Thank you for posting such a fantastic tutorial! In a cyberspace overflowing with DIY "tutorials", yours is a BIG step up - the instructions, images, and helpful tips are ridiculously clear and easy to follow; your awesome attitude - and dancing ability - are like whipped cream and cherries! And that's super-rewarding for me as a beginning sewer (LOVING IT! - I feel like a ROCKSTAR when people say "Wow that shirt/skirt/dress/etc. looks like it was made for you!") Keep it up!
@missyzee22 the reason why some bandeau won't stay is because the standard size sometimes can be too large... with this you can make it so that it is tighter and will stay.
You can buy little insert things from most crafting stores.. And I would recomend puting them in, tring it on and moving them to where you want, pin them, and then hand stitch them in but only on the inside so you dont see the stitching on the outside! :) Hope that helps! :)
@silverbracelet6 tension of 4 or higher and if it's a straight stitch you must have elastic thread in the bobbin. Some people just zigzag stitch it's easier u see it alot on bras, swim, and panties.
I've always wondered where one can get those pretty elastics. Thanks! And...I've also wondered how you can make paddings as well. It'd be awesome if you can show us how to do so!
i love all your tutorials! (: if i was going to make a bandeau bra i would have just grabbed a long piece of fabric and sewed the ends together....now i know a much more legit way to do it (:
haha white cheeks. every time i hear that song it reminds me of that movie. you're too cute. nice diy. i will have to try this out sometime. i love each and every diy vids that you make. you are awesome! keep it up and coming.
This, also a lot of crafters already have the majority of the stuff needed to make this. You can make a sizeable seem for the elastic if you don't want to fork up the dough for the soft pretty type.
Where did you get your weights from? and omg thank goodness another fashion girl I can see tutorials from lol.....are you going to school or something? Just asking because of the pattern paper
I have been watching you for a while now and I remember you had a whole bunch of really awesome sewing tuts that you deleted and said you would remake. Like I remember a really cool belt and some t-shirt re-cons and I also remember a Halloween costume that used playing cards. Are you ever going to re-film them?? Because I really hope you do!
i love this video it makes me happy and i love this bandeau for me its hard to get the perfect size normailly they fell to stretchy but wen i made this it was perfect!
@Chaucer129 LOL u will take back the dancing comment when you're at the club with me. I literally make a circle not because of my skills but my noodle arms violently swinging everywhere LOL.
I messed up my first attempt, too!! I'm having a hard time sewing and cutting the stretchy fabric straight. Mine didn't come out wide enough...sigh.. I got the fabric, so I'll make some more..
heyy, i really like ur purple lacey bandeau in the beginning >//< and was wondering how many piece of lace fabrics and stretchy purple fabrics did u use. purple is one of my favorite colors that's why :)
how much would we minus if we are around cup C or D and where can you find the pad to stuff into the bandeau? Also, beside lining could you use like an old shirt or something and if you can what material is best?
And sometimes you can't buy the colour, pattern, material or whatever that you want. So you also have to make it your own. (: Apart from this it's nice to know that you're the only one out there with this exact piece of clothing. :D
I can't tell which way you are pinning and sewing the fabric. Is the fabric right sides together when you stitch the sides seams? What about the third layer? Slightly confusing because the lace you are using looks the same on right and wrong sides so I can't figure it out.
@dweelieghanne when she says point A, she means measure around your whole body, not just across the front. Same with point B. So for instance, if it was 30 at point A, you would divide by 2 and subtract 1.5, your end result being 13.5 inches across point A on the pattern. I'm assuming you're subtracting 1.5 so that it will be snug enough to stay on your body. Hope that helps!
I probably went through 30+ comments flagging them as spam and only saw four that were real comments from real people. TH-cam wat r u doin stahhhhpppp On a lighter note...great video, as always! :)
I totally messed this up, haha! First one came out way too small. The second one was big enough, just a mess though. I really need to get that lingerie elastic. It would work so much better than the others. Not to mention you've got a serger. I bet that's nice!!! I'll be saving up for one, one of these days!
@secretlifeofabionerd do you think that this would work for really busty ladies? Maybe sometime you could teach us how to sew underwire into it or something for more support. I love the idea though- very well done tutorial as usual!
@ilovepurplemonkeys12 hehe I thought about it, and then my other voice said " dude who the heck are you to have people come and meet you" so that idea got shot down really fast LOL
Question! I have a lot of dresses from Forever 21..and the zippers all seem to break so I can only wear the dress 2-3 times...On one of the dresses the zipper gets stuck half way up, its too cute to throw away, do you have any suggestions? will clasps work if i just sew it on or would it look silly?
hi i love your videos...well im thinking about a buying a sewing machine but im not sure which one is good...i would like to get your opinion in this to help me purchase my first sewing machine.
@chizzabeth I will talk about fabric in the future..but I don't like to put down how much you need because it can be wrong since I am built differently from everyone. Doing that is risking you guys ordering too little or two much. I will teach you guys how to buy enough fabric..but the rule is if you are a size 6, 8,10 u should be 3 yrds of 45" or 2.4 yrds of 60" just for a top. Sometimes that rule fits for a short dress too.

@missyzee22 the reason why some bandeau won't stay is because the standard size sometimes can be too large... with this you can make it so that it is tighter and will stay.

I can't sew for my life but your vids are so entertaining :D
You can buy little insert things from most crafting stores.. And I would recomend puting them in, tring it on and moving them to where you want, pin them, and then hand stitch them in but only on the inside so you dont see the stitching on the outside! :) Hope that helps! :)

I've always wondered where one can get those pretty elastics. Thanks!
And...I've also wondered how you can make paddings as well. It'd be awesome if you can show us how to do so!
These bras must be really popular for summer. I've seen them in Amer eagle and a few other stores.
@haaylley haha thought about it..but it's too many websites to maintain ya know?
i love all your tutorials!

If you did, can you make a tutorial on it ? :)
heyy, i really like ur purple lacey bandeau in the beginning >//< and was wondering how many piece of lace fabrics and stretchy purple fabrics did u use. purple is one of my favorite colors that's why :)
you should do a diy video on those cute little layered lace shorts you had on toward the end of the video:) they were cute too:)
how much would we minus if we are around cup C or D and where can you find the pad to stuff into the bandeau? Also, beside lining could you use like an old shirt or something and if you can what material is best?
look up breast migration.
And sometimes you can't buy the colour, pattern, material or whatever that you want. So you also have to make it your own. (: Apart from this it's nice to know that you're the only one out there with this exact piece of clothing. :D

houston IS hot!!!!!!!!! btw where did u get the paper from? whet type is it?
2ne1 AND Junior Senior? Girl, you have great taste in music.
I can't tell which way you are pinning and sewing the fabric. Is the fabric right sides together when you stitch the sides seams? What about the third layer? Slightly confusing because the lace you are using looks the same on right and wrong sides so I can't figure it out.
You are just so cute and so talented. I love watching your videos!
omg!! tutorial for that lace pink skirt? i've been looking for something like that for ages!!
Woah I really wanted to make that but couldn't find a diyb on TH-cam thanks!
You lost me a bit at the elastic part but I want to try this! =D It's super hot where I live too and those are so cute!
Where does the name of this bra came from? I've had never heard of it before. It looks super comfy and cute.
that dancing should be your intro!! thumbs up if you agree!!!
Hope that helps!
omg! can you please share where you got your ruffle shorts?!? they are soooo cute and i want some :3

On a lighter note...great video, as always! :)
I live about 2.5 hours NW of Houston, I know exactly what you mean when you talk about gross humidity!
I always watch your videos, and i dont even know how to sew or even have a sewing machine lol
lol the intro was super cute!
holy crap, when i saw your family photo, it reminded me of mine...O_O...same blue background, similar sweaters, same pose....lol

Loved the dancing! I wasn't expecting that :) hehe
I didnt know you had your belly button pierced! Wow. You learn something new everyday
By the way, awsome tutorial!! I'll try ir this week!
@rosegold27 Elastic fabric...you have to use less than you need otherwise it will sag...same with B)
Where the eff can I get those amazing glasses? Or one's like them? Soo.. Cutee... *drools
I totally messed this up, haha! First one came out way too small. The second one was big enough, just a mess though. I really need to get that lingerie elastic. It would work so much better than the others. Not to mention you've got a serger. I bet that's nice!!! I'll be saving up for one, one of these days!
i like the intro, you're so cuteee!
@RaeLynnShikure no, because the pattern was *half* of the circumference of A and B, so the elastic would be the entire thing.
@secretlifeofabionerd do you think that this would work for really busty ladies? Maybe sometime you could teach us how to sew underwire into it or something for more support. I love the idea though- very well done tutorial as usual!
@ilovepurplemonkeys12 hehe I thought about it, and then my other voice said " dude who the heck are you to have people come and meet you" so that idea got shot down really fast LOL
what you wrote in the down bar made me laugh! haha
Did you make those ruffled shorts?!? Please answer, and if so, can you do a tutorial on them, please?

it looks like it was very easy!!! but I would like to see a t-shirt !!
Hey! :) I was wondering what video editor you use? It would be really helpful to me! Thanks! :)
I loved that pink cut tank top
the intro made my day
Question! Omg this is so neat my mom won't buy me one!:) haha great video!:)
