I love what you comment in the information box about this corporate holiday, it is so true. You have amazing sewing skills, this looks so complicated for me that it would take me hours to study your tutorial again and again to feel confident enough to start making it!
I have used this pattern over and over since you posted this in 2011. It's still, hands down, my fave teddy pattern and the video is WONDERFUL in it's explanation...because I am the noob you reference in this video, the first time I made this, and even that noob from 2011 could make it, lol. Thank you SO much for this video.
The slits for the seam allowance is such a good idea! Wish I would've seen this before I made my first little bear... It's so terrible I use it as a pin cushion. Lol Good work! Definitely going to try this.
I don't sew, but I watch your videos because I think you are an amazing person. I love what you do with your videos and hope to make use of some of the DIY beauty videos. I wish I could put your hair tutorials to use, but I have really curly, frizzy hair that I can't do much with. I would love to put your sewing videos to use if I sewed, but I'm a plus size girl. Keep it up making your videos and I hope you make more DIY beauty videos.
I first saw this vid a long time ago back when you first posted it. Now I'm 7 months in expecting my first child. I immediately thought of this tutorial because I wanted to make my little girl her first teddy bear. Thank you for posting this and I can't wait to get started on it ^w^
I made a panda a few months ago for an art project (ironically also for valentines day) out of canvas that I later painted. I wish I had seen this earlier! It would have made it do much easier, I had to figure out my own pattern.
IT WAS SO EASY!!!!!! I finished mine lastnight and it looks so cote. Thanks for this video, it was so helpful! I handsew everything and It worked for me! I cant believe it was so simple, for me thye tricky part was cutting off the pieces.. the rest was just fine. Keep posting awesome things!
I remember I would watch her tutorials and dont know what the heck she was talking about, like: center front, seam allowances, what?! but now I'm a fashion design major in my magnet high school, and I really understand ^^ it takes a while and a lot of researching to get what shes saying completely. but its still fun to watch her videos!
Very cute bear...I hope that pattern doesn't have a copywrite since you uploaded it where anyone can download it. (I had a copywrite battle with youTube a while back, so it's on my mind).
x] Between this and the ribbon hearts you showed us how to make last time, I'm totally going to make sure everyone close to me get's something made with love x]
wohhh. hahaha that was really cool! I wonder how difficult it is to make ur own stuffed animal creation, I think these basics would help a lot to understanding how it works! Thank you so much!
oh my goodness thank you SO much for this! I've been trying to find a good pattern for a sitting teddy bear for ages this was super helpful, thanks a ton!!!!
You're so talented! You make me wanna sew too. ;) Anyways, super cute photos you have posted on your blog with the Teddy Bear. I love your new hairstyle! Suits you very well! Thanks for making such great videos!
YAY, A DIY ON HOW TO MAKE A TEDDY BEAR. I've always wanted to own a big teddy bear I can cuddle with but I don't want to spend $50.00 buying myself one because I'm forever alone. Still though, this tutorial was a bit confusing, especially since I have low experience of sewing. I liked it when you used photoshop diagrams to do tutorials, but I'll try. Thanks. :D
Great Job KL!!! I love how your tapestry Teddy turned out! Great tut sweety!! It isn't that it's hard to sew, it's just a lot of steps that's all:) And yeah, there so expensive in the stores! Great work! oxoxo Tany:)
Aww that' tutorial is absolutely great. I love your videos and I always wanted to do a teddy bear, now you gave me confidence to try it! Thank you very much!
wow that is a very cute teddy bear. I wish i could make that but it looks so complicated and i dont have a sewing maching. Can u make other things that are only hand sewn?
To sew the head and the body together you have to flip the body inside out and the head....its a little difficult but you line the center seams of the head to the center seams of the body.the head will be upside down but make sure the muzzle is facing the front and the center seam on the back of the head is facing toward the opening you made in the back.then sew all around and flip everything inside out.took me a while to figure out
I remember when this pattern was online. I downloaded it the year that this video was uploaded. I no longer have access to that pattern since I no longer have that computer.
What level of a sewer do you recommend this for? I don't really sew. Just tiny seams and stuff to fix something, but I think I understand what you're talking about in most parts here (or until I try it for myself haha!).
I think it is little hard for me to follow bc i'm still a beginner. Anyway, thank you so much for your videos. I always enjoy your videos! Are you enjoying this crazy TX weather lately? I've lived in TX all my life and this is my first time experiencing this kind of crazy weather.... lol anyway, thanks a lot!! =)
hello! trying to make a couple of bears as gifts for my family from clothing of a loved one that passed away. I am having difficulty with the current pattern and would like to use yours but can't find it. Can you please send me the link? Thank you!
I made this bear, but the putting on the head was a little difficult to understand. Maybe make it a little more clear if you do another stuffed animal. Thanks for the idea! :D
i think it'd be a lot cuter if the head was a little bit smaller and the body a little bit chubbier. other than that, i really like the fabric you chose, so vintage :D
if i was an expert sewer (havent tried) and if i had a lot of time (which i dont =P) i would totally want to do this... thanks so much for the video nonetheless. You are sooo talented!! =D
I see that on the internet page is a pattern of an under and an upper arm! should I have to sew a under arm piece and an upper arm piece right sides together?
this is awesome, but one request. Would it be possible for you to show yourself actually sewing part of the project? You know, for us visual learners? I understand if you can't probably means more work for you, but it would make more sense to me if I could see it.
i need your help T-T. my birthday is comming up next month and im wanting to get a sewing machine so i can learn to sew. what sewing machine would u suggest?
do you think i can just draw the pattern ? cause i want to make a smaller one and make the legs a bit longer ... hehehe.. do u think that would be fine ? or should i measure everything ? thank you :)
now i am sooooooo gonna force my mum to get me a sewing machine! no wait, dad is easier to persuade heheheee :D thank you for the step-by-step tutorial! ^____^ it means alot to me! :hughug:
i think it would have been easier for others to understand if you used the two or more different colors. Well, just a thought. hehe Anyway, I always appreciate your tutorials!! Thank you so much!! ^.^

This is the prettiest teddy bear I've ever seen!
I never end up doing these little projects, but they're so fun to watch!!
The slits for the seam allowance is such a good idea! Wish I would've seen this before I made my first little bear... It's so terrible I use it as a pin cushion. Lol
Good work! Definitely going to try this.

does the templates already include the seam allowance? or u have to add them yourself?
@mpiskotaki23 she suggested buttons in her video. ^^ I think she just likes using puffy paint better. She references it often in her videos.

gosh who knew making a teddy bear was so complicated!
