I got a mint one in my moto bar with both oem tires still have knobbies. . Got my eye on another that I want to restore and race. I want to do it as the dg replica.. will take me years to gather all the parts I can find. I already know where there is a head and swing arm for 1200$
@@hondaxl250k0 I think I'm going to sell my 1979 Elsinore 125. I have a different project I'm working on and want the money for that. I'm going to put it on Craigslist in Portland
I had the 74, 75, 78 and 79. The 79 had a lot more bottom end, minimum midrange and top end was good like all the others if you knew how to ride Elsinores. You had to get the rpms up.
Spent alot of time on my freinds 79 cr125 with the huge front wheel. Rode some hard pack strip mines with it. I really liked the bike lol. I was probably around 110lbs back then though, and seemed like all 2 strokes were an on/off switch back then. The ol oingo boingo suspension.
Brother in law has one of these rode it a lot boysen reeds helped a lot you had to rev this thing up to get it going were about to get it back running again actually found a Cheng shin 23 knobby tire for it on eBay a few years back.
I have this bike still sitting in my garage to this day. I had it since 1982 when my Father bought it for me.
