    That’s an outstanding advice!
    Thanks a lot.
    I’m getting a longer hose today to increase the water “reservoir” between the machine and the pump.
    Makes a whole “latte” a sense.
    Thanks again.
    By the way, I’m using the same water brand.
    Great taste so far.

    I'm using a flojet to drive my rotary pump driven machine using a DVA lt8 water softener and I have two questions )
    *Should I or should I not turn the flojet off when ever I turn the machine off? I turn it off currently.
    *isn't the DVA lt8 water softener an "accumulator tank" as well as a water softener device?
    Tnx )

    For the Love of God. Please say what JG fitting you used to connect the FloJet to the LUCCA. Is it 3/8 BPT or 3/8 NPT. List the part number is the video description. The video is good but gives no specific details.

    If the Flojet pump doesn’t run because it detects low water in 5 gal jug, will the espresso machine run dry one the water in the line is depleted? I have a pro 700 and I will be setting up a Flojet with pre mixed RPAVLIS water. Why do I not need accumulator tank? Will I have uneven pressure without one?

    I have a similar setup with my home machine; however, I noticed my flowjet pump pulses water through the machine and effects the espresso. I ended up adding an accumulator to smooth the flow. Is the pulse from the flowjet normal?

    Is it necessary to have 3/8" tubing connected to the flojet and espresso machine?

    The Lelit Bianca has a float indicator. You think I can connect it to the flojet float indicator?

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can plumb the Lelit Bianca to a Flojet pump with a 3 or 5-gallon water drum.

    • @markusvonklopmann2104
      @markusvonklopmann2104 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@clivecoffee Thanks for the response. I was talking about the float indiactor, the magnetic sensor, that indicates whether the tank is full or empty. My little "hack" idea was, that´ I connect the Jack-Plug from the lelit tank and attach it to the magnet sensor of the flojet wand... Then If the water drum is empty my Lelit says "empty tank" :D It's just an idea...

    • @markusvonklopmann2104
      @markusvonklopmann2104 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another reason is that I am somewhat anxious about the pump running empty, because even if the flojet system shuts down when the drum is empty, the lelit will try to suck in water.... With my hack it wouldn't be possible to draw coffee with an empty drum.

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markusvonklopmann2104 Interesting! Usually machines like that will have safety-features such as the machine "timing-out" after 60-90 seconds of the boiler not refilling, or won't allow you to pull any water from the group head and the machine will automatically start heating down. Sounds like you'd be good to stay on top of your water situation!

    Hey..
    Dose the La spaziale s1 dream plumb type requires specific inlet pressure ?
    My question is can I just put the espresso machine hose inside the water bottle without Flojet ?
    And thank you foe your explanation..

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Technically, you can. That said, the pump in the machine is built to operate with some line pressure, generally about 30psi. While the pump can operate without line pressure and work against gravity to pull the water up, it will cause extra strain on the pump. This additional wear will result in a shorter life span, though since rotary pumps are so resilient it'll still work just fine for years. That said, in our evaluation, it's worth the small investment in a Flojet to extend the life of your very expensive rotary pump. Treated well, a rotary pump can last decades.

    Is it necessary to have flojet with rotary pump machines?

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Technically, rotary machines can pull water from an external reservoir over short distances. While it is possible, it results in extra wear on the rotary pump and potentially inconsistent brew pressure. If you ask any one of our techs they'll tell you it's well worth it to make the investment in a flojet to protect the much greater investment already made in the machine. Treated well, a rotary pump can last a lifetime.

    Do you need a drain pipe for direct plumb espresso machines?

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You don't need one, but most direct plumb machines have a drip tray drain that can be hooked up. Our recommendation: if you can have a hole within 6 or so inches of where the drip tray's drain is, go for it. If not, the horizontal distance will lead to clogging, so you're better off leaving the drip tray un-plummed and emptying it manually.
