I have used the Xduoo MT-604, but this sounds like a worthwhile replacement. I do like the VU meter. Thank you as always for this in-depth and comprehensive review. All the best to you and the whole family.
@@GadgetryTech Did some tube rolling on the MT-604 and your recommendation of the Ray Tubes is very tempting. Thanks for taking the time to reply, Sir. Much appreciated.
This is the most in-depth review of an amp that I have ever watched, really love it! I would love to see you review the xDuuo TA-26S and the Woo Audio Mini Tube
Thanks! Hoping for some good news tomorrow but we had a more normal day today at least! This is definitely one of their better products as of late. It's a great platform for tweaking and improving, which is a lot of fun for audio people like me.
dude a 3k dac? wtf? my wife would have kicked me out of the house if she knew i spent that much on a dac. god bless your wife. also good to hear all is good with your family.
Lol yeah some of this stuff is pricey for sure. Thanks so much for the kind words, things are improving and I'm hoping for more good news soon. Today was better at least.
Love your channel brother. Glad you are growing. Just wanted to mention there is something up with your mic on this one. Sounds very muted in the treble.
I'm just waiting for apos to make ECC88 tubes at this point, I'd like to get my hands on a pair but I'm not swapping amplifiers to achieve that either. Especially when I otherwise really love my lyr 2.
By far the most informative review of the TA-20 Plus on TH-cam. Out of all the headphone/amp/DAC reviewers/entertainers on TH-cam, I’m by far the happiest to see you review a product I’m interested in. But I do have a bit of a beginner question: I have a class a solid state amp (Schiit Mjolnir 3), and am looking to buy a
Been using this for a month now. Mine is connected to my topping e70 via xlr which is connected to my pc via usb. I get no noise regardless of volume, though I am using the cage. I would say while it does sound tubey, it sounds closer to smooth class a/ab amps like ferrum oor rather than OTC/OTL tube amps like a cayin ha3a.
A lot of great info here. New ro hobby, do you have like a beginners guide for dac/ amp pairing? Running a 6xx (have more phones being shipped) on a q5k and I get clipping, looking to solve that and enjoy more sound :)
i haven't, mainly due to the age of the headset at this point. It would perform pretty poorly with views so I wouldn't get a return on my investment of purchasing it. Sorry!
Hey man I’m new to audiophile amps and DACs I was thinking of getting a and and dac I have Vzr model ones and was wondering what I should get I have also been thinking on getting new headphones mm 100 from audeze what amps or DACs would you recommend for both headphones
Absolutely nothing I would ever game with but tube amps offer a warmth that solid-state DAC / amps can't. While I appreciate my Cayin HA-3A it would be like adding latency to the extreme to Call of Duty. I'll stick with my Schiit's for gaming.
.. If I was going to go with that Chinese company. I would recommend their xDuoo TA-22 DAC/Tube Amp and as far as the extra $150 for the Ray tubes, if they're returnable then I would say sure try them.

Thanks Simon! I think it's one of their better amps to come out lately. It's very flexible with tube rolling and has a hefty amount of power as well

have you ever done a review on the razer tiamat? its weird headset but i have heard its good if set up right.

The new Schiit Hel2+ is the best option for that gear. Awesome form factor and tons of clean sounding power.
@@GadgetryTech do u think I should upgrade to Mm 100 or stick with Vzr model one
Please review the ifi uno, ita a awesome little unit

That will be a lot of fun!
