Funny story When I was little (5-7 years) I used to love oshawott. I never saw it in the anime or played gen 5. I liked it because my clothes were from osh-kosh, and they sounded similar
One time my cousin had a level 100 Oshawott (which is already questionable, like why didn't he evolve it) and I had never played Pokémon before but somehow I managed to take the Oshawott to the nickname rater and name it Billy and from that moment on since you can't change the nicknames once you've given them, my cousin was stuck with a level 100 Oshawott named Billy which is really hilarious now that I think about it.

I think Typhlosion is neat for the fact that it’s based off a badger and if you grab a badger by the back of the neck it can turn itself around and attack you, which this part of its neck you don’t want to grab is the same area Typhlosion’s flames erupt from

Can't blame him, all the grass type starter lines are gorgeous except for Rillaboom. By comparison the fire starters tend to be samey with so many bipeds and frequently fighting type as secondary typing. Water has a lot of variance, I can't make a general statement about it, so naturally its gonna be evenly distributed.
You have done a grave injustice to many pokemon, but at least you are one of the few people to realize the how cute Chikorita is even in it's final evolution. It may not be edgy like Incineroar, it may not be cool like Garchomp, it may not be a sweeper like Zacian, but it's cute and and that's enough for any pokemon to be likeable.
Emboar is the Ganon of the Pokemon world and I love him. Helps that Tepig was my first ever starter period. Also Cyndaquil is the best Johto starter, they deserve to be in the "Cute :)" tier at the very least.
While I dont think Inteleon is the best looking pokemon. I always appreciate when a pokemon has a unique style that no other pokemon has. I also think Chesnaught sorta fits that but sorta wish he was steel instead of fight.
Fennekin's line is one of my favorite lines in all of pokemon. Fire is my favorite type, foxes are my favorite animal, has the easiest time against the gym leaders, and the whole DnD class thing just seems like such a badass concept. Plus, Delphox easily has THE BEST shiny! The only reason why it's not in my top 10 is due to 1. everyone always hating it and make me feel ashamed if i say i love it, and 2. i started in gen 3 so i dont have any amazing and nostalgic memories with it as i do Blaziken or Venusaur. it's a shame how low people rank it :(
I’ve enjoyed so much coney content but this is the most upset I’ve ever been with a tier list and all of my favorite Pokémon have been disrespected, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, Turtwig, Snivy and then he’s got gen 1 bias, I’m so upset right now I need therapy
For starters it makes sense why you’d love gen 1 but in every other facet it’s bad. That’s not me hating or anything it was just the first game. I really do believe if they made some of those pokemon today everybody would hate on them because gas clouds, sludge waves, eggs, big tongue dudes, and rocks with arm are just stupid ideas made to fill the dex to 151. And those were just the first 5 designs that popped into my head.
Goo Fy Gameplay wise I'd agree but I can't really call any Gen 1 Pokémon actually bad, even the ones listed are pretty cool, I do kinda see the point of those that prefer the older designs because newer ones are a lot less simple, and sometimes you prefer the simple stuff, I love Pokemon like Bulbasaur and Vileplume for that reason despite starting with Gen 4 and having that be my favourite Gen. Granted I'm one of those guys that dislikes very few Pokemon in general.

@@Oshawatt Nostalgia does that, although there’s merits to both designs, take Muk compared to Garbodour, Muk is very simple yet iconic, with its one big arm and sludgy mouth making it stand out more, whereas Garbodour is way more designed, the trash bag from Trubbish has split and the rubbish has come out, the two symmetrical hands have become longer and unsymmetrical, one being a full on hand while the other is smaller and works as a way that it can launch attacks. If you ask what design more fits a trash monster then Garbodour definitely does more but so does Muk but less so however it looks more pleasing to the eye comparatively. It’s up to preference what is more liked.
