Method 3 worked for me. Once I booted from the USB, I just needed to find where the OS was at. It was F: for me. Just try some letters and type dir in the command prompt until you see Windows directory. Then use Method 2 to complete. Love it!

The second method worked for me, except when I rebooted to the command prompt it still wanted me to login to the account.
However since I happened to have another drive with windows installed I was able to boot to that windows install, access the system32 folder on the install I forgot the password to, and change utilman to cmd that way.
I did have to take ownership of the file though by changing the owner from trusted installer to "everyone" and add "everyone" with full control to the security center or whatever.

I have used the 2nd option and this really working, the twist is on windows accessibility icon, utillman cmd manager was not showing, so I reset the windows 11 and reinstalled it by device, in which it just removes the settings and reset it by default but your data will be safe. After that I got the option to reset the password and it worked, thank you ❤

Unfortunately no. I ended up taking my laptop to the service centre for their assistance. They managed to transfer my files from laptop into an external drive before re-installing Windows 10 for me. Hope your situation gets resolved soon.

Try doind dir d , dir e or dir f . This will list all the folders in your drives then check which drive contains your window folder and then do steps in that drive 👍. If facing problem reply on this comment I'll help
