    I haven't heard "Seasoning the Barrel" in forever. OMG, thank you. I knew an oldtimer that forgot more about shooting then most people do. He said 10 shots to season and or get the other powder out of the barrel.

    Funny you mentioned about the Olympic stuff. I have 7 boxes of USSR ammo that dates back, and it's no longer available. It fits the chamber noticably tighter than other match ammo. It shoots very very well.

    Nice shooting and love your show! Thank you! Try not to change parallax to correct for focus. First do your focus, then parallax. At least don't shift parallax during a match :) Thank you and you're the best!

    My Lithgow LA 101 22lr prefers Lapua Midas +, closely followed by Elly Match and then CCI Standard. In bench rest at my local range (Hunter class) I have consistently come home with either gold or silver medal. My best score for 5 rounds was 50 (out of 50) with 3 (out of 5) centres. My best overall score was 250 out of 250 with 11 centres out of possible 25. The biggest handicap is the nut behind the butt. Some of my friends also have a Lithgow but their rifle prefers different ammo.

    Freeze framing and comparing your low shots with CZ455 , you have a different cheek weld on the groups. having a solid cheek weld on a riser plate would definitely help

    If you check your headspace you can then test which rim thickness the gun will like. Remember that the cz455 headspaces off the rim and not the bolt. With eley, you have to sort on rim thickness. To achieve the best accuracy, you do now want a deviation of more than +-.0001" on the rim from round to round. You can buy the gauges on amazon for a tad over 50$. It's not the scope, it's the rim...

    You change the parallax on the scope n the point of impact changed !
    Something is not right with the scope
    I think

      That was my very first thought when I saw the first shot hit low . Something going on with the parallax adjustment.

    • @accuracyfreaks442
      @accuracyfreaks442 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Replicated the same thing yesterday to see if that was the issue and it sure did shift my groups up and down by about 1"

    • @davidhandyman7571
      @davidhandyman7571 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you set the parallax, don't be fussy about the clarity. Try moving you head around slightly while holding the scope still. If the reticle moves off target the parallax is not correct. Adjust until moving your head slightly does not move the point of aim.

    The CZ barrel is a Lothar Walther barrel. Walther is a different company. The founder of Lothar Walther, best known for barrel making, was related to the founder of the Walther enterprise, well-known for handguns and target rifles in particular.

    I thought it was scope too until I saw you shoot a group high again with no previous adjustment. Your front rest is not tightened down and moves on recoil. Yes that will cause it.

    I would agree with shooting the Eley next before switching brands. Double check your bedding screw tightness to see if one might be coming loose. I find that makes the groups spread out. I
    am real curious what you find out with the SK Pistol Match. My CZs and Anschutz do well with those. Just had my best ever 50yd group of 0.16 inches with that combination.

    all 3 of my remington 513t match master rifles shoot bugholes at 100yds with remington golden bullets along with other rifles i have in my collection but this ammo should not be used in any semi-auto. A new barrel will take 200+ rds to break in with a standard barrel, a stainless barrel may take twice that many. have you checked your bedding with the new barrel?

      In my original video Michael I talked about my cleaning regimen which does include cleaning the barrel off camera when it is a different brand. Meaning Eley uses the same lube across Eley brands. When changing to Lapua or Remington or even SK the barrels are cleaned. Hey thanks for watching join us on the dayattherange 22 challenge.
