Just a note, if Heinz is the only brand for your beans, and for my better half it is, then Iceland have them on promotion at £7.50 for 12 tins/ £15 a case. If like us you're over 60, buy on a Tuesday and get 10% off and it comes out around 55p a tin. Cheapest I have seen them in some years
In 1992 Heinz bought out the New Zealand Wattie's because they were outselling with their brand of tinned beans and spaghetti. The main sellers funnily enough were their sausage and beans/spaghetti and so called 'cheesier' baked beans/spaghetti. The Kiwis were ahead of the game 30 years ago ..
Did you know that the cheese used is either off cuts or taken from blocks that have gone mouldy and the blocks cleaned up and the same goes for grated cheese, they would never use a good block of cheese to go into beans or grated cheese.... If so, then it's a poor quality cheese that didn't make the grade. However, cathedral do make a quality cheese.
Ouch! Yes as you say there are plenty of beans about and cheese too. I prefer Branston's but Bramwell's are not bad and if your adding cheese it makes little difference and you can go a little more than 8%. They are playing on the names but is it worth 1.80?
My granddaughter had Lidl simple beans and loved grating her own cheese for her baked potato this tea time. She loved every mouthful and cost less than a pound for whole meal. Xx
Who buys these? Me in 6 months time when they are reduced to clear 😂. Heinz keep on trying things like this. Great review 👌👍

now that this product is out itll be interesting to see how long it takes lidl and aldi to bring their own version of the product out at a cheaper price, i was thinking too... if cathederal city used their extra mature cheese it would taste better but theyre obviously going down the mass production of a cheaper variety to supply to heinz... nice review tho mate and bullet dodged.. ill steer clear of them when im out shopping and stick to the home made cheesey beanos
The reason for the price could be that people pay for the " brand " name, go 8nto any major supermarket and check out branded goods compared to own brand.

Reminds me of the variety curry ones; they were a cynical cash grab too. Thanks for trying these Gareth-I won't be shelling out nearly 2 quid for these.
Morrison's Savers baked beans are 27p for 410g and good enough for me.
Hi I would leve them on the shelf 😂😂😂😂
Learn to spell.. 😂
@@stussyhuff Be nice !!
@@stussyhuff too late at 62 🤣😂😂
Wow. We really are in the twiglight zone now Gareth. Lol.
What’s the best type of hammer to use for the hammering of more cheese into the beans?
Ouch! Yes as you say there are plenty of beans about and cheese too. I prefer Branston's but Bramwell's are not bad and if your adding cheese it makes little difference and you can go a little more than 8%. They are playing on the names but is it worth 1.80?
No it isn't!
My granddaughter had Lidl simple beans and loved grating her own cheese for her baked potato this tea time. She loved every mouthful and cost less than a pound for whole meal. Xx
Never mind the beans what make is your air fryer your chips look amazing 😍
Thank you 😋
Who buys these? Me in 6 months time when they are reduced to clear 😂. Heinz keep on trying things like this. Like saucy sauce which was ketchup and mayo mixed in the same bottle, £3.50 or just buy supermarket own brand and make it yourself for under £1.50 with the added bonus of just having ketchup or mayo when you want to. Great review 👌👍
My late Uncle Paul would call what Heinz are charging here "Absolute THEFT."
£1.80 though for a flamin' tin of Cheesy beans it's sheer MADNESS!!
The best ones are , Cheesey Peas, on The Fast Show :)
Gaz, keep up the great reviews! You’ve changed my shopping habits. I changed from shopping in Sainsbury’s to Aldi this year. This weeks shop was £50 (Sainsbury’s usually around £80). Thank you for opening my eyes to over-priced ‘brands’.
Keep up the great work! 🫡
Nice one
Sainsbury’s beans are 49p. Mix some strong grated cheese just before taking them out of the pot
Job done 👍
Glad you tried this so I don’t have to. Also - chips and beans - quality - a proper tea from my childhood!
now that this product is out itll be interesting to see how long it takes lidl and aldi to bring their own version of the product out at a cheaper price, i was thinking too... if cathederal city used their extra mature cheese it would taste better but theyre obviously going down the mass production of a cheaper variety to supply to heinz... nice review tho mate and bullet dodged.. ill steer clear of them when im out shopping and stick to the home made cheesey beanos
The reason for the price could be that people pay for the " brand " name, go 8nto any major supermarket and check out branded goods compared to own brand.
It's cheap where you live, at our Co Op, I saw Heinz Tomato Soup... reduced to £1.60!!!!
Normal beans are incredibly pricey too.. can't remember how much.
Unbelievable Jeff! They can keep em. Cheers Gaz.
Haha cheers Hoppers. I miss him lol 😆
Baked Beans and mix in a oxo cube---lovely jubbly!
Sounds great!
