Often do a couple of jacket potatoes with beans and cheese. I buy spuds by the sackfull and the beans in bulk.
Probably costs about a quid for the pair including cost for cooking if that. But I'll buy me and lass one apiece if
we're out and about and not get much change from a fiver. Cooking at home is usually cheaper but not when you're paying someone else to do half the job for you. Some canned food is worth less than the can. Nice one Gareth.

The allergen labelling requirement by law only needs to list the ingredients of the Prepacked for direct sale (PPDS) food and use bold or a form of clear refence as to which ingredient contains what allergen e.g. cheese (milk) There is no other requirement to alert you on the label but it is good practice to do so. An exception would be "Packed in an environment that may contain X.
Cheesy beans are much improved by adding the grated cheese after plating up the beans as you get all the stringy bits. Great video, £1.80 is taking the mick.

    No, no, NO.
    NO.
You DO NOT - EVER - churn Cathedral City into baked beans. That cheese is the Holy Grail of the dairy industry. It is beautiful and so precious that shoving it in a can is pure sacrilege.
That's basically like throwing the Mona Lisa on a bookshelf. Upside down.
    You add cheese TO beans.
If I was a real foodie I'd be fuming 🤣

It's the same for all these flavoured beans from Heinz. I never bought their standard beans anyway because of their cost, but then they nearly doubled the price! Own-brand beans and a shot of chilli sauce, curry powder or BBQ sauce are far cheaper. Now cheesy beans! No thanks, I'll grab some cheese from the fridge as you say. On this subject, we used to add an OXO or Bovril cube for Beefy Beans decades ago. I wonder how long it will be before we see Heinz Marmite beans?

In 1992 Heinz bought out the New Zealand Wattie's because they were outselling with their brand of tinned beans and spaghetti. The main sellers funnily enough were their sausage and beans/spaghetti and so called 'cheesier' baked beans/spaghetti. The Kiwis were ahead of the game 30 years ago ..

Did you know that the cheese used is either off cuts or taken from blocks that have gone mouldy and the blocks cleaned up and the same goes for grated cheese, they would never use a good block of cheese to go into beans or grated cheese.... If so, then it's a poor quality cheese that didn't make the grade. However, cathedral do make a quality cheese.
