A Day Inside The Most Feared And Dangerous Neighborhood In Kenya (solo adventure ) 🇰🇪

Join me ‪@Thealphagenius‬ on a solo adventure inside Kayole . Kayole is generally a low-income, high-density, mixed-use neighborhood located in Nairobi's Eastlands area. It encompasses other smaller neighborhoods such as Sabasaba and Kayole-Soweto. Due to its affordability, Kayole hosts low-income earners, holding a significant percentage of the city's population. The neighborhood exhibits characteristics of a slum; has a mix of storey buildings as well as slum-like structures especially in Kayole-Soweto slum to the south. A significant number of residents in Kayole are unemployed, live in abject poverty. Majority of youths in kayole listen to dancehall music and some of them get inspiration from Jamaican dancehall musician vybz kartel. They even have a neighborhood just within kayole known as portmore. They coined this name, portmore from Jamaica which is a southern city in Jamaica where vybz kartel comes from
In terms of security, Kayole is riddled with criminal gangs, armed and aggravated robberies and theft.
I met a random guy known as maich or rather commonly known as kimbitichwa. He's a member of a famous group in kayole known as jeshi jimbitinga. They have modified the normal sheng which is spoken with majority of nairobians into their own sheng referred to as shembeteng with maich claiming to be the founder. He took me around kayole upto where most people are always afraid to visit. join me

I grew up in kayole patanisho from Congo but am now residing in the US. I still have a scar on my nose from being kicked by a group of gangs called gaza at night while celebrating kcpe results😅❤. I still have Kayolean friends from Thawabu primary. Many good stories to tell and bad experience too.
