I typically runs full length arca on my rigs so I can pull my bipod in to get more elevation. Also, the ability to mount on a tripod anywhere is awesome. Now, if someone could please come out with an ultralight /functional arca bipod! And of course my rails(and brakes) are all srs! Ken and his team make amazing stuff at an affordable price which doesn’t seem like a likely combination but he nailed it.
Finally, an ARCA rail that appears to justify the price it asks. Most rails are little more than 1/4" flat bar with 45° chamfers and they want $100 for it. It's insane.
Did not mean it to be a criticism. He helped you to settle down. As I said after a rocky start it got a lot more interesting. I was an engineer also and still find it difficult to talk to non technical people. Good products though.
Hello Gavin. I have a 1959 Winchester 30-30 that I am restoring. Ordering a Boyds stock and Cerakote for the finish. Just wondering if you or anyone else here might know if there are scout style rails for this rifle. Thanks and happy shooting.
I want to mount an Arca-Swiss rail on a CZ 457 ProVarmint Suppressor-Ready rifle to shoot off a tripod. I know that I can drill holes into the stock, but I rather go with using the 2 default sling stud holes that it already has on the stock. I’m currently using a Harris bipod that is mounted on the Sling stud closest to the front end of the stock. What is your recommendation? If needed, I could always get an adapter for the Harris bipod to fit the newly installed rail.
Very timely video, Gavin. Just bought the SRS hunter rail. My Manners EH1 has a bulge mid way between floor plate and the forend. I’ll need to grind it down to mount the rail. Any suggestions on tools or methods to achieve this?
Y oh y is the primer shortage still a thing I'm 21 from az I just got into reloading and I've called every shop in a hundred miles and checked every website and I can't fine large rifle primers anywhere
I'm looking for a full length arca rail but I am currently running a Manners T4a folder. It has the dreaded hump just forward of the bottom medal making it hard to attach it to the front action screw and a second point up at the fore end. Do you have a solution for this stock geometry or do I just need to have the stock drilled and just use the flat portion of the fore end?
Have the stock milled flat. Super easy for a guy with a Bridgeport. You can free-hand with a Dremel tool. I use that little sucker moree often than not.
This is perfectly timed. I’m fixing up my sons gun and he has a Rugar M77 7 rem mag. He loves the light weight stock but it has no sling stud for bipod or sling. These one of these will be a great add on for his gun.
