Eh I'm probably not gonna mess with the suspension, a nearby dealership has 5 pretty well equipped ones for 38000€ which seems like a decent deal considering the price hike of the facelifted 2022 model. I like the wheels, I like the color, KW is known to be the best of the best when it comes to suspension setups. I think I'll buy one next month.
Max power at 5500 rpm is why I really don't enjoy modern hot hatches any more. Whatever happened to high-revving screamers? That's where the fun resides. These are so big on mid-range, you may as well use a thumping V8, all torque and noise. So disappointing to those who like an engine that's willing to rev - to at least 7k, preferably 8.
I love the idea but setting up the car from notes in a book is nothing else than using presets on a computerized suspension. The fun really starts when you try to do your own settings. But I wonder; are there any warranty or insurance issues if someone throws the car of the road because of a totally idiotic setting ?
Why would anyone use a ‘’totally idiotic setting’’? Makes no sense to do so. If you don’t want what your doing with the suspension you would use the book
@@andy-yb4ch People do a lot of idiotic stuff on purpose. Just check youtube. But let's face it, not everyone is a setup guru and setting up a suspension the wrong way can lead to unwanted and surprsing effects. I don't know what parameters are changeable but, say, someone puts in odd toe or camber values. That could make a car behave weird. Or can I only adjust springs and dampers in either bound or rebound and/or stiffness ? What I wanted to know mainly was if there is some kind of safeguard. In the end it is the drivers responsibility if something happens.
I'll take the Volvo engine - I took a drive in a Volvo C30 once and it was...interesting, to say the least. And at least it didn't come with the problems associated with high-revving open deck designs and their impact on head gasket longevity. Maybe that explains why max power is at only 5500 rpm? Or was it always that low on these engines?
Suspension adjuster? Looks more like a weapon to us.
