No stress doing a minimalist journal when you have a handwriting like that, it'll look beautiful no matter what.

Toffnm I'm not sure if you do any stamping, but you can get calligraphy letter stamps that you can use.

Toffnm I don't think this is very minimal at all. Have you seen Ryder's video explaining bullet journaling as it was originally done? There really shouldn't be stress in it. It's a productivity tool. It's supposed to reduce stress.

You mean your handwriting isn’t like that? Thought everyone could write like that!

I really liked seeing all the stuff that you found didn't work for you - good reminder that not every style works for everyone. I know I had to scale mine waaaaay back when I started bullet journalling - the fancy spreads were too much structure for me.

I love minimalist bullet journals. I watched video's of regular ones and I get claustrofobic just by looking at those video's, some people keep track of every single thing, it's only time- and energy consuming to keep track of those useless things. The one in this video is muuuuuuch better. It's not overwhelming by the shitload of text you have in the regular ones. I love this one! Simple, fast, you have a clear overview. Thank you for giving me ideas!

with the gratitude log - i keep one but dont put in the dates ahead of time, no pressure to write in it everyday - only when you feel like it, or when you have that "wow, im so glad that..." moments ... and once that page is full start another

    • @ultravioletpisces3666

I feel like that would be so much more meaningful when you review it and Terry to use it to raise your vibration. Because you have feeling behind it instead of obligation to think of something to be grateful for.

i do like watching all the nice colourful bullet journals but i find them so time consuming and the original bullet journal was a way of keeping all event/thoughts/etc together and being easy and simple and i feel that when i first started out i was more focused on how it look and it was just so stressful that i didn't enjoy it . But now mine is simple and easy to use and it doesn't take me a whole sunday night to write it all out . I've customised it to myself but stuff with Ryders version more than the intricate ones we see now . Im not saying i don't like the other version i just personally do not have the time to do it otherwise i probably would haha as they're so pretty

Same, I've been thinking about starting one and all the fancy ones make it seem so intimidating and like a big time sink. Some of them aren't even really bullet journals anymore, which is fine, but it kinda defeats the purpose

CharliMarieTV: Oops incorrect word, jealous. Envy vs Jealousy: Envy is the emotion of coveting what someone else can do, is doing, what they own, their capability, and the like. Jealousy is the emotion related to fear of something you have will be taken away by someone else as in the saying “the green eyes of jealousy “. Using the correct word does make a difference.

I've been wanting to start a bullet journal for a while but all the videos and pinterest boards I see are mostly filled with the really decorated pages and I got intimidated and overwhelmed by them. However, yours really settled my mind that it is really simple and to really try out what works so thank you so much for this!

Hey! Thanks for this video! You were the first person I heard (after watching a whole bunch of videos) who acknowledged the fact that you just did trial and error to figure out what worked for you and what not. Very useful! A lot of other vloggers present their journal as if they just found this holy grail of working right of the bat. So thanks! O, and I love your accent ;)

I think this was the most useful bullet journaling video I've ever seen! I want to get into doing a BuJo but never had the courage to do it since I have tried many diaries before and quit within weeks or a month so you might have just helped me get into this practice! I love how clean you are and that you aren't afraid to experiment (I am, a little too much for my liking). I do wish you'd elaborate some more on the level 10 things you showed us and maybe do some 10-minute challenge on creating the templates and stuff (helps people like me to convince themselves to try and do it myself).

Thanks. Neat. Some of the journals I have seen in other videos go completely against the original idea. Basicaly it's procristination under cover of organization. I like that you try to keep it simple and sometimes have a little pleasure of decorating it. The original idea for the bullet journal is to be simple, and easy to keep up with. Thank you for your video, I like your accent.

Wished I saw your video 2 weeks ago. It would have save me some good money. Lol because yeah Im shippin from very far away so I wanted to buy it all at once..and God..I did. And when I started doodling -training before my stuffs reach me- I realized that those pretty ones are time consuming.. as much as I loved it, I dont wanna spend a full hour during the week just laying out a spread. It is supposed to help being productive and not be overwhelming or chore-felt. Really nice BuJo..looks great and lovely. Life is simple.

Thank you so much for your fantastic and straight forward video. I have been sitting here for hours watching BJ videos which often turned out to be about everything except Bullet Journalling it was so good to come across yours. Your no frills attitude to Bullet Journaling was like a breath of fresh air and you have made it so much easier for me , I stopped worrying and now I can get my act together in the morning (it is almost 12.30 here so off to bed very soon) . Your advice is fantastic your honesty about what did not work for you was so helpful. I could go on and on but I can honestly advise anyone starting up for the first time to look at your video and not waste lots of time. I can honestly say I have been worrying about it for months and here it is New Years Eve and all Have done is my year at a glance which I now think may have been a waste of time, it seems to me I will be doubling up on some things but I guess I will learn that as I go and after listening to you I will hopefully save myself a lot of time and worry thank you so much and I will be following you. Happy New Year yours sincerely Isabel.

Although I'm thinking about a floral theme as well... maybe black and white line drawings of botanical things???

Thank you for this very helpful video. I'm just getting started with my bullet journal. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, stationery junkie, paper crafter, and over-thinker. I'm hoping the bullet journal style will help me learn to "just turn the page" and move on. I've already made one mistake in my journal (only got about 3 pages done before I got mired down in all the options) which is kind of liberating - like the first scratch on your new car. There, it's done, it's can't be perfect anymore, deal with it. You've given me the courage to go ahead and start, then adapt as necessary.
Can't help but recommend for your reading challenge Michael Dirda for a book on books or reading. His "Classics for Pleasure" is wonderful.

Your calligraphy/lettering is absolutely beautiful!! That's something I struggle with a lot in my journal. I write fairly small and can't make bolder pens or larger writing work well.
Thank you so much for this video :D I've been looking for minimalist inspiration! xx

Absolutely love your honesty, I've been trying to do an Erin Condren diary and found it's not working for me so Thankyou for showing your journey and what worked vs didn't work for you
