Well they wouldn't trade him and not willing to pay him. What do they want? I would be piss to. They should've traded him before all this came out since his value was high. He made enough money so at this point, it's all principal for him.
@@jasez8812 Uhm, they want him to play out his contract like every professional is supposed to? It was definitely a mistake not trading him last summer but he's getting paid 50 mill this year and 50 mill next year if he opts in. He should play out his contract and if he plays like it he could get that 60 mill contract from somewhere else in the league. Now nobody except the Suns really want him because they're as desperate as a team can get. And no, the fact that he's willing to push his way to a new franchise to get a new contract means it's all about the money. He's just willing to lose some money now to get a new contract and get 10s of millions more in the long run.
except they are not paying him a role player’s money. he’s getting tons of money. and can opt in for another year. he wants more? then play and got to show he is still worth of that money.🤷
@@joeasuncion2891 That's the thing. They already know how this would played out. They still didn't managed it well. This is not just a 'Jimmy Butler' thing, this happened across the league with other players as well.

Yeah jimmy obviously just cares about his next pay check. Sad because hes perfect for Miami too had tho.
Jimmy wanted that "loyalty" contract. The Kobe contract. The pay me for everything that i've done for the franchise contract. The let's give our aging, declining star one last pay day. Unfortunately, like Draymond said: "You ain't Kobe. They don't love you like that."
Thats a win. It showcases how the Team and Fans deep down always felt about him anyway and gives him the opportunity to join a contender. Miami cant give him the bag or a ring
It's really sad his ego is that big and that he is jealous of Herro. Duncan and Nowitzki would take less money and gladly turn the keys over to parker/Leonard/doncic.
@BLACKSTA361no. He wants money so he wants the suns. They’re not going anywhere in the playoffs. He doesn’t give an about winning. Just a max extension
@@soliquidsnake3990 I said if you cant give him a ring the lesst hed want is the bag right? Miami cant give him either.

As Raylan Givens said, "if you meet an asshole in the morning, you met an asshole. If youre meeting assholes all day, youre the asshole"
The common factor in all of Butler's drama (in Chicago, Minnesota, the end of the Philly run, and now Miami) is him
I like that but I don't think he's an asshole. He's a true alpha athlete who has often made bad organizational decisions. He thought Miami would reward him, kinda like Dame, and when they didn't he stayed instead of demanding a trade. I don't follow the heat so I don't know his contract history but it seems like he's been in this position for like 6 years. That's crazy. No on to really look at but himself and I think Pat Riley is full of shyt but he's just part of the situation.
Riley shaq Bron Wade n now Jimmy
@@JjbTy-p8v The real miss was on Bron. Not giving Shaq money was the right move. Not giving Wade his money was a rude move but if we're talking strictly from a basketball point of view it was the right move. Jimmy is not going to be worth 60 mill when he's going to be 38 so it's also the right move. Not getting Bron to resign and not being able to attract KD were the biggest misses of Riley's career.
@@joeasuncion2891 Bron tried to get Spo fired. That's why he left Miami. Jimmy won't get away with anything like that. Besides which, he doesn't have the same pull as prime Jimmy never mind prime Lebron. I expect a whole lot of teams will lowball the guy after Riley lets him walk.
Nahhh. I mean jimmy is Jimmy but he is a true alpha. The asshole in this equation is every single one of these teams stopped believing in him by not wanting to pay him. The Teams are the assholes. They literally rewarded a player who by definition of his shot selection is inconsistent. That’s not championship material.
Pat Riley always seemed like a VIP from squidgame.
Riley logic: We dont want to pay this old declining guy after 2025. But in a trade, we want 2 young good players and 3 First Round picks for Butler in return. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
Literally every team with aging stars they want to get rid of
@ So seems it.
it makes sense if the heat is trading him to a contender team. Young good players on those teams are really not that good (compare to those on weaker teams) and the first round picks are often at the end of the round.
its called taking advantage of anybody with what you have
Tf the details of what the heat want haven’t been fully reported stop pulling it out you ass
Jimmy Butler: "I want to see myself get my joy back from playing basketball"
Reporter: "How do you see that happening if you don't see that happening here?"
Jimmy Butler: "I see that happening in an office, I'm sitting in a chair while signing a contract that says ~$60million per season for multiple seasons."
The aging Butler is definitely not worth that.
@@xtbum3339 Someone paid Klay 50 mill for 2 years. Draymond resigned for 100 mill plus and he aint doing half what Butler has done in the past 5 years.
all 3 of butler , donkey green and klank thompson are not worth that kind of money.
@ How long is the Green contract? BTW he's on the injury list.
4 years
I do think it’s worth adding that in the very same press conference, Pat Riley called out Tyler Herro for being “fragile” and not available enough. This year he’s only missed one game and made his first all-star team.
I would actually be more curious about your thoughts on Bam’s role and performance this year since he’s having arguably his worst offensive season since becoming a starter in 2020.
I didn't know Tyler Herro carried the Heat to a finals.
@@hamsterbrigadeIn fact if Tyler did anything in either 2022 or 2023 they might have a ring now. But so far he either dissappears like he did in 2021, 2022 or 2024 or hes injured like in 2022, 2023.
How tf is your Rookie Year your best playoff performance to date😂😂
@ He didn’t…because he broke his hand in the first round. Hence Riley’s comments about his fragility (though I think it’s not fair to criticize Herro for that injury since it was a freak accident). His and Jimmy’s prior accomplishments aren’t really relevant here.
When players get paid they don't have as much drive
Duncan Robinson has more playoffs moments than him and he's getting the bag and Jimmy's role😅 i will be mad too if the Heat rewarding Bam and Herro max contracts for playing below average in the playoffs and not getting extension, i will understand anything that favoring him if only he play in the finals against the Nuggets but chose to sit out and let the Heat get demolished😅

How is this video longer than these two sentences:
- He didn’t get the money he wanted.
- He’s Jimmy Butler and this is what he always does.
EDIT: For the humorless, this is called a joke. I don't mind breakdowns of the obvious, such as watching detailed breakdowns of Amber Heard's testimony. Yes, she's unhinged and it's obvious she's a cancer. But those videos are fun for to watch for me. I get it. I just think it OBVIOUS Jimmy Butler isn't cool. AND this is one of two basketball channels worth watching on TH-cam.
-Pat Riley made no improvements in the roster Jimmy carried to the Finals in 2023 and ran it back for the 5th time while Teams like New York, Boston, Cleveland, Milwaukee keep getting stronger.
Its that simple really. If im not gonna win anything the least i can do is get paid is what jimmy is prolly thinking. Little does he know hell get neither in Miami
Nah the video was good and included nuances
So basically you haven't been watching and believe whatever ESPN reports huh...how INSANELY casual of you
@BLACKSTA361 All those teams you've mentioned have lottery picks and assets to actually trade. Boston still reaps the benefits from trading KG and Pierce (and not signing Isiah Thomas), NY and Cleveland were ass for a long time and, Bucks gutted their champion roster just to get Lillard. The Heat simply overachieved these last few years with what little they have.
@BLACKSTA361how did Milwaukee keep getting stronger? They havent been near that 2022 championship team for some time now. NY and Boston indeed made very good moves. Miami also made moves but not very good ones (Lowry, rozier) and got cheap vets that didn't thread the needle (Richardson, Bryant, love). They also really misfired on the duncan Robinson contract.
Herro has been the heats only elite (or even good) player offensively this season. Jimmys issue isn’t about that
When two uncontrollable egos clash, they clash. They get along up to when they don't. And Riley and Jimmy are both uncontrollable. If Jimmy got his pay he wouldn't have a problem with Riley saying "shut up." But since this isn't the case, Jimmy's tolerance level just shifted lower.
@@younglove3362 i dont blame him. Just wish he handled it differently and just played the year out then join a contender. Because like this hes ruined his reputation. And a washed guy like Pat Riley was not worth doing that whatsoever
Jimmy has elite efficiency offensively this season too. And he still is the most positive impact player for the heat when he is playing(even when he is ‘not trying’).
Obviously Jimmy issue isn’t about that. It is about he wants his big vontract and Pat will never give it to him. He doesn’t even give that to Wade. Just two man that wants completely different thing crashing with each other.
@BLACKSTA361
Nope, that's the passive way to do it. I think he did it just fine. "Y'all don't wanna extend my payment after what I did for Y'all? Fine, trade me. Y'all don't wanna trade me? Fine, I'm not giving you my 100% efforts." Simple as that. Y'all make it seem like Jimmybwas always the problem. He wasn't a problem in the beginning in Chicago and he was not a problem when he got the Heat into the finals 2 of his last 3 years. Y'all just counting the negative and act like Jimmy didn't prove to be right after coming to Miami. He's also proving to be right in Miami again, seeing as Shaq, LeBron, and Wade left for the exact same reasons. Issues with Pat Riley.
@BLACKSTA361 There's a likelihood a contender or any other team does the same thing as Miami and says he's not worth it, because of his age and the unequal return of investment in paying him long-term. It's why he wants the extension, it's guaranteed stability for a guy who may not see that offer in the open market if he opts out or hits free agency after opting in for the last year.
I never liked him since the Bulls days because I'm a Rose fan. You can tell that he put in the hardwork to get to where he is but he also has a little dog barking issue where he wants to make sure people know he is important.
Exactly! And people keep dickriding Butler for some reason acting like he hasn’t been doin some foolish shit lately.
Bro needs to shut up, and figure out how to age gracefully.
The problem is there’s idiots who think he should get paid the max but also complain that Pat Riley hasn’t put another star to pair him with. You can’t have both with this CBA. It’s literally impossible. Unless you’re willing to let Bam and Herro go.
@adolfocastillo6254 yeah, that's why people arguing for one side or the other make no sense. It's just a series of bad negotiations of business that are spilling out publicly.
60% of basketball fans either do not understand NBA salary cap, or have zero understanding of basic economics.
It was a front-office problem. They should've worked it out with him behind closed door. You've seen great orgs doing that with their players. Miami is doing too much just to publicize that this is part of their 'Culture', like no dude, people at your workplace aren't your family lol and is not going to take a pay cut to work there.
@jasez8812 lol. Jimmy is the problem as always. He's the one who wants a special deal. Reiley wants to win.
@@mileshall9235 Nai. Miami has an horrible reputation is always departing in bad terms with their stars. They're not likely going have big free-agent signing anytime or have they been able to get any major free-agents period. Both could be right, Miami not doing it right, and Jimmy not being overly professional and throwing tantrum.
This is a strange Jimmy Butler hit piece... 2:44 you say "The fact remains he's broken down in the playoffs enough times to make the Heat consider him unreliable." In 2024 he missed all 5 games due to injury, in 2023 he missed 1 of 23, in 2022 he missed 1 of 18, in 2021 and 2020 he missed 0 playoff games. So that's just a flat out lie unless you consider only last season which sometimes players get injured?
All I see everywhere is people crying about the drama of Jimmy Butler, who cares? If all you care about is drama go watch a drama show. When he balls he's one of the best players in the league? He makes everyone on his teams better. How many people in the league could have led those mediocre, borderline lottery teams to 2 finals? Now Miami is suspending him, benching him, etc. If he's your best player and your trying to make the playoffs why are you doing all this even if he's unhappy? If he gives you a better shot to win put him out there, hell if you really want to punish him, put him out there for 48 minutes a game, get every last ounce out of him before you lose him. They are being extremely petty with all of this suspending stuff and it's costing the Heat games. The only reason to suspend him is to keep him healthy before you trade him.
He passes, he rebounds, he defends, he's one of the most efficient players in the league (mostly because he gets a ton of fouls because of his aggressive playstyle.). His PPG are down so people think he's washed but when has PPG ever been a good stat to see how good a player is? His WS/48 are still insanely high, his true shooting% is one of the highest of his entire career, he's still getting Free-throws per attempt at wild rates. So why do people think he's washed? Because his usage is down? Is that not a team/coaching issue? Get your star player the ball.
People complain about Free-Throw merchants while no one says anything about Jimmy who gets to the line on a higher % than Joel Embiid. On reddit about a month ago someone made a list of the biggest free throw merchants and number 1 was James Harden. James harden is getting to the line on 43% of his FG attempts. Jimmy Butler gets to the line on 61% of his FG attempts. Think of how many extra points and and 1's Jimmy Butler is getting from this PF playstyle and 8:17 you even show him complaining that the team wants to put him in the corner. He's getting 1.61 points per attempt playing PF and getting a ton of free throws with his playstyle and now they want him to stand in the corner, shoot 3s and create space? The number one team in the league, Cleveland is getting 1.21 points per possession and Miami wants to take their 1.61 points per attempt PF and put him in the corner? I'd be pissed too.
At least after he gets traded, a couple months from now we will get all the TH-camrs making videos saying Jimmy Butler is actually still good and all the comments will be positive instead of all of this hate that has been put out over the last month.
He's good, just not professional.

As a Heat fan it sucks seeing this situation unfold but you have to admire how Jimmy pulls for himself when it comes to contract negotiation. I would love for the Heat to keep him but at this point the best decision is to trade him for some value if he genuinely doesn't want to be in Miami.

I'm only 4 minutes in, but my initial reaction to this video is that it is a bit of a shocking hit piece against Butler - while you aren't wrong about the drama he brings, Pat Riley has absolutely failed to create a winning roster and the only reason why the Heat have had any post season success is due to Butler.
"Jimmy seems to indicate teams coaching is making him play this way but I feel like Jimmy has carte blanche to do what he wants".... Dudes biased man.
They went to the finals TWICE. They had the roster, they just never got over the hill.
you can think the heat failed but what does that have to do with quitting on your team ON the court
@ You're clearly not watching the games. Remove Butler from both runs and there is no playoff success. I shouldn't have to say this.
@ThinkingCap_ you guys act like Jimmy did it all himself. The role players played way better than they usually did in the post season like Caleb Martin way outperformed wat anyone expected. Their final runs were more of a whole team thing then jimmy butler by himself.

Had they brought mitchell to the equation, these conditions would not have existed....and the heat would have been a final contender again. But riley and spo's era is over....if the heat wants another championship, pat riley's ego and spoel's dependence on stars need to go, not jimmy butler. Herro and Bam are good but they are not playoff or finals material. They went to sleep in the finals.... I remember it was Jimmy bucket and Duncan Robinson that carried the Heat so they dont embarrased themselves in front of the lakers. HEAT ..wake up!!!
Guys, watch the whole video. Jimmy Butler is a professional, while Tyler Herro is efficient and deserves his credit. It is on Spo and the coaching staff, and yes, Pat Riley on roster building.
i honestly feel like most of the fault relies on pat riley cause he said that he would teambuild the Heat into an automatic contender team while Jimmy is here.
That means getting the Heat Dame, Giannis, Curry , ANY MVP candidate that can act as a number 2 for Butler. It is hard to say that a team wont make it to the playoffs if you have 2 sub MVP level players on the team at a time, right? Right.
lol I’m still not paying jimmy 60mil lmao
@ yes you are correct. it is also Jimmy's fault cause.... let us be honest: Jimmy is not worth 60 mill a year. He is far too old nowadays. Far too injury prone. He is also a little bit slower. He isnt the same Jimmy we had in 2020. Jimmy just has to accept that if he wants another go at a championship he probably wont be making 60 mill a year. There is jothing wrong with taking less money just to win a championship. Kevin Durant and Tim Duncan took smaller cheques so they could keep certain teammates on their teams.

Great breakdown. Shows how a lot of the blame is shared between a bunch of these people, not just Jimmy, and the insight about disconnect in play style between the modem Herro and Jimmy is an intruiging thought
I think that last point is the only one that matters. Butler is a good player but I don't know where he's going to go and be happy; both in terms of it being a good fit for his personality, what he wants contractually, and how successful the team could be.
Your best player is playing 3rd option to Herro and Adebayo. Then getting benched. Jimmy is too good for that and you can tell he’s arguing that too, he’s always been very big on himself and doesn’t get pushed around.
If he’s our best player offensively then maybe he should also act like it in the regular season. Herros putting up 24-5 on 47% from the field
That's what happens when you are a cancer to team with your petulant, egotistical tantrums. At least in well-run organizations. Maybe he would get his joy back on a team that let him bitch out on the team whenever he gets in his feels.
@@alexescutia4805And once the playoffs come around hell dissappear like he always does. Putting herro in the same sentence as Butler when he hasnt even had a single good Playoff Series since his rookie Year is crazy work.

It’s clear you don’t watch Miami Heat basketball. Also, they did not wait 2 or 5 hours on the tarmac for Jimmy as was reported.
Whether 2 or 5 hours is irrelevant. You don't no-call no-show on your team while they wait. He could've just said 'I'm not coming' rather than wasting everyone's time like it has less value than his. Bottom line, Jimmy's a special talent but he's also toxic and childlike, having never learned to articulate his point/position in a positive manner w/out sabotaging everything around him.
@@GunninRebel55 You misunderstood. He didnt say they waited 2 instead of 5 hours, he said, they didnt wait either 2 or 5 hours. It was a single guy (Channing Frye) who claimed a waiting time. That's not a fact. And if anyone believes that Spoelstra waited hours for Butler you are naive.
@@maxmeier532 If the Heat were lying about any aspects of Jimmy's suspension, the players association would be all over the Heat's ass yet they are sitting this one out.

truth is Pat Riley never trusted Jimmy. D.wade got to an ECF and he immediately put a good team around him so he could compete. Jimmy took them to two finals and the old man still refused to get him some real help instead of those undrafted bums. so here he is, wasted 5 years of his prime and no good deal on the horizon, I would be pissed too.
this isn't about help, this is about Jimmy wanting a max contract extension. If competing were the issue he wouldn't be demanding to go to Phoenix.
Undrafted bums? They were what helped get them get that far. The heat were just a little train that could ass team. Not an absolute carry job from Jimmy. They couldn’t trade for anything because of the lack of picks and realistic assets in general. Had a chance at trading herro but they didn’t and that decision might help in the future after jimmy’s tantrum ends.
@@chrisbarnett5303It is about help. If jimmy butler thought hed be able to win with thos roster in the next two years youd think he would pull all this? The landscape has changed a lot since 2023 where he carried them to the Finals.

Jimmy wants more money and same ball time, Tyler hooped last year and Jimmy got hurt, Pat is a low baller on the money and doesn't believe in Jimmy as a star so he paid Tyler while thinking JB is too old for max. That's all folks.
Hey Coach, just curious, do you think Jimmy might be playing like a power forward in the 90s?
Butler has pulled this stunt before. The Heat are obviously looking for a good return.
Super Click Bait video. Jimmy wants to get paid, he quit, again. Showing Tyler Herro's misses is disingenuous, shooters miss..
Great video
That keep your mouth shut thing Pat Riley said would have me wanting out of there too.
Everyone with the right eyes can see the Butler is quiet quitting, doing the bare minimum.
Jimmy inherited this attitude. His dad always treated Jerry Krause like crap.
03:31 It's not rediculing, it's a signal to team mates that the rebound won't be off the rim
with that hairstyles I wouldn't give him money too. Good call from Pat.
I'd be happy if Pat Riley send this drama queen to EURO League.
Noone respected jimmy true his wholle carrer
Only his jocksniffing cheerleaders
Why is a random ass law firm sponsoring a bballbreakdown video 😂. Very curious to see what audience they think they’re targeting
Lol
One thing I'd add is that Wiggins had just received a max contract even though he isn't that type of player, they paid him based on potential and unwillingness to lose him for nothing in FA. Seeing the likes of KAT and Wiggins getting the money they were getting he wanted to get paid too, but clearly the team chemistry just wasn't going to resolve itself for it to happen
I don’t get it jimmy was only hurt in 1/4 post seasons. He’s gotten us to 2 finals. It’s honestly Tyler hero who’s been hurt
Tyler Herro over me?!
He keeps up with that attitude, soon enough, he'll find his joy for basketball in the CBA!
You know that is wrong. You know there are a bunch of NBA teams trying to get him. It's just Riley holding out.
He’s going to retire and eventually be in the HOF, championship or not he will be remembered. Tyler herro on the other hand? He’s peaked already
Jimmy just following orders to let herro n bam be the primary offense
Everyone is going to flame me for this but I agree with Jimmy. Yes the way he's behaving is wrong but the initial thing that set this whole thing off is statement Jimmy made about sending Boston and NY home if he played right? But wait, it wasn't a statement, it was someone recording him having a conversation with friends. Why did Riley have to comment on that? It wasn't his business. Jimmy didn't go to the press and say this.
@@weswith316s Still no reason for Riley to comment on it. Jimmy was just talking shit at a party, he even had a drink in his hand so he was at least likely possibly drunk. Pat should have ignored it.
Because he's a player for the Heat. It literally is their business when an employee is saying what his impact to the organization is and it is made public. It brings unwanted and unwarranted scrutiny to the organization, from their viewpoint. Any business will do that, because he is associated with their organization and he is making public statements about them, ultimately.
Jimmy also likes this level of accountability, so for him to take that comment from Riley so negatively, as you claim, is ridiculous and counter to a lot of what we know about him. He is known for public accountability. That was his issue in Chicago, that was his issue in Minnesota. This is nothing new for Par Riley or the Heat and it's why Jimmy there.
It’s a business decision I understand that. Especially with horrible contracts out there like Beal and Simmons to name a few. Does jimmy deserve a Max? Not at this point but they should pay him a good amount. It’s just telling young players that play hard but don’t get injured, can’t have both
slam dunk contest idea: jumping over Jimmy on the dunker's spot
Sorry Jimmy, while you're a great player you're not the caliber of Magic, Wade, Shaq, Kareem, or Bron and Riley has come out on top dealing with all of them.
Your loss, you wont find a better basketball situation than Miami.
Like the Shanghai Sharks. Find your joy in China Jimmy!
Better basketball situation? The knicks, the bucks, the celtics and cavs are all light years ahead of current Miami

I’m sure the feeling is more than mutual
Bro is gonna have no teams line up for him. I'll be surprised if anyone wants him for bread crumbs at this point. Look at your age and stay humble.
Jimmy Butler: The modern NBA is a crash grab and i'm the ultimate troll.
Owners: We pay you to undermine the NBPA then...
NBA: We're in. For the ratings.
Jimmy: Deal.
Pat Riley: Showtime!
Vets in the league know they can "semi retire" in Phoenix. The best trainers, warm weather, soft front office. And they overpay.
Disagree on him ridiculing Bam on the shot. He was probably calling it short for a potential offensive rebound.
I'm for pat Riley.
He’s done this shit with bulls, sixers, twolves, now heat. They should buy him out to bring him back to reality
I love that you note the missed calls by the refs. one of the biggest problems of the nba right now if you ask me
lol, thx.. but they are the best in the world and get an incredible percentage of calls correct
Butler is delusional
I wonder what would have happen if he simply honored his multi-million dollar deal to play basketball. What is Jimmy simply played his heart out and let the world see his greatness. Instead, he has made a mess of this situation and it will only get worse.
WTF, TH-cam had automatically unsubscribed me from bballbreakdown for some reason!!! This is crazyyyyy
I would love to see more players getting suspended without pay. I used to be a Butler fan - not anymore.
Butler is like no other player I have ever watched.
Loved him. Then hated.
Then loved him. Then hated.
Then loved him. Then hated.
Then wondered if he should be in the GOAT conversation? And now hate him again.
You sound like a terrible person with no character of your own to stand on
Who tf is putting Butler in GOAT conversations? His cousins?
Maybe you should ask him for a date.
Answer: Because Jimmy Butler wants a max extension and no reasonable team will give that to a declining 25-year-old star who is constantly injured.
Every time these teams stop believing in him, he stops believing in the team. Like Clockwork. If you Believe in him and support him he will reward you with going so hard. This isn’t that difficult tbh
Pat riley is right about this one. Why would they give jimmy tons of money knowing he'll sit a lot because of injuries? Stop giving these divas their candies.
Why hire them in the first place? Dont hire superstars
Riley is old and couldn't bring anyone in to Help Jimmy... Nobody cares for Riley and that's a fact
Treat him like a role player, he'll play like a roll player. Fair is fair.
People blaming Jimmy are mouth breathers. Dude carried this bum franchise and they pay 6man Herro and Bam the Bum
Absolute lunacy
You and Jimmy Muppets should pull your skirt up.
This bum franchise has been to more nba finals than any team post 2000 and the only franchise Jimmy ever made even a conference final with. He’s had plenty help to get there. Go root for your bum ass franchise 🫤
@@rickeysmiley1055facts lmao

Kyle "Caked Up" Lowry??

@@rickeysmiley1055what Help. A catch and shoot player from Kentucky?? A non center who can't score in Big Games!!! Who, what all-star?? What great player??
7:07 Is it illegal to catch your own shot if it’s deemed a legitimate shot attempt?
Yes, if it doesn't hit anything between you putting it up for a shot and you catching it, it's a travel.
@ seen the refs not call it on Giannis because they deemed it a shot attempt and it didn’t hit anything.
@@Jaywrites23 yeah, that's just common NBA referee inconsistencies when it comes to star treatment vs role players, or just that individual refs interpretation of the rules. It's also why Jimmy wasn't called in the example of the video, but usually that's a travel. It's also why some players will get called for traveling while others don't, or fouls, or any other types of calls. Just par for the course on the issues with refs/umps/judges in sports, especially when it comes to stars.
Jimmy can never be the main player on a championship team. He obviously should go where theres a team good enough and a real superstar being the main guy. I think curry and he would work well together imo. That’d be fun to watch and see what would would actually happen
"Im a celebrity dog, get me out Arf here!"
Please cover what's happening with the blazers in the last few weeks to months and the Deni Avdija effect there 🙏
After his first adjustment month in the blazers, the team just plays more beautiful bbal when he's on court, and everybody passes more when he manages the offense, esp the past two months. Something's happening there.
This man gave every ounce of sweat for the heat, and then they say shutup, do what we say, cause Pat Riley is perfect. Jimmy a grown man, so he don't need me to defend him. Yet, at the same time, this happens time and time again, so it is nothing new under the sun.
Yet, Jimmy does have to figure out what he wants in his basketball career from here. He is a very gifted person; not a perfect person.
Don’t give in Heat. Let him enter the summer as a free agent.
Simple answer: Beacause Jimmy always burns down the house.
Big question: Does Jimmy have the foresight to humble his aging self and realize, like Westbrook has, that he IS now a role player.
Bro respectfully, how you gonna have personal injury attorney ads on your videos?
No team wants a locker-room cancer. Let alone pay an injury prone 35-year-old a MAX contract. This issue will take centerstage in then next CBA. We may have a term like "The Butler Rule" enter our vocabulary.
As much as I love Jimmy I have no sympathy for him in this situation. If all you wanted was a max you came to the wrong team. You went to a owner who let two superstars walk instead of paying them
He went to the correct team though? They paid him for 5 years and it was Miami so he didn't get taxed as much on it, so he got his money. Unfortunate the way he's going out in Miami especially since he led a lottery team without him to 2 NBA finals appearances. Miami fans should be thanking him for 5 good years, but fans are big babies so instead they cry about him leaving when he wants to get paid even though there is maybe 5 players in the league who could have done what he did in Miami.
He came here for a championship, he realized that Pat Riley doesn’t trust him and doesn’t want to build around him. At the beginning of the video it was mentioned that Butler wanted to have a good season to have a paycheck, so the heat purposely lowered his usage rate to kill his efforts at playing at a high level, that’s the true reason why Jimmy is mad. I would be mad too if my team refuses to build around me and also refuses to pay me lol
Amazing player, fought through a lot in his career but he has proven time and time again he turn sour after a while
They should include this drama in that netflix series, starting 5 haha 😅
This is how he was acting in Minnesota. Like an entitled child. Not the level of maturity I would want to pay millions to.
Heat fans on Reddit talking about he not playing hard lmao. That’s how I know people don’t be watching the games.
I’m not a basketball coach, but playing Jimmy as a PF sounds dumb no matter who does it.
