Took me a week to get over the pang of sadness that hit me after reading The Kite Runner. A Thousand Splendid Suns had an even harder impact on me, relating to it as a woman. I don't know if I'll ever get over this one. I started reading And the Mountains Echoed( Khaled Hosseini's book).. I couldn't go on after a point. This man works your eyes and heart a lot through his words..all his works- tragic masterpieces.

This book was indeed traumatic from beginning...
About Mariam facing criticism from her mom...
And then after reading the middle part of Laila and Tariq getting separated and laila facing the bomb blast. I literally cried for a whole day...
The way Rashid tortures Mariam and laila.
The trauma of Mariam not able to conceive a child .
And then eventually Mariam and laila becoming very good companion...
I was satisfied by the end
But the middle part of the book was literally traumatic 😭😭😭...
Worthy reading as u said could relate as a girl
I haven't read the kite runner till now 😢

Literally cried for a whole day after reading the part where laila and Tariq gets separated and lailas family meeting the blast.
Both Mariam and laila were strong ...
      It's so tragic and traumatic
      Especially the trauma a Mariam..
A person who was never loved
Atleast laila found love through her parents and Tariq.
But the epsiode of Mariam and Aziza was heartwarming
And then last part of Mariam dieing also made me cry 😭😭😭

I have read this book. The two girls Mariyam Jo and Laila Jo are epic. The end was beautiful amid the turmoils faced by them. This book tells how the country is being destroyed by various rulers to capture their power and status. The worst affected people during the power change are women. One think about Khaled Hosseini is that he felt the life of women before writing this book, I think so. In the male dominant society, here is a man who understands the real pain of the women or girls in his country..Hats off. "Like a compass needle that points north, a man's accusing finger always finds a woman. Always." Epic quote This one line is enough to describe the women in a male dominant society.

Each and ever line of this book was so heart touching and so meaningful.....
      The lines like
"Like an art lover running from a burning museum...
" Time is the most unforgiving of fires, she couldn't in the end save it all"
These lines really touched me deeply

This book has brought out my underlying anger, sadness etc. It has changed my life. I read this book just 5 years ago. It was a key to unlock my potential as a strong women. I felt grateful about many luxuries in life when compared to Mariam character in this book. Strongly recommend this book those who want to tap their intrinsic motivation to reach their highest potential.

@@artistry._.4319 India is female centric society only from birth bcz patriarchy was initially it was female centric In middle it changed its root .Female are valued more so they are protected and men are only send to war to die and all hazardous jobs from past .From past man are only punished very very harder through kings like now also .This is the truth .And patriarchy is by product of it through out the world .Than On sake this is natural evolution theory .a man is enough to make those species or tribe communities or those kingdom to Flourish but female quantity is in need high .So only on fear of female being murdered and robbed they protected female under certain rules and always lower and middle man are considered as disposable while privileged ones are zamindar and those kings ..than that protect and valuing women more which by years passed changed in to patriarchy taken away womens freedom and man try to get upper hand because of no proper education they blinded followed ancestors..So at any time this society is female central society only. Now feminism came and got those freedom for women (dont bring Not yet you know if u r commenting here you had got) but those feminism is basic only speaking about womens rights its capitalism propaganda to increase consumer so it didnt taked about innocent men who are unprivileged poor ,middle class. Those men are the real sufferers in this society than so called women or even transgender .All one sided evil laws are made against them and those innocent mans are framed blackmailed and their life is ruined. Female centrical society is called-Gynocentrical society ..Dont take rpe statistics we can discuss about fake rpe statistics and Male rpe you will be shocked any crime is gender neutral but this gynocentrical society Silences and shames the voice of innocent men's .while 88 percentage of henious crimes are done to men.India is biggest gynocentrical evil country.

Just show your interest towards book reading then automatically you will give time for reading.

Hi i have one doubt... How many day you taking time to read one book... You reading that continuously or how... How you are remembering all detail in your mind.. Why because when I read book which part I attract or some new thoughts finds my mind that only I can remember that too very few hrs only.. Other that are i cant fully remember... Even that my favorite book also I forgot author name... So tell me... You spending whole day to ready book
