We had so much fun making this, thanks to everyone who’s watched and for your kind feedback 🤘🏼
It was fantastic, thank you!
So good girls, great lead guitar. Class.
This is so freakin' fantastic !
Reminds me of Patti Smith and Clash version - in the most terrific way! Carrying on the punk fascination with this as a show closer!
💯❤😎👍
Rock n Roll is safe with talent like this
Only in Ireland. Keep that Celtic Magic Alive!!! - Gorgeous Ladies ...
This drummer is so on point!!
Love the bell bottom trousers on the singer. Reminds me of my youth and, in this case, of beauty indeed.
Superb
VERY few people realise this WAS actually written by Van Morrison. Most of us older folks just remember the huge hit it was when Shadows of Knight did it back in about 1966. EVERY garage band had this in the repertoire back in the day-- we ALL played this.
Super job Dea Matrona-- you blew us all away!
Yes, in 64 Bside for "Baby please don't go":
It was Van Morrison with Them. Right? It wasn't a solo song, but with the group Them. I was just a kid in the 60s but I had two older sisters and grew up with music always on.
Young! Beautiful! Talented! Everything will work out! Good luck!
wonderful, giving the Original that " this loose
, and rough " ... nailed it !
Great example of what a hot trio can do with a great song!
Incredibly talented, and beautiful.
Beautiful, thoughtful expansion of Ren's vision.
Killer job, ladies! I'll take nothing away from the bass, lead or vocals, but Maimie was absolutely tearing it up on the drums! Wow! I played that song many times back in the 60s, with my group "The Reason Why." It is fast moving on the lead guitar.
Great stuff!
I am part Irish. I live in Canada. family from Carrick-on Shannon and 73 years old. These 3 gals are the real deal. I will spend my final years listening to them. They totally get the seventies and classic rock.
Sang in a band back in the late sixties. This song had everyone on the floor dancing. You guys nailed it. 👍🏼
- Awesome,The BesT Cover of Girls Band From This Clasics...~☺👩🏻🎨🎸
perfect drum play and sync with bass
One of my favourite Van the Mans songs..
Good...well done, enjoyed it.
I've seen these girls many times busking in Belfast and heard them a lot on TH-cam. I absolutely love what they do, coming from an old hippy lol.
Nigel, I am envious of your experience seeing the ladies live.
Nigel...I'm 70 yrs old here in Canada...NEVER travelled except by train...I have had a life long gripping fear of flying...tried it once 40 yrs ago.
That said god as my witness I'm going to fix it and get to Ireland ! As soon as this world recovers I must see these girls play live before I die.
Just stunning x
Badass talent!!! Found this group accidentally and I'm hooked!!!
This cover is exquisite - as close to perfection as you can get. And I can't stop listening to it...
Magical!
They've got a magic!
Brilliant, arguably the best girl band I’ve ever come across
Check out The Warning from Mexico. 👍🇩🇪what do you think?
Runaways
Strange Kind of women. Deep purple tribute band form Italy take a lot of beating.. but these are real musicians and no mistake. they could headline anywhere.
@@ralex3697 Runaways had some great tracks..Joan Jet amazing song writer
Look out for the surfragettes
just love this video , best I've seen of you ladies , you really open up , look good , sound good , all the best.
Well done. The music is in good hand ladies.
Very good you will go a long way
Excellent groove!
Totally bad ass keep up the great work.
The future of rock and roll.
we can only hope
That’s a sad though. A re-hashed cover done by people who worked harder on their camera presence than on their vocals. If that’s the future, then no thanks.
..more like the past
drummer so cool & beautiful & good rhythm🎸🎶🎤😃PEACE & love 👀🌈
Wow! To pull off a cover like this from “Van the Man” as good as you have, is quite something. Respect!
you girls are gonna go far....
Ladies , this is excellent well done
Gloria of the Them is wonderful covered by these female players
Keep on working cause your job is amazing....
Some groups of any gender are pretty faces, then some are very talented but very few are both pretty faces and talented. When you watch a trio and you don’t know who’s the best you know they must be good.
I don't know how many times I've watched this still love it
Me too…lol
Whaou!!!!!! Van Morrison doit adorer...
Takes courage to do a version of Gloria. You not only did it superbly but did it in your own fresh way. Made me feel alive and I praise you for that Dea Matrona!
In deference to these amazing talented musicians...... f......g brilliant!
These girls are getting closer and closer to hitting the big time.
I really hope so.
..not doing covers like this they wont, just pubs, weddings and amateur talent shows.
Great cover of a garage band favourite from ‘64
A must-learn song for every 60s garage band. Good job ladies!
Amazing angels just keep getting better
Raw and great.
Unbelievable... these girls are unreal. Great cover.
Northern Irish in New Zealand and Lovin’ it 😎👍
Awesome job 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
Nice group...
Thank you for sharing...
WOW
THEY GOT THE BEAT ❤
that was excellent ladies But that drummer is so Smooth and beautiful I love her playing style!!
✔👍👌
Love this version
Love this song these chicks rock!
How exciting for the band that their version of Gloria is on the latest Irish Songbook. I had to buy it.
Beautiful and talented up the wazoo! She is an icon! Always loved Rita. Always. I had such a crush on her.
They're all stunning ... but the drummer is from another place - Galaxy of the Gorgeous....
Thanks for the fresh air !
BOOOOMMM, nothing else to say, speechless. Another classic
These girls are the real deal. The future is right in front of you ....
An inspired cover by the Fab 3. Instrumentals in the original are there to underscore the vocals, but DM have transformed them with a dynamic, upbeat rendition. Here the music is telling the story just as much as the lyrics.
The song is about a night to remember and Orlaith's beguiling vocals, with a twinkle in the eye, gets straight to the point. Mamie's drums march Gloria to the front door. The bass keeps the pulse racing. Topped by Mollie's wonderful lead guitar, improvising the basic chords with some juicy R & B riffs....Gloria is definitely in the room !!
3 young women from County Down have breathed new life into a song written/recorded by a teenager from Belfast nearly 60 years ago. All done in 2mins 20. Perfect.
A meaty bass riff that just won't quit, and a top lead vocal from Orlaith, sprinkled with tasty lead guitar work from Mollie, and all held together by solid drumming from Mamie. This is top notch ladies, very well done.
Let me go and play this to your Aunty Constance xox
EXCELENTE . BRAVO MUCHACHAS .SALUDOS DESDE FRANCIA
Love these girls Freaking awesome!!
You all just make it look so easy when you play a difficult rift and then smile at the camera !!! Grá it.
@1:18 lol
SOOOO Good ! Hope you make it to the USA ...Tuacahn Amphitheatre ! Ivins,UTAH
I love watching you play, you're all really good and your harmonies are awesome!!!
Terrific! I love the way the two guitarists swop lead and base for different numbers: and I hope the drummer did okay in her GCSEs!
Fantastic cover - kickass riffs and drum fills. Excellent bassline too!
I want to Thank God and your parents for making you all so beautiful and talented. I listen to the the Doors ' rendition on my way to work. Now I listen to you all on the way home. You gals ROCK !!!
what Doors rendition is that? Haven't seen any yet
@@motoxbuddy -- The Doors' version... th-cam.com/video/xis84YBN5F0/w-d-xo.html
Wow😱👍 I'm impressed... Greetings from Victorville CA USA 🇺🇸
Watched a few of your videos now, excellent. The bass/ keyboard /guitar player is absolutely gorgeous
GREAT Version of one of my Favs!
Three fine Irish ladies......."WOW".you three "kick ass BIG TINE and sound GREAT, rock on babes. From the USA, Joseph Francis McDonough, hell am Irish as well. ( Boston Irish )
These gurls are gonna conquer the world!
Seriously??
Still waiting?
Bass player from "Crossroads" is now playing guitar. Impressive.
Mollie
A base is tuned to the same four notes as the lower strings on guitar, one octave lower
its like playing the piano and moving your hands one register lower
this is why it was so easy for McCartney to play both
Also Plays keys like a boss. And yes the technique is very different
Wow I did not realize that. Just makes them more interesting
yup they switch off ...very coo l
amazing group ., danken d'drummer
Ace, you girls are great musicians and stunning too.
Absolutely Awesome!
Best new band I have heard in Years!
👍🏼😁🎸😁👍🏼
Next to Door's version this is my favorite. Really, really well done... I keep replaying it.
Did you like the Hendrix version?
Holy Moly! This is beyond great!! Love it!
Undoubtedly you play with feeling, so much feeling here.
You gals are keeping real rock and roll alive!! All of you really great party on!!! 🤘💓
Absolutely Love these Girls...they are soooo Talented...Wish nothing but great things for all of them...Michael
You can't beat real music done by talented musicians! 💚⭐
Ces trois filles fantastiques revisitent magistralement ce classique de Van Morisson.
Brilliant and Irish. Your gona do well. Best of luck you yz.
That is bad ass
Very awesome. Please don't stop doing what you love. It suits you well.
The Dea Matrona Poster goes on the bedroom wall. The Dea Matrona T Shirt gets tucked into my old blue jeans. And the Dea Matrona tunes goes 'round and around in my old square head. Dead On!!!
I'm blown away , such energy and talent. They deserve to make it to the top.
Not many youngsters have this kind of cool!
Because most youngsters are "Look how *I* can shred", "Look how avant-garde *I* am", etc. Me, me, me. These ladies are about making music *together*. Technical skills, which thankfully aren't lacking, and attention-grabbing weirdness, which thankfully is nowhere around, take the backseat to proper music making. And taste!
@@ArturdeSousaRocha yep they actually have music instead of attitude in themselves
there are more than you'd realize, just scout around youtube to find quite a few. the pop scene may be truly awful adn. full talentless rubbish, but there are a lot of bands and. singers lurking on TH-cam. if you ignored pop radio and just watched youtube, you'd feel quite heartened I think.
@@dnmurphy48 I do have many musicians on my list that I saved for watching again. My son is a guitar player that at age 40 something, still collects guitars and has a music room in his house. He chose a science field as his career though.
I love you young ladies ! You all ROCK N ROLL . COME EAST COAST OF AMERICA?
Pas d'autre mots que FORMIDABLE. Perfect ladies
Best version ever!!! Really.
Great song and great playing and singing girls, you will go far ,good luck for the future
Oh Mollie...you are so gorgeous......and your lovely Irish accent........luv from Australia....
Lovely...you are very good
Lovely tone on the guitar and nice fills.
Nice job ladies👍
