Children being able to do horrifying things like this is the reason why more parents should be paying attention to their kids instead of just letting them do whatever they want.

Thing is, in their innocence, they can't understand the full extent of their actions. I think there's a famous case in Canada were a kid murdered a classmate that wouldn't give his eraser back or something. To us this is completely out of proportion but in a kids mind this may be the same as just pushing them or something. Not being aware of how their actions affect others is why kids can be so evil, have you seem how kids bully their classmates? It's crazy lol
Ive seen someone younger than her, hit animals. The excuse from the parents “shes just a kid” and you’re an adult, teach her that this isn’t okay and get her help. Child or not you still need to draw a line.
Treat kids as adults. Talk to them normally, don’t say, “yay your such a big girl.” Your job is to teach them. Respect them as human beings, correct their behaviors and tell them why their actions are wrong, don’t just punish, fully explain the system behind their actions. the ‘murderous little girl’ trope is compelling for a reason - it contradicts what we come to expect, as childhood is associated with innocence, and killers are generally presumed to be adult men. when it manifests in real life, however, the tragedy of this contradiction becomes much more apparent.

When I was in kindergarten, I knew what incest was. I was quite fond of my cousin (it's not gonna escalate, I promise) at that time. Maybe it seemed like a crush to me, because people kept pushing that term to my face, fawning over the idea of a "child's innocent first love", but yeah- I knew exactly what that word meant and knew that whatever I'd attempt to do would be illegal, regardless of my situation. Also, now that I think of it, my cousin was just really fun to play with back then, because I was lonely and the family relatives living with us before were just really bad influences. I'm glad we're no longer associated well. I hope they get better though. They too were influenced by bad "friends". I could also tell more stories, but that would be too much to share and wouldn't be safe either. Anyway, in short, children are capable of grasping serious concepts just like you and I or anyone of that matter. Some won't have the most clear idea, but would still understand enough. So, we shouldn't forget, ignore, or let whatever wrong things (such as not taking care for themselves, bullying, stealing, etc.) they do pass on. That doesn't mean we should reprimand them brutally though. More problems would be bound to happen if one thinks in such a way then. At least just understand the children you're raising well enough and see to it that you check up on them.

It was my first time meeting them, and we went over to swim at their apartment pool. I was always nervous to swim and so my grandmother made it clear that I used a kickboard to swim. Those kids pushed me into the pool, threw my kickboard away, and started laughing as I drowned. They then ran away when they saw my struggling. Luckily the water wasn't deep, above my head by a foot or so. I remember jumping up and down from the pool floor until I could reach my kickboard that they had thrown into the pool. So if someone attacks you for no reason, you just have to either deal with it until a coach comes to help, or you fight back and get in just as much trouble. There was a cheerleader who was pushed into the mud and beaten my another girl, and she literally just covered her face the best she could and waited, and she still got suspended for a week or something like that. Oh, there are actually multiple cases of children being murderers in the recent decades (probably also before, but I don't know any older cases). Its uncommon but - sadly - not unheard-of.
@@TheMightyZwom i feel like children killing children were a thing before the earliest instance we know of; either people thinking a child isn't capable of murder, or their parents covering it up. Just what I think tho not stating a fact. Regardless, its scary and sad
The case made the rounds on a couple of crime shows. I believe I saw it on a deadly women episode about girls that kill a long time ago. If it's the right one they charged her but because she was like 7 or something she was put in juv till 18 and lived a free life ever since.
As for rarity of children that kill or just why, I don't have much of an idea. Probably a little more then we estimate because of how easily they can avoid the eyes of the law, but most people don't plan out crimes that far let alone kids.
It’s a big deal in the UK
Right? Reign needs to give us a video on that.
It's creepy enough when people romanticize grown male killers, but when the killer is a little girl it goes from unsettling to just goddamn gross tbh
@@michaelg8841 I feel like the whole yandere thing is unsettling for the same reason as the male serial killer fandom; the fans of the underage girl killer gross me out bc it also starts adding some pedophilia vibes into an already terrible obsession
@@michaelg8841 bruh a yandere is a manga trope,it's fucking fiction. You can't possibly be turning a real life murder case into an argument about how a fictional horror trope is disgusting
is there really a difference??
@@philxdev Yeah, one is romanticizing and fetishizing grown adults with a problem. And one is doing the same thing to children as young as ten.
@@philxdev Buddy. People looking at ten year old children on the internet in a closely intimate way, especially the way the fans in the serial killer communities treat their idols, is much different than idolization. It's not just looking at someone like a role model or something like that, it's people looking at a little girl in a vulnerable situation and calling her "cute" and "beautiful" and then slowly escalating into them fantasizing about having way too intimate a relationship with, again, a ten year old child. This isn't just me speculating, this is precisely the actions of the fan group circulating grown male serial killers and likely the actions of this fans base as well, thus why I called it gross. Don't bother replying further to this, because I'm not going to explain to you further why fantasies of pedophilia are bad.
the ‘murderous little girl’ trope is compelling for a reason - it contradicts what we come to expect, as childhood is associated with innocence, and killers are generally presumed to be adult men.
when it manifests in real life, however, the tragedy of this contradiction becomes much more apparent.
Well said
Were also pretty dezenzitized to in in fiction. I have a friend who is 21 but is anorexic and both looks and act like she's 14, litterally inviting me over to her house to just draw. She looks afraid of her own shadow 24/7. She drew some pretty dark stuff and it caught me completly off guard.

When I was a kid, my family went to a party on the 4th of July. The house we went to was on a lake. There was like ten kids. We all went swimming and there was this girl a little older than me. I was probably 6 and she was probably 8 or 9. At some point she kept pushing me under water. I thought she was playing around and kept trying to swim away from her going deeper and deeper into the lake. Now I had learned how to swim without floaties when I was 4. My mom had sent me to summer camp and they taught us how to swim. So as we went deeper and deeper into the lake I realized she wasn’t playing, she was actually trying to drown me. This went on until I was practically in the middle of the lake and she got scared of drowning herself and gave up. I look back on the incident from time to time now that I am an adult and think what if I hadn’t learned to swim? she would have killed me and gotten away with it. When I was in kindergarten, I knew what incest was.
I was quite fond of my cousin (it's not gonna escalate, I promise) at that time. Maybe it seemed like a crush to me, because people kept pushing that term to my face, fawning over the idea of a "child's innocent first love", but yeah-
I knew exactly what that word meant and knew that whatever I'd attempt to do would be illegal, regardless of my situation.

A few things to note: In Japan's culture, mental health and other related things are heavily stigmatized by society. The school system has also been criticized for having put too much pressure on young students, to the point that it causes children as young as 12 years of age to have experienced nervous breakdown to the extent of hospitalization.
They also turn a blind eye or deny all allegations of bullying, even when a complaint has been filed; sometimes files 'magically' disappear from the dockets. Children have also attempted (and unfortunately, succeeded) in committing suicide in many instances. Others completely withdraw from society and become hikikomori. Honestly, this is a whole bag of stupid, and if they had Girl A's home life and mental state checked on earlier and removed her from it, this might have been prevented. But noooo "let's lower down the age of criminal responsibility to 14! Yes! We've done it! Juvenile crime is no more!"
Dude, kids have lesser empathy/sympathy than adults due to having underdeveloped brains. You think the threat of incarceration would do the trick for one of the more messed-up ones? Those ones need therapy before they do terrible stuff like Girl A.

@@keyboardwarrior3702 At my high school, we would get punished for fighting back, and it would usually be the same punishment as the person who started the fight. And teachers won't even break the fight up. They go and get one of the coaches to do it, which takes a while. Idk why the rules are like that in school because in the real world, you have the right to defend yourself. I thought school was supposed to prepare you for the real world?
