I remember going to Karpos live back in 2019 here in the Philippines.
He sang an unreleased version of this, specifically the "i want to be nice to you" part. I still remember how soothing his voice was and how it gave me goosebumps.

I just recently lost my chocolate lab at 12 years old and this makes me miss him lots but gives me a sense of comfort. I miss you Ollie and you'll always be in my heart
same. lost my chocolate lab at 13 yrs old. i had him since i was 3 so i pretty much never knew a life without him. we grew up together and were best friends. when he passed i was crying for months. i’ll still never get over it but you learn to cope and come to acceptance eventually.

Recuerdo cuando escuche esta canción por primera vez. Faltaba poco para mi salida de la secundaria, cosa que temía demasiado ya que conocí muy lindas personas, tanto compañeros, como maestros y personal del plantel. My interpretation of this song is about a relationship where one is limerent. As they progress, the limerent person is anxious about the realization that this isn't love and genuine connection. They feel guilty wasting the time of someone who cares about them. That they're too messed up. So what if their partner said this to them

it'll be 1 year tomorrow since I lost the greatest friend one could wish for. Jake the Dog. named him from adventure time lol this is what I imagine heaven will be like. cruising with the my past dogs....
my brother and his roommate in 2012 decided to pick up a dog from a petsmart that was having an adoption event. that's were they met Jake. The roommate and god knew my brother needed a dog. a few months later I moved back to Texas and we started to live together again. Jake was around a year old by now and the rest is history. he's the reason why we have other dogs and my sister now has dogs. he was perfect, gentle, loving, respectful, had a unique coat, protective, and made a freakish amount of eye contact like he was always understood me. I could go on forever....

my god i adored this video from the first. its so wonderful and so heartbreaking to imagine your best friend you've known since a newborn growing up before your very eyes. learning to trust them as an adult, seeing them having their own kids, when to you they're still the baby who struggled to walk and you could hold in your arms. something so bittersweet, it breaks my heart and mends it at the same time.
This music video is so wholesome, symbolic, and sweet that it almost made me cry. Such a good song too.
