When I saw the derived version of the episode, I didn't realize the fighter's canopy had been shattered in the course of getting out of that big freaking tunnel.
Im from Argentina I saw Robotech in 1987 for the first time them I saw Macross in 2017 by TH-cam. My favorite anime serie, then followed by Saint Seiya (the knights of the zodiac called in hispanic countries)
Si.
I hear in my head, "It's Macross that we hear, but you that I love" implying he got over minmei and a little projection and fuckever thisi s a you tube thread
Me encanta Hikaru y Misa!!!... H&H forever🤗😉
@@TheHeadNinjainComics thanks... I already watch they movie long time ago... I liked more the Hikaru from the movie than the anime... Sorry... My English it's no that well... But thank You
I think Minmay was running out of songs towards the end, because she was singing an antiwar song while aboard a huge battle fortress actively participating in the annihilation of 10s of millions of enemy. I wonder if the irony was lost on her?
This is in a VERY different order than the Americanized version. In that version, Lisa is on Mars very early in the Macross Saga, but they blow up the station near the end of the saga.
The Mars episode is earlier in the season. When Macross approaches Mars, Misa goes to Mars to check on a distress call, where her former lover was stationed. Hikaru rescues her, much to her chagrin. This video is the later episode where the bulk of the Zentradi fleet that hasn't been exposed to Minmay's music arrives and destroys the Earth's surface. Giant battle with Britai, the female Zentradi, etc allied with Macross. Misa is on Earth this time after being caught on the surface where he father is an Admiral/General. Hikaru rescues her again, but with more happy results. This episode is... 24? 25? and the Mars episode is like... Episode 8 or 9. Something like that
@@kenssd OK, but sometimes adaptations do improve the original. Watchmen the movie being a great example (Dr Manhattan being framed instead of some BS octopus alien), same as Angel Heart (from Falling Angel), or Hellraiser (from The Hellbound Heart). Japanese are as clueless as the Zentradi for composing moving music (those violins, rightout of a Holocaust movie soundtrack). And the voice work: you noticed the English dubbing actually matches the anime's lips moving way better than the original Japanese voices? They are so mismatched from the anime lips it makes one wonder who bothered to make sure their dialogue was in sync as much as possible and who didn't even bother to check once
I just stick to watching the english dub and music version. I mean that's what I grew up watching. I play and blast Robotech music soundtrack in my truck where ever I go. Even the Rick Hunter Theme. =)
@94hawaiijedi Robotech soundtrack is epic and I agree it is way better, but by default the original music is '70s ish disco or whatever from Japan but that's who the creators were I just feel no need to hate the original music which that other commenter seemed to be doing 😅. To me the original Japanese music I still like for the most part it makes me tap my toes and probably was music my parents preferred because they grew up with and prefer 60s and '70s sound hah
And Misa still has three hands at the end, even 42 years later.
OMG I have never realized it🤣
Gotta love the UN Spacy-d Orguss at 1:30. Decades later and still a fun easter egg

Misa deserves so much better. Rick is a confused boy.
He grows up at the end.
Watch Do You Remember Love
She's a waifu alright
Well in fact Hikaru is younger than Misa... so he is still a fool boy...
Omigod, just enjoy it for what it is.
How does Hikaru not realize that Miss loves him at this point?! In the next episodes he is confused as to why she is acting a certain way around him?
Because, i do believe, this episode was the original finale. The rest of the series was tacked on last minute. They had to force the drama.
I hear in my head, "It's Macross that we hear, but you that I love" implying he got over minmei and a little projection and fuckever thisi s a you tube thread
Well, this was supposed to be the finale, so I think he does.
Well, like a real life human male, he could have been a bit dense.
@@jkim6200 or like real life women she was expecting him to be a mind reader. 🤣🤣
Hermoso! Beautiful! I always loved that couple

Hikaru is a gentleman.
Ok, late but anyone knows what the track at 6:36 is?
The Macross theme but the rock version
We were watching a soap opera and didn't know it!
6:36 Where’d that 3rd hand come from? 😂
J'adore ce couple est la musique
What a romantic song.
Pero si Misa tenía 20 años, no más
Damn that was awesome.
1:29 is it Orguss on the right hand side?

6:38-6:42 misa have 3 hand.. 😱😱😱
xD

Ugh, this music is BS!
Robotech music totally kicks ass!!!
robotech music was awesome but it's kind of weird to hate on the original music from the people who actually made the show 😅
