I have a different machine so I was going to warm them first and then put them in the freeze dryer on regular candy cycle. What temperature to warm them in for how long before putting them in the freezer for candy cycle?

hello, my sweets which are well inflated in the freeze dryer deflate as soon as I take them out of the oven, do you know why? do you have to wait to take them out until the freeze dryer cools down?

Wait until the FD is below to 100 degrees. That will keep them from deflating 😊

Oh I think I forgot to say! I had them set for 5 hours and they were perfectly done, I checked on them around the 3 hour mark and they were already puffed up so probably only needed 3 hours or so! But doesn’t hurt them to go longer 😃
