Congrats on finally getting the French toast you waited 2 years for. Its nice to see you back in Seiad Valley under happier circumstances. BTW in 10 years of watching hiking videos on TH-camr your evacuation video was the best I have seen. All the other TH-cam hikers I watched get caught in that fire, just stopped filming, or only had a couple of clips of the evacuation. You were the only one who stayed cool, and documented the entire evacuation. 😎👍
Yay! Back on trail. I followed your 2022 adventure and started my own in 2023. Snow sent me home. I'm hoping for another go in 2025. You're an inspiration!!!

My wife and I were so happy to see you back out on the trail. You became one of our favorites back in '22. I just picked up a hiker in Truckee and gave him a lift to Donner Summit. I picked two hikers last year while I was visiting our cabin at the west end of the lake. I see you're well fueled with candy, french toast and Mountain Dew....I think of you everytime I see a can.

Well, good thing you started at Seiad Valley, because as I'm sure you know by now, there's a big fire just down the road in Etna. Started July 3. And BTW, "LordQuiche - Sparkle Lizard Hikes" from the UK, just recently came back to finish the PCT. He too was forced out by fires, though farther north than you (just north of Crater Lake.). Good luck to you, will be watching.

Oh, thank you 😁 that was one hell of a day that felt like a week. I had to document everything, because it was so exciting and unpredictable.
