Wow, thank you so much for sharing the history of my hometown! I love the attention to detail!
As a long time resident, I would be a lot more interested in in why people stay in Worthing.
There was a boat half way up George V Avenue
Worthing is such a dump I'm amazed that anyone wants to go there
Amazing thankyou.😊
Fabulous information, spent most of my younger years in the area, so its great to know more of its social history. Thanks
Only just spotted this Chris. Lovely. Really enjoyed your talk.
Towns a shithole now
That was great! I live in Worthing and never knew about the High Street where Waitrose is now, what a shame it doesn't exist anymore, they looked like wonderful buildings - Thanks for the history and stories.
We all choose a location to live based on many different variables one being stage of life. We’ve just retired back to Brighton where I grew up and left 40 years before aged 18. We’ve been here in Brighton 5 years now. We know all our neighbours…. we were able to get rid of the car. Only use public transport now or a bike. B&H is very friendly in our experience …. these interviews are pretty biased.
As a kid i lived in Worthing , attending a school in Tarring, we left for Australia in 1965 when i was 13, as a kid i loved the pier, loved these old photos, thanks.
Brighton is London by the sea too commercialised
I have enjoyed watching and learning! I will continue to do so, thankyou.
'Accordion' is spelt with one 'A'
I enjoyed watching this, but as a single person it didnt give me a lot of info about options for single people? Do you have any plans to cover new single people moving to the area at all? Kindly S
Fantastic! I got an offer to work in Worthing Hospital. I just wonder how is the cost of living around the area. How much flats cost or something.
Excellent work Chris!
Interviewees predominantly moved from Brighton. It would have been interesting to have more of a mix including those born and bred in Worthing across the generations.
Shoreham born, Worthing bred, I got a quiff and I`m a Ted
Very interesting. Thank you for your hard work it was definitely worthwhile!
This was amazing. Having been involved in some cataloguing of photographs and postcards at the library there are many images here that I've never seen before. Loved the music too
