u my jtag and can u fix it
That depends entirely on what is wrong with it. You can see the 'unbrick' services that I offer on my site at store.weekendmodder.com
$4.25 for a piece of metal that might not work. Nice
By all means order them from China directly yourself and pay the $3 each. But be sure to order several, cause they have the same quality issues.
What's your skype or fb
I don't regularly use either of those, but you can email me at weekendmodder@gmail.com
