Any post house I’ve worked at sadly seems to adopt the policy of staying a version or two behind the latest release. Looking forward to trying this in 2024.
Hi natxo sainz, depending on the browser you are using, some links automatically download and other don't. Please try right-clicking on the link and choose SAVE LINK AS... This should allow you to download the zip file. I just checked and everything is there. Hope this helps!
Any time I try to parent an element to the perspective that I choose after using this work-flow, and even when doing planar tracking using a perspective grid - the element that is married to the axis/track immediately becomes skewed and hard to repo/manage inside of the comp. This happens regularly. I noticed that before you made an adjustment to your flat-screen TV, you had to pop over to the Z Axis on your pos and zero it out. It would be helpful to explain why you had to do that step, instead of just doing it in the video and not mentioning it. How come every time I use this same exact work-flow, the item that I am trying to parent to my track is automatically skewed and warped and does not take on the position/perspective of that axis that I parent it to?
Depending on how you add the axis and its surface to the composite, it may or may not automatically add itself to the 0,0,0 co-ordinates of the the 3d composite. The reason for zero'ing the transformation co-ordinates of the new axis is that the tracked axis already knows its position in 3d space ( from the 3d track). So you're new object must be at the same point in 3d space to take the exact move at that point. If there is an offset in Z-space (like a second Z co-ordinate in the new axis) your object will be either in front or behind the tracked axis. This means the movement will not line up. Hence the reason to confirm everything is exactly at the tracking axis in 3d space. This is the same for 3d tracking and perspective grid. You need to ensure your new object sits at that point in 3d space or directly on the grid to match the movement. Concerning the warping of the perspective in a 3d track, your tracking axis needs to be created from at least two/three points in the point cloud to calculate the perspective. This is what you see when I select the points on the wall before clicking create scene axis. If you select just one point and create a scene axis, the axis will be facing the camera with no reference to perspective. This is optional and considered a guideline. You can still select your axis and manually orientate it to what you need.
Hi, to answer your questions, 1. I am not a developer so I do not know why exactly Flame does not support windows. However we offer Linux and Mac solutions. 2. We don't generally talk about future releases of Flame so I cant give you an answer on that. Apologies that I cant be more helpful.
@Darian, the Camera Analysis was introduced in Flame 2022. This is mentioned in the title of the video as well as in the description which states the version of Flame that the video was recorded with. Hope that helps!
Hi Visionpro you will only be able to see the Camera Analysis Camera View after you have done the analysis. There is no use seeing it beforehand. Switch the the Camera Analysis Media View (F8) to see your background before doing the track.
Excited to start using it!
Great to hear that! Thanks for the feedback!
Can't wait to try this out
Have fun!

Hey Grant, I'm having an issue whenever I attach my scene axis to my surface axis it moves it so far in Z
This looks great, looking forward to trying this out. Are there any plans for using the new point cloud to create geo?
Part 4 seems to have answered this! 😂
It does indeed! :)
can i export track data to 3dsmax ?
Nice
Thanks

1. Can you explain why doesn't Flame support window ?
2. Will it support window in the future ?
Thanks so much.
