Thanks that means a lot as those are all channels I've always learned from as well. You have the white crew cab right? You need to post more pics of it on instagram. That's one of my favorite trucks 👍
Very timely video. My diesel mechanic told me it was a job I could do. His interval was longer (100-125k), but I've seen every interval under the sun. I'm at my 125k and this video popped up!! LOL If it only takes 30 minutes, why not do it more often! Two thumbs up!
The next time the valve lash needs to be done on my 93 12v CC Dodge Ram, I will give it a go. Thank y ou for the video. Keep up the good work and the wonderful videos.

Do you know if anybody have change the original fuel filter (Fleetguard #1232) for a bigger filter with water separator something like FS 1212 and if it fit with no problem. Thanks
I have not seen that done personally. Seems like most guys who want extra filtration go with a fass system. I have seen needed up oil filtration system though.
That's a tough one. Geno's garage and lmc both sell tail lights but I don't think either of them have a smoked option. The best way to do it is mix black paint with clear coat and just give them as many coats as you need till they are dark enough.
decent_1st_gen ok, I think I have seen where people do that. I have been looking at ones on far from stock, but those are really expensive for smoked tail lights, but maybe I just need to deal with it, because I really can't find them anywhere else. I find a bunch of stock tail lights, which I don't have an issue with, but my truck is black and silver, and I think the smoked lights would look better. Thanks for replying, I appreciate it!
@@decentgarage I'm appreciate the video you did a great job but there were some mistakes that I could be critical they are critical for one what is the true clearance on the adjustments on both intake and exhaust valves? If I would have adjusted those valves 1.000 clearance when the metal got hot it could have been direct serious damage metal-to-metal with no tolerance. There's not much there in tappet clearances to begin with! Those settings are quite critical adjust them too tight not only is your engine not going to run but it's going to run very badly and cause damage quickly
Maybe some of these ungrateful people should just go buy a Chiltons manual,I knew he ment to say 10 and 20 thou. And I'm pretty sure everyone else did too

I would love a ramcharger Cummins! Maybe I'll do one myself one day.

this makes me want a first gen lol. second gens you are gonna have one hell of a time getting to number 5 and 6 cylinders.

Well, it's sapost to be ten thousands on intake and twenty thousands on exhaust. You said in the video 1 thousands on Intake and 2 on exhaust.
At 3:20 you said intake clearances is 1 thousandth (not ten thousandths), & exhaust is 2 thousands (not 20 thousandths)

You should really use that timing pin. They can be loose from wear and you can be off and cause you to bend a push rod if you aren’t truly at TDC
