I admit that the nanmu carno looks gorgeous and i could say that in terms of coolness, it's better than hammond's. However, hammond coll. carno is more movie accurate, that doesn't mean it's better. Just my opinion, i respect yours
These two are absolutely stunning. A great review as always. If Nanmu ever does an Indoraptor (I doubt they can sadly, as it is a property of Universal), I would buy it so quickly. OH WAIT I forgot they had made one and an Indominus. So there is still hope.

Wow! Nanmu is quickly becoming one of my favorite companies in regards to dinosaur articulated figures. I'm not a fan of Carno but, these, I might make an exception and get one. I'd really like the black one. I love the scars on its face.
I'm super excited to be getting the Male Demon Carno figure in my collection along with the Mattel Demon Carno. both were pre-ordered for quite a while and are a dream come true for me. ^-^
I love this "smart Series" figures. The Raptors are so so good, the both Carnos are on the way to me. Also pre-ordered the V-Rex and the new Raptors :D I´m in for everything hahahaha
Smaller dinos are going to be 1/12. Largers dinos will be 1/35th. The demensions of the figures are stated before you purchase the figures, or can be found online easily.
from what I've looked up Andy, it says and I quote: "Demon is a male Carnotaurus, first cloned on Isla Sorna by InGen in 1987." it's also listed that he was born on September 1989 and as an adult is roughly 10.6 Metres. so, the adult Demon Carno from FK/Dominion is not only officially Male, but was originally cloned, born, and raised on Isla Sorna since the late 80's.

I do really love these dynamic figures, my only worry is that they seem to be rushing to get them out, when it seems they are still figuring out how to do it. I do appreciate how hard they are trying though.
Acording to the Jurassic World DPW site the different color on the carnotaurus isn't a sexual dimorfphism, they just have diffenent colorations just as it happens with the allosaurus where you have the "adult and juvenile styles" that actually are different and it´s not their age what changes their look

@@toonrex2806 except that doesn't matter because it's already been confirmed as male during the release of JWD. and no, it's not irrelevant when that's the topic being brought up by this video and some of us are trying to confirm what should already be obvious. plus, they're still depicted as animals and some of them are male. so, it does matter. nobody is comparing dinosaurs to lions or jaguars or leopards. it's important to get this information correctly to prevent false rumors, like when people thought that the Demon was Toro which was such a ridiculous rumor which thank god ended up being false.
it's long been confirmed that the Demon Carnotaurus in JWD with the scars & cracked horn is officially Male. so, there's absolutely no reason to question it any longer Andy. the same can be said for Toro as well.
These are by far better and more stable than the Raptors. That being said, quality wise I've noticed there is pretty noticable differences. Of the 4 raptors i bought, 1 Blood Knight has better ankle articulation and a tighter jaw joint whereas the other is not. Both White Queens are pretty consistant, but both my Carnotaurus' seem to have crooked jaws and my broken horn one has much better torso articulation than the regular color one. Otherwise, small issues, but they are great.
Not a fan of the way they articulated the neck at all! Looks like “rings” hanging around his neck. They should have figured out a way to make them align properly so they don’t look so awkward…like a dilo with their neck frill down.
they're 1/35 scale, nanmu's been clear about that since the beginning. 1/18 is a bad scale for large dinosaurs unless they are cheaply made like Mattel's stuff.
I imagine shipping and stock would be a huge issue in that scale. Mattel can get away with big figures but even they didn't bother with larger Amber collection figures. Understandably, too much hassle.
now that Namu has given us the Male Demon Carnotaurus from Dominion, it's now Mattel's turn to finally give us a Hammond Collection version of this creature. my boy deserves a proper Hammond Collection figure now that Nanmu has delivered us such an awesome figure.
@@batbat4043 it would be awesome to have in my collection. I’m sure Mattel has gotten so many requests if this dinosaur so they should be well aware by now. And if the Raptors can get multiple versions then I’m sure the Carnos can as well.

I've read that Nanmu doesn't have very strong articulation. What can you say about the quality? Due to the reviews on Velociraptors, I'm afraid that I might accidentally break the Carnotaurus, and in my country such toys are quite expensive due to the difficulty of shipping :(
@user-go8uw8bb2q the articulation seems strong to me. I'd actually say more durable than many other similar style figures. Obviously they won't be something you can force around or be very rough with, but I have yet to have any issues at all with their articulation. Definitely some of the best out there when it comes to articulated figures in my opinion.

I really wish i could het into nanmu's smart figure line because their V Rex looks amazing but i just dont like articulated figures. A static model just feels more premium which is why im going with rebors upcoming V rex. Same as why i could never get into beasts of the mesozoic. The whole articulated gaps and clear abnormalities in the sculpt where the figure has to bend just turn me off them sadly. I guess i just prefer a full natural looking figure than one full of articulation points
I agree, I've never been a huge fan of articulated models. These are still stunning though and I can really see the appeal and care put into these. I just hope Nanmu continues with their statue figures because in my opinion they are the best out there for the quality/price.
They're only articulated for people who want to play with them. They look awful. I don't see the point in getting a dino that's well sculpted but then chopped up so you can move its appendages a bit.

The JW Carnotaurus doesn't have sexual dimorphism. In the movies we see 3-4 variants being at least one orange and brown model and two black and red, one from FK and one from Dominion, but then we have Toro that is a slightly different orange and is supposedly a female, and also some green carnotaurus from Chaos Theory and maybe more hidden variants that i don't remember. I've been in this fandom for decades now since i was a kid so of course i know i'm probably gonna receive death threats for saying all this, but it is what it is. JP fans tend to be very entitled to specific opinions and end up ignoring official or sometimes plain obvious facts. But at the end of the day, anything that Universal approves is law so it's up to them to give us the definitive answer.
I am so hyped for this series! My big wish is for an articulated mosasaurus from Mattel or Nanmu.

Agreed. The breaks between the articulation joints should have been closer though I know that would mean a bit less mobility.

i ordered the one with pink stripes, but it hasn't even moved a single bit after a month ( the app allows you to see how far the order is.)
