  • Old Worthing as you have never seen it before!
    Old Worthing street scenes and people from Victorian and Edwardian Worthing emerge from the past. Old images are accompanied by modern day images, to give a sense of change over the years.
    Text by Chris Hare helps explain the significance of each image and the history behind them. The show includes what is probably the oldest photograph of Worthing that survives, taken in 1857.

    As a kid i lived in Worthing , attending a school in Tarring, we left for Australia in 1965 when i was 13, as a kid i loved the pier, loved these old photos, thanks.

    This was amazing. Having been involved in some cataloguing of photographs and postcards at the library there are many images here that I've never seen before. Loved the music too
