⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ New Staten Island Railway R211S Debuts in Passenger Service!

More than 50 years after the R44s debuted in service on the Staten Island Railway in 1973, a new type of rolling stock, the R211S, has begun operating! These brand-new cars will replace the old R44 cars, the oldest rolling stock still in passenger service on the MTA's network. Here we see the first R211S train, 100-104, on its very first day operating in passenger service. Enjoy!
