I've seen this movie more times than I can count and the ONLY things that give me pause is just how in the hell Vin convinced Dame Judi Dench, Thandiwe Newton, Linus Roache and Colm Feore (R.I.P.), four British POWERHOUSES to sign on for this movie. I LOVE that they did but man this is waaaaaaay out of the wheel house for those actors.
That would be like landing a league of legends skill shot that the enemy flashes into. For an enemy that can flash repeatedly. And a hero that moves with truth. Odds seem pretty good.
I don't give a d.mn about Riddick but the necromonger lore is cool as h.ll They have a backstory, cool designs, the underverse, and I found the "holy half-dead" thing fascinating without it being morbid. The battle for Helios prime was superbly done, kudos to the crew. I would love to watch a space opera or miniseries about how the necromongers cut their way through human space.
