People need to remember that these voice clips were recorded when Toshimitsu Arai was at his weakest due to him being sickened at the time he voiced Rugal for the game (Although he still do somewhat acceptable job as Rugal). Hell, even Arai's other roles in 2002 UM, O. Zero and Heidern, also sounds much worse than they do in the previous games as well. KoF Sky Stage, a PSP game that released a few months after 2002 UM and also the last game Arai was involved in KoF series, Arai's voice has much more energy there and his Rugal voice in that game sounds almost similar to his '98 and CVS voices rather than the sickened man voice he did for 2002 UM lol.
I didn't know that information, I thought that just a long time passed and rugal's voice no longer came out, but I was surprised to learn that he was sick, for me he will always be the voice of Rugal, Heidern, Saisyu and Zero

This voice its awful for Rugal, no matter if its the original or clips from 98 or 95. OG 2002 voice sounds way more menacing and porwerful.
