⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 This performance is my standard answer to anyone who says that BABYMETAL aren't really metal. : ) It's already epic, and THEN Su rises up from beneath the stage. This song had it's world premiere the previous night. Su was just sixteen during this performance. The 'Mischief of the Metal Gods' instrumental often precedes 'Rondo of Nightmare', but not always. This was the Black Night at Budokan in 2014, with Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars and Hideki Aoyama on drums. And of course BOH on bass. Not that many people play a six stringed bass to begin with, let alone tap one like that.
You're a kind person to present them with _Rondo of Nightmare_ first. However, if they still do not repent of their nay-saying ways, then they leave us no choice but to bring out _BabyMetal DEATH._ ;)
Very nice reaction! Rondo of Nightmare is one of their best and mst popular songs. The song is basically about her running from a never ending nightmare. The part where Su is singing in the child like voice is where she fears she can no longer escape what is chasing her and asks it to show itself to her before it kills her. I don't think I have ever heard Kami band ever pronounced by a Japanese speaking person but I'm about 95% sure it would be KAH MEE.
Yes, for the Kami Band, the word they are using is 神 with band either written in English or katakana (バンド = bando). Here you go: th-cam.com/video/ZA9FajkIGHE/w-d-xo.html Within 2 seconds, now you've heard it. :D
I agree, I'll repost my comment from Luis' last Babymetal reaction: Tales of the Destinies is _very_ prog, but it will be difficult to post without copyright problems. There are both the studio track at th-cam.com/video/kp7MHMYXbSs/w-d-xo.html and live at Tokyo Dome (audio only) at th-cam.com/video/a_7l_asckp0/w-d-xo.html online, but that doesn't mean you'll be able to use them easily. (By the way the live version is cut off suddenly because it continued through into another song).
Rondo is one of my favourite songs as well. The melodies and the haunting dark atmosphere are so beautiful, although it's somewhat unusual for BABYMETAL, as their songs are usually happy and uplifting.
This was probably their darkest song. The song is about someone being trapped in an endless nightmare with no means of escape being huntef by an unseen creature. In the part where Su's voice had an effect, she pleads the creature to at least show its figure to her right before it kills her. Pretty dark right? We, BABYMETAL fans also believes that the Mischief of Gods Intro was a ritual to summon Su from hell. The Kami Band members who played in this video were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gild guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). You can also hear different variations of Mischief of Metal Gods performed by other Kami Band members on other concerts. Some of these are Mikio Fujioka's (7 string guitar) and Yuya Maeta (drums). There are also other songs with Kami Band Intros. Another one that they mostly do is from Catch Me If You Can. If you'll react to this, go with their Black Night Legend Doomsday performance. NEVER do a live compilation on your reaction videos because you miss the whole fun and experience pf their live shows as shows from different stages were compiled that can mislead you. You may haven't noticed that its only Su performing here. In this song, the other two girls are having a break and doing their homeworks (cause they're still children back then) backstage. Su had 4 solos. They are Rondo of Nightmare, Akatsuki, Amore, and No Rain, No Rainbow. Yui and Moa also have their songs to give Su a break. The two of them performing together were called "Black Babymetal". These songs are Sis. Anger, Onedari Daisakusen, GJ!, and Song 4. As for my recommendation, can you do Megitsune Official Music Video next? I prefer the MV here because in their live performances, they spoil the *i dont wanna spoil* part (they put it in the intro). So to prevent this, i suggest you to react to the MV first and if you want to witness their live performance of this after, its up to you. You can also see the beauty and aesthetics of their music video and the Japanese tradition that was really seen from the video. Catch you at the foxhole! Kitsunes up! Edit: i forgot to put that the pronunciation of Kami Band is "Kah-mee". And in an interview, the girls pronounced it as "kah-mee ban-do"
"Mischief of Metal Gods Intro" is a ritual performed by the god of guitar, bass & drum to summoned the Metal Queen Su-Metal. because in this song her human soul has been trapped in the recurring nightmare with no way to escaped. the Kami Band in this show are,.: - Leda Cygnus (1st guitar solo). in the past usually play with 6 string, but now he's using 7 or 8 string. - Takayoshi Ohmura (2nd guitar solo). he's using 7 string guitar named "Golden Moon". but, last year during the concert "BM Metal Galaxy World Tour in Japan Extra Show", both him & Leda was using 9 string guitar (ESP E-II MF-9 BabyMetal). - B.O.H (6 string bass). - Hideki Aoyama (drum).
Everyone gets lost on the timing of this song, but when you think about it, it's very easy. First, think back to Orion, by Metallica, and most importantly, Cliff's entire midsection. Here's why I say that. The opening progression of Rondo of Nightmare is one bar of 6/8 followed by one bar of 4/4 (or 14/16 if you want to take it down that far, but let's keep it simple for the sake of the 16th notes). The verse is in 6/8. The bridge and chorus is in 3/4. That is important, because 3/4 time puts you into a waltz. Time the moves of her dancing to that, and you'll get it. This is also exactly what Cliff did in that entire midsection of Orion - it's in 3/4, putting that entire section into a waltz. The breakdown? straight 4/4. Back to the waltz, back to the open progression. BTW. That wasn't a LO-FI effect. What she did was she closed off the vocal passage to her mouth and was singing nasally. She only moved the microphone closer up to her nose so you could get that effect. She's that good.
@@rantingrodent416 Music theory time here. If you count the beat of the opening as if it were a quarter note (follow Hideki's hit on the high hat and the cymbals), you'll get 14. So that would put you in one full bar of 14/16, or if you split it up, 6/8 and 8/8, which you could reduce to 3/4 and 4/4. But that would mean that the quarter note isn't getting the beat. Instead it would be the eighth note, putting 8 on the bottom of the timing. that's where 6/8 followed by 8/8 makes more sense, because the 8th note gets the beat evenly throughout the 14 counts of the beat. So it all depends on which note you want to have the beat. If it's the quarter note, then 4 is on the bottom of the timing, putting you in 3/4 for one bar then 4/4 for the other, but you'd miss the timing for the beat.

there are only five vowel sounds in japanese, so as long as they are distinguishable from one another, your pronunciation isn't any more accented than any other foreigner's. i'm pretty sure that all of your attempts at saying "kami" would be transcribed in japanese phonetic script as "カミ", which is correct.

Nossa, seria meu sonho!
When u talk about progresive thing, hear them song Tales Of Destiny. So fckn hard shit progresive song :D

Thanks for the suggestion!! Is it on their TH-cam Channel???
Kd os br? além do dono da canal? Ksks
Aí sim hahaha cade a galera pra animar os comentários?? 😅😅
there are only five vowel sounds in japanese, so as long as they are distinguishable from one another, your pronunciation isn't any more accented than any other foreigner's. i'm pretty sure that all of your attempts at saying "kami" would be transcribed in japanese phonetic script as "カミ", which is correct.
As soon as you mentioned a preference for more progressive music, then the next recommendation is of course given: "Tales of the Destinies". Took more than 2 years to write that one. It has only been performed live once, but unfortunately any recordings of that show are quickly taken down from TH-cam. You can have a look at it here, but if you try to react to this version, your video might get blocked:

You should probably use the studio recording instead, which unfortunately never got a music video:
