@@janetgreenslade9281 Wouldn't trade my jailbroken ps4 for an xbox, ever. I've installed tons os PC Fallout 4 mods on my PS4, such as Cheat Terminal, even custom guns. Modded Warfare did a tutorial if your interested.

Id take a higher framerate over better graphics any day.. the FPS affects whether or not the game is playable for me. Skyrim on the PS4 Pro is a perfect example, it might look nicer in screenshots but the FPS is balls.. luckily Fallout 4 doesn't have the same issue.

@@henningcarlsson5708 base game with all DLC's and no free mods or 'paid mods'(thats what they are.) from creation club id say it works fine mostly, can still have some minor frame drops in built up settlements if you go a bit OTT, and sometimes frames will drop in busier areas like Boston. I''ve actually had the game have errors a few times. But I personally haven't played without mods in a long time because I prefer survival play through so I play with a few mods in conjunction for a better survival experience, because the fact you can't save without sleeping is kind of gash if you end up losing all your progress to a crash, so I suggest getting mods for portable beds and just saving as frequent as possible just in case. Fallout 4 on PS4 Pro is leaps and bounds ahead of Skyrim in terms of performance though, if you've played that.

I tried combining the SimpleGreens, SimpleFall, SimpleYellow and Commonwealth Flora Overhaul, it kept crashing everytime I try to start the Far Harbor quests so I deleted the mods except for the SimpleGreens.

@@brentmullins6212 Bug within the game right now that Bethesda has to fix I took a week break and still hasn't been fixed I believe it's because their trying to bring out the ps5 enhanced version but 3 years later? Might just focus on Skyrim since they have a handful of staff of people working on both game platforms plus managing fallout 76 on the constant not much hope and yea I can't get no more than 3 or 5 mods and so many have been taken away like "fast enter/exit power armor" mod is gone and I cannot get "UCO" mods to properly work.
Recommend performance mod: Insignificant object remover.

Just got a ps5 so no frame drops anymore. So now I can add in all the mods I want and not have to worry. It's great being able to actually walk around the Boston area now lol
I’ve had one for a while but I switched fallout to my exbox for more variety of mods but now I wanna see how far I can push the ps5 with the limited options available

The PS5 does allow you to add more mods without lag or too much lag but there is a limit.

That’s not even the worst part. The game is clearly not optimised for the console, constant lag drops, glitches, crashes.

Also I'm not sure which mod it was but it was either the lighting ballistics mod or fire lighting mod that was giving major stuttering inside Robco Sales & Service Center. I mean it was unplayable bad & I'm someone who doesn't pay attention to frame rate but 1 frame per second was like playing New Vegas on the PS3 all over again.
I'm having issues with one of the lighting mods, may be the same issue. I think the fire mod is conflicting with the interior lighting mod... maybe. Started a new game and the Concord Museum is atrocious. The lighting looked great at first, then I noticed while stepping in and facing certain areas the frames would PLUMMET and significant visual glitching: I could see dynamic light being cast that I SHOULDN"T see, ghosting through the entire map in a displeasing flickery fashion (if that makes sense.)
I don't know if this is due to the new bethesda update for me but it sure is frustrating. The new interior lighting looks great when it works.
I couldn't install Enhanced Lights and FX because I don't have Automatron and Far Harbor and the mod requires them.

The 1st person animation tweaks mod just makes so much sense, it blows my mind that it wasn’t part of the actually game.....I guess, cuz Bethesda.
Enhanced lights and FX is notorious for dropping frames. Good alternatives such as Phylight/Phydark or Interior Visual Overhaul work nicely. Both of which can also be used together to get nice results.
Yes, dont get me wrong enhanced lights and fx is beautiful but the fps/crashes is brutal
OK I'm not the only one, it dropped mine down to like 10 fps every time i went into an interior cell.
This makes the game look better, but makes your PlayStation sound like a fucking Mr Gutsy Overheating.
You need to get a job at a restaurant, work your way up until you're trusted with cashing up & locking up at night, then move your whole setup into the walk-in fridge at night.
i love mods, but that god damn 0KB bug is so annoying i barely even play it anymore. i do have 486 hours tho so, no time wasted lol
Just remember not to use CC content with mods on the PS4 unless you want that annoying 0kb Save Error.

The simple green mod is great but the bad thing about is that the simple green grass covers the freedom trail so I recommend you download it after the railroad quest.
You don’t even need to do the railroad freedom trail quest, I never even knew there was a quest, just walk straight to the church and put in the password, I’ve done it every play through.

I mean, The D.C Glory caused little bit of FPS issuee but the Pyrdwen overhaul was so laggy that the convo took so long during Shadow of Steel, Battle of Bunker Hill, Liberty Reprimed and Blind Betrayal quest (Blind Betrayal was worse because of the FPS)
Anyone else wish someone would make a Wolverine mod for the PS4 version of Fallout 4? That includes Wolverine's powers, Wolverine's claws, and Wolverine hairstyle and facial hair options.

Right. I don't care if my £220 2nd hand PS4 Pro drops frames here & there. If I had spent £1k or more on a PC though I'd be less happy.
For grass and trees, I use “nuclear autumn”(ps4 exclusive) and all simple season mods besides the winter one. I also use “commonwealth flora overhaul, which adds a lot of pine trees in the world.I do this to make the environment look like the fallout 76 environment.

A mod I suggest not using is any kind of flickering light mods, I tested this numerous times on PS4 and found it was causing alot of conflicts with other mods

@@Nathlaaar yeah you said that in your video too, but I still find that hard to believe, I mean they claimed that nothing would be able to survive in Chernobyl for like another 1000 years, anything within 6 miles of the place dies of rad poisoning, and in the case of Fallout the game the amount of radiation that could mutate a person into a ghoul would have certainly damaged the plant life enough to "salt the earth" as it were and never grow again.Hell I am surprised that Bethesda didn't program living carnivorous plants into the game to be honest. but even if your point is true, it still feels like the mod ruins the intended feeling of desolation and bleakness of the overall game. not a critic just an opinion.

Your videos have been helpful, I’ve never used mods on PS4 as there didn’t seem as many options compared to PC. I’m still looking for mods that help with difficulty (tougher enemies etc without getting one shot straight out of the vault) but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen in your videos so far 👍
Hey Nathlaar, first and foremost, just wanted to say I'm a fan and appreciate you making these vids for us PS4 users. Not many people are making FO4 vids about the PS4, so it's greatly appreciated! I was just wondering if you get the "0 kb" bug issue at all, considering the amount of modding you do to your game. Also, do you use a lot of CC content, or are you mainly just using free mods?
If you don't get the bug often, is there something that you do that helps you prevent it from happening? From the experiences I've had (over the past few months, I've had this bug happen at least 20 times now), I'm almost certain the bug is caused by Creation Club mods, which is insane, since these are mods being sold by Bethesda (and can't be disabled without deleting the game and re-downloading it). I'm preaching to the choir though, I'm sure.
Anyways, thanks again for your hard work! If there are any tips you can give for preventing the "0 kb" bug, please let us know! I'm sure I'm not the only PS4 player that has come across this game-breaking bug. ✌️
Chris L. The glitch is caused by CC content, usually when it is used with actual mods. I removed all creation club content on my game (which means uninstalling it and reinstalling it on PS4) and that fixed it
@@mattoneill695 I know it's caused by CC content, but I was more asking for specifics on particular mods, and ways of preventing the issue. I've been through the "uninstall game/reinstall game/reinstall cc content and mods" cycle about 20 to 30 times now, so, believe me, I know it's the CC stuff.
Anyways, I appreciate your trying to help. If u know any of the mods (CC or otherwise) that cause the bug, please let me know. I know there are a few that definitely cause it, one being the "pink hot rod" armor from CC. I'm pretty sure the "pint sized slasher" causes it, too, possibly in conjunction with another mod.
I think adding the CC mods one at a time (and clearing cache, restarting PS4, and then waiting at least 30 mins before installing another one) helps a lot, but I usually end up saying "eff it" after 10 or so mods and start doing them 2 or 3 at a time, which inevitably leads to the stupid bug.
Man, I wish I didn't like the game so much, because it is by far the most frustrating game I have ever played. The worst part is that the bugs are caused by content I'm PAYING for! It's just ridiculous.
I found that the 0kB issue was caused only due to the weapons skins on the CC content. I got rid of them and never had a problem afterwards

Honestly I prefer these to a long shot to Xbox one mods, they look way better imo and slow your game down way less compared to Xbox ones take a huge chunk and Xbox fallout is horribly choppy by default

I used the bleak mod along with the simple seasons white mod to well make a pretty rough looking winter it worked great but visibility is pretty s@$& at times though so it kinda adds a new challenge for survival.
You should do a video about the most realistic mods for fallout 4 and Skyrim on ps4

Why is there so much fog in my game
The only thing that annoy me of fallout games are how organge, yellow, red brown and dead the plant life looks. Im sure some green would exist in plants after nuke.
I did all these mods and couple others and tbh... It looks like Fallout 76 but better lmao and its surprising how a ps4 can handle this so now I'm just waiting since I'm pouring water on my ps4 cause how hot it is but besides that pretty noice
