Just walked past both of these yachts, mooring side by side in STP shipyard, Palma. Staggeringly beautiful!

The next really big J Class regatta will actually be around the America's Cup in New Zealand in early 2021, and 6-7 of the class will be sailing out there for it, all the way across the Pacific after going through the Panama Canal! We are looking forward to the spectacle of full fleet racing

J Boats are the real deal. The modern flying machines cannot hold a candle to the glory and glamour of the J boats.

What speeds are they running? Difficult to tell by the size of the boat.

About 12 knots in 12-15 true wind speeds

This is what I think of when I hear America's Cup racing. Those contraptions they use now don't even look like boats, anymore.

If it weren't for the excessive modern upgrades; metal and carbon everywhere, modern sail materials and let's face it, everything on these vessels, I would love the modern J-class yachts! As they are, they're just a beautiful hull design!

24 people on the rail + however many sailing the boat.
I can't buy one because I don't have that many friends.
