Like, what?! 😂😂 Wait until you hit 50 and have seen every trend come and go at least 3x. No one is inventing anything new out here, it’s all regurgitated and reformatted.

I was not raised to listen to other people. I listen to me. I wear what I want and I have always been a skin care woman. My makeup looks so much better on my better looking skin. I am a woman of color so I have certain makeup choices. I love color and not so much neutrals. I am 67 and have been through the color look, the neutrals (brown look) etc. No make up is really new. Just like clothing everything old is new again! I wear makeup that make me feel good and following trends is not my journey! I love your channel and I love what you do. You blend out color and make things look beautiful. Love you!💜💙💛😄

I am 67 also and I am right there with you (as a white woman). I love wearing what I want, clothing wise and make-up wise and don't care what they (whoever "they" are) say. They all think their word is "the word" and oh-so-trendy. 🙄 Like you said, everything old is new again and really, vice versa. 😊😊
Same! IDC what's "out" or "in" I wear and do what I want and I actually make it a point not to be like everyone else! Now that eyeshadow is "out" I'll make sure to wear it even more lol❤

I am SO relieved you are not giving up on your eyeshadow tutorials even though you don't wear eyeshadow that much anymore. I love them and I always check them out for inspiration for when I want to (re)create a pretty eyeshadow look 😊 I personally would love to see more looks with older pallets. I love how you create multiple looks with almost every palette and show its true potential and versatility 😊

I think playing up one feature, whether it’s lips, cheeks or eyes, is really cool. You follow your heart, it knows best. ❤. I will enjoy your videos, regardless of the topic. But the eyeshadow looks will always be my favorite.

I love eyeshadow, and I won’t listen to trends that say eyeshadow is out. “Who” is saying that? “They” are saying that? No. Nope. I don’t know who “they” are, and I’m not about to start listening to them 😂.
Although, I think different scenes and different scenarios require different shadow looks, some light, some bold, and some none at all.
Honestly, I have been unfollowing people who are steering away from eyeshadow tutorials. Mainly because that’s the main reason I came to TH-cam, and the main videos I love to watch.
There are some TH-camrs who used to do makeup, but are now starting to do more commentary style videos, and I don’t find myself interested in their videos anymore. Like Kelly Gooch, and Chloe Morello, they have changed their videos, and talk a lot about the industry, or other things, and I actually skip past those videos.
TH-cam videos help me decide what products I want to purchase, so, I’ve been unsubscribing vlog style videos, and people veering away from makeup.
That just my personal opinion 😂 🤷🏻♀️ Doesn’t really mean squat though hahaha 😂

Most vlogs to me are so boring. I try not to waste time watching other people on vacation, and I don’t care what’s going on in the industry. I’m here for the tutorials that are seriously lacking these days. Angelas are some of the best to me. I like Morgan Turner also but don’t watch all her reviews.

I’m a Senior and I love your instruction videos! My favorite that I’ve watched many times is the half cut crease. I definitely would like more “beginner” videos with natural looks. ❤️❤️

I have been using Mac Longwear Paintpot in Painterly for the last couple of years. It's very neutral, and with eyeliner and mascara it's all I need. I'm in my 80s, and I like the softer but still defined and finished look on me. I love beautiful color and have a lipstick wardrobe that proves that 😊. Wear what you love and you'll have fun . You're all gorgeous ❤

Love love love that you say, "Do what makes you feel good!!" I am 50 years old and eyeshadow will always be a thing for me. There are days when I go heavier and days when a single shadow look works. I do what I love and not what the trends say.

I’ve never like really bold eyeshadow, so I would absolutely love soft looks but with luxe palettes, rose quartz in particular.
Yes!!! I've tried SO many eyeshadow looks but it never looked quite "me". Focusing on skin, blush, eyebrows and a bit of mascara works so much better for me.
Eyeshadow looks are not going anywhere. Please stop relying on what trends are currently in style. Believe me eyeshadow looks are what make your face shine. People look into your eyes when talking to you not the 8 layers of blush you're wearing. The overuse of blush is what should be out.

I don’t know about anyone else but my whole life (I’m 61), has been a series of stages, in everything. Makeup, clothing, shoes, hair, jewelry, house decor, cars, etc. I might be in a muted makeup grunge dress stage for a couple years, then flip to a hippy dress bold makeup fun stage, then to a classy dress full glam makeup stage. It’s not planned. It all has to do with my age, my skin, my job, my attitude, whatever. What I was 5 years ago is not who I am now. I go with the flow and what feels comfortable at the time. I’m glad you still plan to do eyeshadow videos. They are very helpful and enjoyable.

I do love making my eyes up. I always have, and I always will, but that's just me, but my personal passion is my skin care, making sure my skin is as flawless as possible and considering my age 61 in September I'm not doing to bad naturally, I personally don't believe in plastic surgery or anything like that as it really does scare me. Somedays, I do a very simple eye. Other days, I knock it up a notch. I would love to see more technique videos, especially how to decide which colors to use in a palette.

I love your look. You look great. I’ve been doing the same type of makeup. I’m 79 and I don’t want a “glam” look. You have great eyes, so you don’t need a lot to make them pop.
Gen X! I did the three blushes technique in the 80's. Not over the eyes though. I used neon orange and yellow eyeshadow and blended it to the hairline. Oh, and blue mascara. I loved the 80's. 🎉

Eyeshadow will never be out! There are too many colors and ways to wear eyeshadow for it to be "out". Even with a soft glam look, people still use eye shadow. It doesn't have to be bright & bold eyeshadow looks every time so the idea it's out is odd (to me at least)

I am 62 and only started wearing makeup about 5-6 yrs ago again. I wore it in my teens but eyeshadow was all I wore with the black eyeliner that we had to light on fire for it to work lol. I have really been into skincare the last two years and my skin has really improved a lot. I love the look you did in this video 👍🏻❤️
Oh my gosh! I remember doing that too! (Heating up my eyeliner pencils with a lighter I mean). I’m glad pencils have gotten softer and easier to use, but I won’t be following the “no eyeshadow” trend (such as it is). All I ever used was eyeshadow, too. No blush, not even foundation (gasp!). It has always been about the eyes for me. ❤️

I love eyeshadow. I don’t see me ever stopping. I tried a couple times to go with the trend and do a light eye look and it always turns into a full look. I gave up on it and just do what I love.

I never follow the trends... and I feel like the majority of consumers don't follow the "trends". It's the saying 'the squeaky wheel gets greased first'... There are 4 wheels, but 3 are ignored because they aren't squeaking. People only hear the squeaky wheel. Doesn't mean they are the majority LOL, they are just the loudest. The other 75%+ don't care to be squeaky and aren't sheep. We have our own minds, we just don't feel the need to broadcast it. 😂 So yeah, when I see "trends" I just giggle a little and live my best life. As do most people.

Yes, tutorials! Please do an undereye tutorial. I'm about 20 years older than you but can't do my undereyes anymore. All of the old tricks & makeup aren't working on my dark circles & dreaded crow's feet.
Shadow isn't out; we're just using it differently as you say! Would love to see:
*The 1 shadow trend - using powder, sticks, creams, shimmers - how to make it look good
*More of your simple, everyday shadow looks for work/school, brunch, etc.
*Tips for cohesive looks between shadow, blush, lips
*Tips for choosing shadow and makeup to compliment clothes
*Looks for the color seasons or cool, neutral, and warm looks

Would love to see how to wear these colourful indie palettes in a current, trending, understated way (eg colour on the lower lashline or just in the inner corner or as a liner etc) my thing now is brown crease and a sparkly neutral on the lid…
Happy birthday! I think you’re spot on that more of us just want to keep it simple and focus on “natural” features like skin, cheeks, etc. Even aside from the clean girl thing, it’s an interest in looking like you didn’t try too hard. I’m here for the fun but less dramatic looks, I hope you do end up filming some things like that. Personally - I love having a pop of color and I’d enjoy a tutorial on how to add a bit of flash to a casual look.

I love your eyeshadow videos, that was what I first saw from you years ago. But I also absolutely love your talking videos like these, the full face ones etc. please just do both! So what’s stopping you doing two or three looks with one pallet? An intense one, a mid one and a softer one. That way you’ve covered everything! 😊

To me, this "look" makes you look older. It's giving me mom vibes. Colorful eye looks on you, to me, give you a more youthful appearance. It's pretty but it's adding some years.

I find this approach refreshing😊 it’s totally ok to change your taste/preference in makeup. I actually went in the same direction last year, I started using my lipsticks as blush (and just a touch of whats legt on the brush on the eyes) and I LOVE IT. I feel great in it! It doesn’t look as heavy on me as a classic eyeshadow look.

I actually started wearing eyeshadow more often when I started watching your videos !! I personally think that eyeshadow “ finishes” my look overall . But it’s up to the individual & just because you started your TH-cam channel around eye shadow looks & trends & such doesn’t mean you have to stick with that . You’ve got to be true to yourself & if you aren’t enjoying the content you’re creating then in my opinion, you should change it up ! I really just like seeing the different looks you come up with, eyeshadow or no eyeshadow .

I’ve been doing blush on my eyes instead of shadow for years❤❤ it’s a great way to look natural and healthy without looking like you have a ton of makeup on. I’m 57 and back in my day (the 80’s) makeup was NOT like it is today and so I never really liked the feel of eyeshadow on my eyes… so I always used blush🤷♀️ Now, with bronzers being a thing… on my “no makeup” makeup days I do either blush or bronzer as my shadow❤❤

I totally vibe with this technique, I’ve been using it every day for years as I believe the glow of blush is a great foundation for any look whether eyeshadow or not. People notice skin ! I have commented this (or similar) on some other peoples’ videos, but I wont be getting rid of my eyeshadow just cause it’s apparently not trending anymore. I love my glitter and sparkle, it cheers me up and it’s how I express myself. I love the endless options and creativity that come with eyeshadow. Yes, some days I like a more subtle look or i might not wear eyeshadow, but i still love to have the option of it and my eyeshadow collection is here to stay.
I’m Asian and have hooded monolids. So, I need my eyeshadows. I’ve developed a few styles over the years that are my go-to and just do something out-of-the-box when I perform or have a party. I look at trends as an artist looks at paintings and only to see if there’s something new out there that I could incorporate but, never to let it dictate my style. My style is my signature and it’s unique to me as I’m sure it is for most of you out there. So, do what makes you feel beautiful and comfortable and don’t let trends take away from that. I just discovered your channel and love it so far. ❤
Love how you pointed out that you’re wearing less eyeshadow/makeup etc not because it’s trendy but it’s because that is what aligns with how you feel. That is what it’s all about, Angela! I’m a little late to this party. I love my eyeshadow, but I am very light-handed with it. I am SÚPER pale and am a little nervous using blush. I use it, but I am light-handed with it because I don’t want to create an obvious line/cast. I’m working on blending, blending, blending. 🖌️

You look very pretty! As a person who has had a LOT of sunburns in my life, I see people with this makeup look and think, "Oh, it's the new sunburned look." I avoid sunburns now, so I guess this is a healthier way to get that look. I never enjoyed my sunburned look! Back in the winter we had the Cold Girl look? I just thought, "It's the new too much cold look." I really liked the Latte Look and the pink spring look. They're all pretty and very charming. Some people over do them, and it just looks like a lot of makeup. All the new trends are fun, and they add to our enjoyment and artistry. You get something from all the trends. They add to our makeup story. They also add a lot of products to our makeup drawer! Wear the ones you like. Change it up sometimes. Have fun!😂💜
I was never someone to looooove the super glam makeup with falsies, very sharp brows and heavy contour. That being said I am also not 100% into the full no-makeup, makeup trend (or clean girl aesthetic - just don't like that saying so much). But I am rather in the middle of the spectrum with a light base that feels like skin + colorful eyeshadow (the eyeshadow placement just changes as I get older but that's it).
So overall, I am particularly happy with some of your latest tutorials as they suits more my personal way of doing makeup but I still learned so so much from the 2016 aesthetic! I wouldn't be too quick on dismissing trends that aren't ''on trend anymore'' as they still keep on teaching us other way of doing makeup which I find super interesting (don't know if I make sense?) .

I am older, super fair, blonde eyelashes and eyebrows. Without makeup I look like an alien. With subtle makeup (including eyeshadow). I actually look good. I love eyeshadow and will never give it up. Don’t care about trends.

The blush-for-eyeshadow trend will be over by summer’s end. Guaranteed. In the meantime, let’s enjoy a fresh summer, less work trend, no matter what the “young kids are doing” 😂😂 As an older broad, I lol’d at you saying you’re 28 and won’t be ruled by what the younger generation thinks.
I have that highlighter and use it every day. It's very, very subtle. Great for mature skin and giving an over all dimensional look without giving a "higlighted" look.
But Ange your eyes have that beautiful blue/grey colour. On a monotone chic like me where everything is mid brown , we gotta pull the darker shades to make a diff . Don’t get me wrong, your makeup is always flawless and traffic stopping. So I can’t follow that clean look as , why would I bother putting any makeup on. Just my thoughts. I’ll happily follow your vids tho .
I would love to learn your eyebrow techniques, especially grooming and keeping them maintained...tweezing or whatever method... I've been trying to grow mine back out like to have them more thick and natural but how to shape them... no clue 😂

Interestingly, I feel like some of these trends really do have a pulse on the population.
Blush for me, not so much. As we have dived into and been lingering in the blush trend, my interest in wearing blush has completely died. I really don't do much face makeup at all. I'm most likely to put on some highlighter and if I'm going all out, a bronzer. Mind you, I am no longer working at home, and where I work is hot so I'd sweat it all off anyway. However, if I were doing a full beat I would just be bronzing, doing a light contour and adding some highlighter.
I am still in love with eyeshadow, though. The eyes have always been what I loved to play up. That said, I am enjoying a softer eye look myself these days. I am not going very smokey. Often I build up the crease and put some shimmer or sparkle on my lid. I think a lot of eyeshadow lovers are feeling this vibe. It reminds me a lot of Samantha March's eyeshdow style. I think doing videos showing how to build lighter eye looks would go over well right now and showing us the products you like to use for that. Are there any shadow sticks you actually like. Or nice quick 1 and down shadows. Great quads or small palettes for on the go. That is the vibe I am after for right now.
And lip techniques, like why do you put powder on them first? I like my lips to be emollient and not feel like glue... just curious what does that do using the powder... I'm older so no clue about newer ways of doing things...I maybe doing it all wrong all these years 😅
Especially with the Chinese eyeshadows, indie brands and multichromes , there’s no way I’m putting my shadows down . I do notice my eyeshadow aging me sometimes, I aged like crap 😂 I’m 35 and I look old . But there’s nothing I can do about it and eyeshadow makes me so happy , beauty in general is .
This is my first time coming across your channel. Your makeup look looks beautiful. I love eyeshadow, I still struggle with putting colors together and coming up with looks but My makeup has improved so much from watching makeup tutorials. I do wish I could wear shimmers, chrome shades and glitters in my makeup looks without them irritating, burning or cutting into my eyelids or falling the partials falling into my eyes and causing the same issues. Any tips?

I have seen makeup trends come and go, just as with clothing trends. It all just comes back around. As for me, I love eyeshadow. I believe a person's eye are what brings your face to life, so to speak. I am 50, and I do nudes to blues. Lol. I wear what makes me feel beautiful. I believe that's what we all want. ❤ My mentality is to just be who I am and let the trends go
Funny I pretty much stopped too, not due to trends tho. I live in FL so it’s silly to spend time perfecting an eye look that I’m just gonna sweat off in 20 minutes. We average 95 real feel w high humidity. 🥵
Eyeshadow has been my favourite part of makep and still is but my preference has changed from bold colorful looks to more soft and nuetral looks. I dont think i have been influenced by trends but im approaching my 40s and what i liked in my 20s and early 30s has changed
