Thanks for this video. I’m 58 and for the past 2 years I have been really unhappy with my blush. I mean, I have been wearing blush since I was 18, but all of a sudden it doesn’t look right. 😳 I will definitely try this placement. I agree, blush placement for more mature ladies has been about lifting the face.
That's why I watch beauty TH-camrs like you, Cat, because you are open to experimentation. I think it's easy to get stuck in a rut without realizing that it doesn't work for us anymore. Thanks for the wakeup call and the fresh approach! I'm 61, and my face has definitely changed even since my 50s.
Last summer the sunburnt look was trendy for blush placement. I realized then my 43 year old face looked better with that look. Which would be very similar to this. It also helps conceal my very dark under eye circles! So it’s a win for me for several reasons.
A definite win for all of us! @MrsCroark 🥰 thank you so much for sharing your valuable input! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
I love to use Blush on the apples 🍎, it mimickes that outdoor glow! I never cared for the blush on the perimeters and leaving the apples bare.❤
Entire makeup look is a 10 out of 10! 💄💋
Awwww, thank you so much! @paulettemusial59 🥰💖🌸
This is how I always do my blush and bronzer. Glad you discovered it.😊 It makes the cheeks look much plumper and more youthful.😊
I love the powder side. I will definitely do this. Thank you! Just beautiful ❤
I love this blush style much more than the high blush. I’ve been doing this for the last few weeks and it looks better on me. ❤ I agree it makes you look more youthful. 😉
Hello, my dear friend! @cupiedoll9759 🥰 how are you?! Omg, yes! This is such such a beautiful way to give us that youthful glow! Thank you so much for watching, my sweet friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Great Video Cat. I’ve been wondering why most u tube content creators haven’t been applying their bronzer and blushes this way. I’ve been watching RoseMaries videos and WOW! She is an amazing more mature MUA. I’ve been applying my bronzer and blush as she recommends for us more mature ladies since I started watching her several months back. Cat, what a huge difference ( in a great way) this application has made in your face shape. It’s amazingly beautiful and so flattering on you. As it is on myself. I always wondered why we placed our bronzer in a more downward slanted way along our face. Love it. Thank you for demonstrating this application method on your self, it’s amazing how different it makes us look more youthful isn’t it? Have a blessed rest of your wkend.
Awwwww, thank you so much! @karlaharvey2623 🥰 I am a huge fan of Rose-Marie Swift and her products! Her methods of application are wonderful for the mature beauty! It has definitely changed my viewpoint of how and where to apply certain makeup products! Thank you so much for watching, my beautiful friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰 😘
I just watched several celebrities (over 40) doing their own makeup the way makeup artist taught them. They only use face powder lightly under the eyes and T zone. They actually use a cream blush and a cream bronzer and set it with a powdered blush and powdered bronzer so it last all day. I’ll be trying your placement tips and their cream/powder blush bronzer tips. They, too, looked flawless.
Great idea going to try this.
Beautiful Cat!! Love this look and technique!❤😊
Gorgeous Cat! OMG this is how I applied blush all the time until i was influenced to try it all the way to temple, sweeping upwards to make your face look lifted! Bahaha This looks beautiful, I will now go back! Thanks for showing us the hack!!
Awww, thank you so much! @jennifercaparole1978 🥰 omg, yes! We, even me are told, apply it this way because you want to look "lifted!" But, the old fashioned way of applying it to our apples of the cheek has truly made a difference! I feel bad that I've fallen into that "mindset!" Ugh! No more! Thank you so so much for watching, my dear friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Great technique! Trying it tomorrow! Thank you!
Love this look so much! Both sides look great!🙃💖
Going to try this technic tomorrow..Thanks Cat!
Wow, gorgeous - I need to try this! Beautiful look, Cat and happy Sunday ❤
Looks great! Definitely give this a go! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you, Cat
Great job
Going to give it a try today
😊🙏✨️
I will try this method. Yoi look lovely and youthful. Thank you for sharing.
I think the non creamy blush side is gorgeous!
Awwww, thank you so much! @annettependergrass5202 🌸🥰✨️
Thank you. I very much love teaching videos
I will try it, thank you
Hi Cat, I find that both sides look amazing 🤩. Thank you for showing the hacks. Have a great weekend 😊.
What a great video Cat! Finally, someone, beside RoseMarie and Bobbi Brown who have been telling us, how to apply bronzer and blush , in a way that would make mature women look younger. Your video is such
an inspiration . Would you consider a review on RMS ReDimension blushes and bronzers? Love the hair!
Awwww, thank you so much @adgpb 💖 I love RMS Beauty products! Their blushes are one of my favorites! I do need to try her new bronzer, though! Thank you so much for suggesting this! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Hi Cat..beautiful!!! This is a great suggestion from your viewer. I do apply blush on the apples of my cheeks but I’ve been taking it too far to the edges of my face and to my temple. Tomorrow is a new day to try this technique on my 62 year old face. You’re absolutely right that our face is so different from when we were in our 20’s. I have a 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter and her cheeks are so beautifully plump. Thank you so much and the Morphe blush has been added to my Sephora cart. Have a happy weekend 😊🇨🇦💐
If it means I can use more blush and bronzer then yes, I’m in!
I’m going to try this technique tomorrow 😊Thanks for sharing Cat ❤
I have been using my blush this way for a while now because it looks better on my face than on temples etc we are not all cookie cutter so it’s what fits us individually
Omg,yes! @NancyStinger-ll6wt ❤️ we are all unique and beautiful with different facial structures! Thank you so much for watching, my beautiful friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Will try it. Thanks 😊
Awwww, thank you so much for watching, my sweet friend! @zoraidaiglesias934 ❤️ and please let me know what you think! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Oh wow ❤!! I will be trying this for sure. Thank you Cat & wooooo 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 11K+ and growing.
Awwww, thank you so much @olinayoung6287 💖 you have been an amazing support for our community! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
I just discovered you and now subscribed!!
You look beautiful using this technique! I’m going to try it now ❤Thank you
So nice to meet you! @barbararue3768 🥰 I'm so happy you found me! Thank you so much for watching! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Thank you Cat, beautiful ❤
i don't understand how this is a hack for the blush? that's how everyone has always put blush on for years and years. i always have put blush on the apples since i was a teenager. love your channel.
Hello @mantronixtube ❤️ omg, yes! I totally agree! But, I think sometimes we have to apply our blush to "accommodate our age" which now, I think we should go back to basics! Thank you so much for watching, my dear friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Such a pretty lady ❤❤ never thought you were 57. You look much younger, you have beautiful skin and come across as a really lovely, genuine lady. I’ve subscribed. This looked very pretty.
She didn't extend it up into the temples though. 🎉
@@liisabjork76Exactly.
I went to 'cosmetology' school after high-school in the early 90's and they taught us to really pull the blush out to the sides of the face, to concentrate the color placement (generally) along the cheekbones - not the apples of the cheek.
Before that (and afterwards, I loved makeup! 😊) I constantly 'read' fashon magazines, and the makeup trend went in the Kate Moss "heroin chic" direction where everyone wanted to look as skinny as possible and concentrated blush on the sides/cheekbone/hollows of the cheeks even more. For decades we put literal 'slashes' of blush along our cheekbones, not many were just putting pops of color on the apples of the cheeks - no matter what your age!😅
We certainly had a lot of fun with makeup in the 80's and '90's though!
Love this....I would have never thought a play on a different angle with the brush could change the facial features. Looking forward to trying my routine tomorrow. ❤ Your channel thxs for sharing Cat
Awww, thank you so much, my dear friend! @MsBritishwoman 🥰 please let me know how it turns out! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Cat, loving the hair. Yes the technique looks beautiful on you.
Awwww, thank you so much, my dear friend @pamelawilliams2889 🥰🌸✨️😘
Looks great
Thank you so much! 💖
You look wonderful and very youthful!
Lovely video, love your hair, I don't use bronzer, but I do apply my blush the way you apply the bronzer, I miss my 21 yr old face, but am happy with my 63 yr old one, Love these tips, will try it, TY for your time, I love these type of videos!
Awwww, thank you so much @emiliaescobar7652 💖 you are so kind! This comment makes me so happy 😊 thank you so much for watching, my sweet friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Oh surprise Friday video. So pretty great video and tips. I watched Jen Phelps take and I have been playing with this but on the fence. Love the idea you have make it work for ones bone structure. Lots of love a d thank you
Surprise! @tamizilla 🥰 I watched Jen's video, too! But, it was you guys that suggested that I try this and curiosity got the best of me! Thank goodness! I love it! Let me know when you try this! Sending hugs to you, my beautiful friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
@@CatsEyeBeauty so glad you did! 🫶💖🫶 Really is pretty.
I have seen this and tried and it looks good for us. Yes, drinks on the beach lol. It does look natural, Cat!! Beautiful! Thank you for doing this video! XOXO
Awww, thank you so much, my beautiful friend! @HebaS 🥰 this is how I'll be doing my blush and bronzer from now on! ✨️💖🌸
I am going to try this technique today!! I love both sides of your face. I always wondered why we have to contour so much. I stopped doing that last year. I don’t think it looks as good in real life vs. in studio lighting. Thank you for once again bringing us very helpful advice! ❤😊
Awesome! @44macymoo 🥰 omg, yes! Contouring isn't necessary if you already have high cheekbones! It just made my face look so gaunt 😬 I like to present real, everyday makeup 💖 and this technique is so easy and beautiful! Thank you so much for watching, my beautiful friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Cat, I agree...this technique is definitely flattering on you! I'm going to try it tomorrow. 😊
❤
Awwww, thank you so much, my dear friend @deejohnson827 🥰✨️💖 let me know how yours turn out! Much love! Cat xoxo 😘 🤗 💖
@@CatsEyeBeauty I just put on my makeup so we can go to an anniversary party for some friends, and I like the new placement! Thanks for suggesting it!
Hugs from Iowa! 🥰
Awwww, big YAY! 🥰 enjoy your party! Sounds wonderful! Sending hugs to you in Iowa! 😘💖🤗
I love the powder side on you. So beautiful! I will try this, but nothing ever looks as good on me as it does on you.
I like both sides on you😊. Even tho i have combo oily skin, I prefer cream blush because my smile "crinkles" on the cheeks are minimized /moisturized vs dry powder blush 😊 . It cosmetics has new cream blushes that i absolutely love on my tan skin.
You look amazing❤❤❤ still youthful and very pretty!
Awww, thank you so much @SilkyStyle 💖 you are too kind! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Great technique. It is true you must play with it to work on different faces. The play is fun too!
Awww, thank you so much @beautybycolour 💖 and, I agree with you! It's fun to play with makeup! Thank you so much for watching! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
I get all my makeup on and don’t look quite right until I do my hair. I think the shape, texture and color of your hair makes a huge impact at our age.
I agree with you 100% @grannypattie 👍 excellent point! ❤️
Looks good on you Cat. It Give you a little more plumpness. And that’s how I apply my blush since years. 😊
Awww, thank you so much @evelynrosado9711 💖 I'm definitely going to do this method from now on! 🥰🌸✨️
I like your style. Nice video! Instant sub, xxx
Omg, thank you so much @glitterkitty1979 🥰 you are too kind! I hope you have an amazing week! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️🥰🌸
Just stumbled upon your channel: immediately subscribed, because you've got a great energy and you look amazing!!😊😃❤
I'm also gonna put the blush on the apples of my cheeks instead of doing the lifting 'thingy'😂. I've got ' apples' and freggles: will be a nice combo, I hope!
Lots of love and light from the Netherlands 💫💜
Hello! @pippilangkous3308 💖 so lovely to meet you! And, yes! Please let me know what you think about this technique and how your "apples and freggles" turn out! 🥰 Sending hugs to you in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🤗 thank you so much for watching, my sweet friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Its so crazy bc i have a wide face n have spent yrs perfecting scluping it but i get the concept. I'll try it.
Hi Cat! 🙋♀️ I started applying my blush/bronzer like that I'd say about a yr ago, more across my face and on the bridge of my nose to sorta tie the look together and I really liked it, I don't know whether it looks better on or not, but that's how I've been doing it 😆 and I probably realized it while watching Emily Noel, don't get me wrong, I like her, but I think she applies her blush waay too low 😬 which made me think that maybe I was kinda doing something similar and it wasn't doing any favors to my more mature small-ish oval face 😁 but of course, to each their own, it's all about what make us feel good, right? 😉... thnx for the tip though, you always look great my beautiful friend 😍... Happy Sunday! hugzzz 💜🌹🤗
I always place blush on the cheek apples, just like my mom did.( she would use her lipstick 💄 lol 😂) The blush up high placement looks weird to me. Your make up looks beautiful 🤩
Omg, thank you so much @yvonnereza4824 💖 your mom sounds like my mom 🥰 I miss her so much. She was and will always be my inspiration 💕 thank you so much for watching! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
i also noticed the blush under the eyes for a lifted look never looked good on me. can't wait to try this, thank you !
Yay! 💖 @Me-zw8tc 🥰 let me know what you think! Thank you so much for watching! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
You got a new subscriber today. That's a good hack. ❤
Awww, so nice to meet you! @cynthiagonzales1599 🥰💖✨️
Hi Cat, The blush and bronzer placement does make a difference in our face shape and it can make us look more vibrant and well rested. I definitely need color on my cheeks and I love the variety of powders, creams, and liquids. Have a great weekend!
Omg, yes! @cwm5316 🥰 it really does make a difference in placement! And there are so many wonderful options of blush! Thank you so so much for watching, my dear friend! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
You have beautiful facial structure and features. I like doing my bronzer and blush in a similar way. I’m now in my 40s and I can tell I need to apply my blush higher than I used to lol. Thanks for all the great tips and tricks 💛
Awwww, thank you so much! @Hillcountry_Catholic 💖 you are so kind! And thank you so much for watching! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Cat, I love your look. Btw, I did the exact same hair color with highlights in the front the very first week of 2024. I needed to start the year with something different and fun. I’ve wanted to say that I love it on you! Ok, I’m doing this tomorrow for a big family event. I’ve been doing blush that high, but this looks fabulous. Thanks for the tip!
Awesome @minnauyeda7339 🥰 I wish I could see your hair! I'm loving this blonde peekaboo! Let me know how your results are trying this technique! What's the big event? So excited for you! Thank you so much for watching, my beautiful friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
I loved how it turned out. My bronzer isn’t quite dark enough for my tan, but I just put the blush in the front and top of my face. I plan on getting the two faced or benefit hoola darker bronzer.
Unfortunately, it was my dear daddy’s funeral. I saw so many people from long ago, family and family friends and all said I don’t look like a nearly 60 year old grandma!
Hi Cat, both sides look gorgeous, the glow from the morphe looks beautiful 🩷
Thank you fort his new subscriber to you ❤
Awww, thank you so much for watching @Green Eyez 🥰🌸✨️
Both sides look great! Just depends on which color pallet you are going for that day. I agree that this method of applying bronzer and blush suits you. I too have an Asian face, I am the same age as you, and I apply my bronzer and blush in the same manner. I do not go below my nose with color though, I think you should try that too. Thanks for the video!
I'll definitely try that! @susanmcintyre9934 🥰 thank you so much for watching, my dear friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰 😘
Just found you Love what you do ❤
So pretty
Thank you so much! @halinayen9744 🥰🌸❤️
Im proud of u for trying this after i suggested it a couple times. This just looks more natural. Wearing blush on the perimeters of the face is unnatural. Blessings to u!
Awwww, thank YOU so much @starrhall8160 💖 you were so right! I'm loving this technique! You're awesome! Thank you so so much for watching, my dear friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Thank you Cat for sharing 😊No highlighting for me don’t need my wrinkles showing more than need be 😂
Thank you so much. Both sides beautiful but i like the creamy side best. But which is best for hiding wrinkles? Haha..way to much fun in the sun 25 years ago. 😂❤
Thank you so much…
Great technique, great colors... you look beautiful! This works brilliantly on you. Would it be ok to ask what brand/color nail polish you are wearing? 🧚♂💅🏻Its very pretty and I would love to buy some.
Hello! My sweet friend @MissRain-xt2vj 🥰 awwww, thank you so much! Omg, yes! I actually got a manicure and the type of nail polish is called Fairy lights? 🧚♀️ they use a magnet to shift the shimmer in the polish to give it that unique design! And would you believe it's a technique called "Cat's Eye?!" True story! Thank you so much for watching! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
@@CatsEyeBeauty Thank you! 💜
Great technique. I like the left side of your face with powder bronzer and blush.
Awwww, thank you so much! @SherriWNAZ 🥰🌸✨️
Wow looks great see you soon ❤
Awwww, thank you so much! @gladysgarrity5721 🥰 and thank you so much for watching, my beautiful friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
You look cute!!❤❤❤
I like the pink creamy side
I am a powder girl, so.....But both sides are very beautiful and easy to create. And thank you very much for this video. Great results only by doing a little different technique.
Awwww, thank you so much! @vibekemortensen4270 💖
I think you already look young, I can’t believe you’re 57. I like the effect of the powder side. I will give it a try, I’m 55 years old. Thanks for the tip ❤😊
I too have a very angled and chiseled face, and although that may be wonderful when you are young, at 53 I’m always trying to find ways to soften my features, I love the right side 😊
Omg, right?! @Yazmin Osoyo ❤️ I wished I had that chiseled look when I was younger 😁 but, I love how we can use makeup to soften our features, too! Thank you so much for watching! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
This is my first time here and my 66 I like this idea I like the left side better maybe it's the colors ❤
Thank you so much for watching @angiereyes3240 🥰 so nice to meet you! I like to provide options to whatever suits your needs! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
OK, I understand the technique-which you illustrated beautifully. However, the “flat” planes of your face, your bone structure, is quite stunning as is. There is beauty in angularity, also. I’m not sure I agree that “improvement” is needed. Either way, you’re a joy. ❤
Omg, thank you so much! @phyllistallent4149 🥰 you are so kind! 💖🌸❤️
At 60 I need all the help I can get 😂 Will definitely have to try this❤
Awesome! @lms6137 🥰 let me know what you think! Thank you so much for watching, my sweet friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
It all depends on your face structure.
What color corrector do you use under your eyes 💜
Hello @YM--- I've been wearing Drmtlgy Luminous Eye Corrector in shade tan. It also has an SPF of 41! It's absolutely beautiful! 🥰🌸✨️
@@CatsEyeBeauty thank you! will try! 💜
❤❤❤❤
super -cute 🩵
Awww, thank you so much! @chicachatzis 🥰🌸✨️ hope you are doing well, my sweet friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰 😘
@@CatsEyeBeauty u look so good
I can't put anything across my nose or it pulls off foundation and then I look like Rudolph😂 Also, I am going to try this, but my face is already "full" or pudgy. I always put blush on the front of my cheeks so I get to see the color
What's the point of applying the bronzer if it's going to be covered with the blush? You can't even see it. Am I missing something? I Jane big apple cheeks and high cheekbones, so should I still put blush on my cheek apples? It's so confusing to me. Everyone does it different and days l says this is the way it should be done. Help! 😫
It's all about placement @TheRapnep 🙂 if you already have full apple cheeks? You probably don't need to do this! Lucky you! 🥰
Aren’t you applying the blush over the bronzer though?
Yes! @trinablum7102 💖 it creates a seamless effect of that sun-kissed look! Try it! 🥰
Both sides look great
Awwww, thank you so much, my dear friend @ruthjackson4317 🥰🌸✨️
The left side with powder products look better in my opinion…
Your daughter is beautiful just like r! The pic of u @ 21 I can definitely see your daughter, Wow
Omg @paulawilhite7476 ❤️ when I looked more closely to this picture, I instantly saw Ava! 🥰 even Matt was astounded! BTW, Ava is doing fantastic! Thank you so much for watching, my dear friend! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰

The new girl on Cobra Kai looks like your twin, haha, of course as a young lady.
Omg, thank you so much! @AngelaBrown-jf3vc 🥰❤️🌸 she's so beautiful, and you are so kind! ❤️
Haha…as someone with a big round face, I don’t think this is a good idea.
The natural side looks much better. The other side has way to much Blush & looks fake & not blended
Thank you for your honesty @topkat8268 ❤️ I truly appreciate it! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🌸 🥰
Your left side makes you look 20 yrs younger imo. I know you like your right side but the color feels too harsh.
Awww, thank you so much @wiseowl1580 💖 I love the more subtle side, too. Perfect for every day! 🥰
I thought both sides are pretty.
I don't think bronzer is at all flattering on mature women. Im 63 and I find keeping things simple looks best. All the bronzers, contour, powder etc just age me. A nice face tint applied lightly and a bit of cream blush are my go to these days
I love a beautiful skin tint, and cream blush is my everyday go-to look @lisaetheridge666 🥰 and yes, bronzer may not look flattering on everyone. Sometimes simple makeup is the best! Thank you so much for sharing your valuable input! Much love, Cat xoxo ✨️ 🥰❤️
@@CatsEyeBeauty I'm very pale so bronzer is not my friend lol
Too much yadduh yadduh.
Just get on with it
