I just replaced one. I took the five screws out of the one arm and managed to to wedge the arm open and get the motor and shaft assembly out without breaking the arm. I clipped the wires on the old and new motors, soldered them, put on a bit of electrical tape, and it's running. Clipping the wires I always cut one about an inch longer than the other to eliminate the possibility of them shorting out. Great video. If I'd realized it was so easy to take it completely apart I would have done it. Next time, I'm sure there will be a next time, I will.
I had the same exact problem after flying mine twice for about five mins each time. Got my replacement motors and gonna replace them today and hope this problem doesn't continue. Thanks for the video gave me a heads up on how to remove everything.
How did the gears look? One of my motors doesn't sound great, after a few crashes as I'm learning to fly. It sounds and feels more like the gear is missing teeth. Great video, straightforward and the right level of detail.
It's been a long time but it was on ebay. The seller I got it from no longer has them but if you search for holystone 110d motor replacement, should find some.
Not everyone has an extra $100 laying around. And it becomes expensive when you have to repair them several times. Sounds like you're experienced with this. What make/model drones do you fly? Are they super durable or are you just realy experienced in flying drones?

The metal casing, pried at the little tabs on the bottom of the cylinder.
