I forget the Bulls roster and that one could have worked out but if I remember that was mostly on the Bulls for trading him and not building around him , after that when you look at those teams If Jimmy stayed I am not sure how well that would have worked out , The 76ers also screwed up that on their own by paying Harris. Jimmy is someone that can be at time hard to deal with but when you look at what he has been able to do in the post season with these Heat teams I have to take Jimmy's side , they have been 1 or 2 good to great players away from being able to go on a title run.
In short , he might be tough to get along with but he wants to win a title and has not had a roster around him to make it happen. He knows his age , I think he is making this push because it will be his last chance at it and The Heat do not seem like they are anywhere close right now. Honestly I am surprised he has stayed on the The heat this long.

Even then, he fell out enough to get himself traded, then did it again in Minnesota and Philadelphia. Everywhere he has been, drama followed. Now he's paying for it and I have zero sympathy for him.

@@WTC-1990 he was donating bone marrow to his dieing father, and the warriors organization was well informed about it and agreed to keep the situation between them and wiggs. (also explains his down year as giving bone marrow is incredibly physically taxing) This year he has been back to his al-star year level in every category, and the teams most consistent player. He is also a more reliable floor spacer than butler, and a better point defender, and rebounder. The only thing butler is better at is shot creation, so at best, this is a wash, except you end up with a more expensive player by 25 mill per year, that is also much older, and leaving his prime.....no thanks on that. This would be a terrible trade for the warriors which is why its not going to happen....its not about picks or any other compensation, its simply about in order to make it work, you would have to lose wiggs, and you wouldn't get any better.

That was a separate Warriors trade if they acquired Jimmy. I didn't do a three-team trade from that aspect, but it would be tough for Miami/Bulls to do a trade since they would both be valuing the same type of trade targets. After a Jimmy trade, it becomes clearer what type of moves Miami could make.

This is a cultural thing with the NBA, so the problem or fault will always fall on the players because they are under contract and usually making a lot of money (48 million this year and 50 million next year), so the reality is that they (the players) owe it to the organization, the city, and especially the fans for you (the players) to give it all to honor their own names and their contracts but of course that is too much to asked of them to do because they want more money? And for what in this case? For not playing enough during the season and for two NBA finals appearances? Last time I checked, you play for championships and for your availability to your teammates and not for appearances….the reality is that you have a better chance to play as hard as you can possibly can to be traded because when you are playing great, what team is not going to want to pay you more? What team that you can be traded to is not going to want to? This way, you also show your current team what they are going to miss when the organization trades you.
