I'm surprised people in other countries consider the Go-find 44 and 66 as kids toys. Here in Australia they cost a lot more, like $350 and $450 each and are often used by adults too as serious detectors. I have seen them find gold nuggets weighing less than 0.5 gram up to 10 inches deep.
I had the first go find 20 and I used it for 3 years as my main detector and I found managed to find a George 3 on the beach (1771) as well probably about £100 of change ! So I think these machines are great.
Absolutely, I agree they feel a little plasticy and flimsy but mine has definitely stood the test of time I’ve had it nearly 4 years now of hard use and it’s absolutely fine. You do get wear where the plastic rubs where it folds and slides but nothing major. My recommendation is to set the arm rest position where you like it and leave it (reduces the risk of wearing out the rails) so you don’t get a lose arm rest. Machine is still fairly small without collapsing this part .
Thank you so much for this. Am in far South West, surrounded by beaches. Your video really informative and useful. This might be a good starter machine for me.
I have the Go Find 60 that I picked up as a backup detector when my 705 went to the shop for repairs. The go find 60 is a cool detector and is really great for kids to use. It is lightweight and you are correct that if your not careful you can pull the arm cuff shaft completely off. I tried the app with my iPhone and after a couple of tries I gave up using the app. All in all my go find 60 paid for itself after a few hunts. Now it sits in the treasure shack awaiting for a new owner. My 705 is my back up detector now while the equinox is my main detector. GL&HH
Just picked up the 22 as my second detector to use for guests and im gonna give it a whirl at the beach here in southern california thanks good review!
Great video. Surprised how well it did on wet sand and discrimination on the bottle caps. Just got a 66 off eBay do can't wait to try it out. Like you said, great light car boot detector. Thanks for the info!
Hi Arron , nice one mate , well it certainly does the business you found plenty of stuff withit , great review my friend and another good video very enjoyable ATB Rob .
A really nice review Arron. I think you nailed it, a now and again holiday machine for the not too serious detectorist, or a safer alternative to taking your posh stuff abroad. ATB MMMD
Hi Arron mate, Sorry for late comment, been offline for over a week !!! Just trying to catch up on vids.. I remember looking at these machines when they first came out, great as a starter detector.. I think most detectors love foil...LOL Take care mate GL&HH Tom
Excellent about time you got a Minelab in your hands👍 very good honest review. On the 1st release go find was a bit of a failure and a bit of a gimmick but Iv seen the light and I’d be happy to own one even if it’s just to keep in my caravan or in the back of the car. I might even make that my next challenge to find the cash to buy one. 👍 HH
Very nice review :) It's a nice detector but build quality could be better. As you say, probably not one for constant use although certainly there are people who do use it as their only detector. If your on a budget and need something that will do the job then it the Go Find will do it. Would probably go for the Quest X10 though. Better built and more features for the money.
Actually a pretty awesome machine especially for the kidos!! Might have to get my son one now. Nice review and a good little hunt with plenty of coins 👍 Atari 🤣🤙👍
My son brought me one of these Go-Find 44s yesterday from Ebay at £168 im just waiting for the delivery around 3rd or 4th December, i hope it be better than finding stuff than my Bounty Hunter Quick Draw Pro picks up, reason i wanted it was because the 44 is telescopic, main reason i wanted it, ,it light and easy to pack into a rack sack.. Cheers for doing this video it helps me to see what it can pickup on the settings. whats is it like on Fields, like i be using it on a Paddock field.
Ha Aron that looks good that would be good when out on paddle board fold up in backpack for those little coves I would take out my nox on sea that unit is great um maybe chat to LP in the week 😂😂👍🇬🇧🚒 have good weekend
Brilliant review mate,I was actually going to buy one of these, because it was small enough to fit into a backpack.nice hunt mate, love military item myself too.happy hunting 👍
Hey Arron mate. Are you reviewing a detector or Pete & Rob’s stature?! 🤣😂 Looks like a great travel machine with plenty of functionality!! You got a few bob as well and yes, it does sound like the old Tennis video game!! Great review pal, well done. 😀👍🏻 Take cate, GL&HH. Deano.
I had the mine lab safari and one of the go find I always preferred the go find I certainly didn’t find any more with the safari I just love the compact ability of the go find I ended up selling the safari and keeping the go find.
Thanks for your quick reply, with Amazon you get next day deliver so I went for a pinpointer detector which just did not work I then got the tacklife detector for £60 looks ok but a little too big I think to be just used now and again, after a quick look at the web the minilab came up and the compact size looked good so I think that will be my purchase any recommendations where to buy ? And thanks again for a speedy reply
Nice review mate, thinking of getting one as well as the deus for using on beach. This is a very nice bit of kit. Can you link bluetooth headphones to the bluetooth function do you know? Very good video, enjoyed this, I may invest for the beach. ATB,GL&HH Mark
No you can’t but you can use headphones on your phone once linked so then you’re using the machine technically wirelessly with headphones...use the link below and code for 10% off buddy 👍
@@SouthCoastDetecting thanks arron mate, decent priced machine as it is lol. Be great to fit in a backpack too. Looks ace on the beach performance wise. Will invest in the future for deffo, and my partner wants to come with me aswell. Cheers for that mate. ATB,GL&HH Mark
So, do you reckon this (or the 11 or 22) might be a good first detector for my 3.5 year old (he's officially umpa-lumpa size (but big for his age)...im keen to get him out there with me.. Great vid as usual!
If you’re going to help him out when it comes to pinpointing with your machine go for the 11. it will do all it needs to and has a nice little coil and is super lightweight. He’ll be able to swing it all day and not get tired👍 Don’t forget the link and code for 10% off 😉
I’ve just bought the 11 for my young un and she got a good half hour before the arms started to ache, the main plus side is it collapses down really small, have a quick look at our latest video and you’ll see what I mean , cheers
So your saying this machine will mark all finds on gps if you connect it to cell phone or something. Maybe i wasnt listening. How much is this detector ? Great video as always love your sense of humor. Keep the videos coming. Gl and hh
Thats i was thinking, I'll be doing most beach searching ,thank you, for answering I'll be getting the simplex from Amazon 254, not bad whit out the headphones ,thanks body I'll love your videos
Hi quick question after a metal detector for finding arrows when they get lost in the rough ground the 44 look nice and compact I bought a couple off amazon and quality not that good just found this in a search is it any good
Yes the 44 is spot on if you’re just using it to retrieve arrows. As a 6 hours a hunt, 3 times a week detector...No. it’s compact and lightweight and punches deep enough for what you need but it’s definitely a part-time detector.
How long did you hunt for that loot? You dug maybe 3-5 per cent of the value of the machine on one go! Just got the machine for my kids and they are now digging away. :)
In Australia they cost more because there is more gold to find.
Very underrated machine.

Did it hold up ok to wear and tear?

So the question is the Minelab Find or the New Nokta Midi Hoard for children especially for the beach wet sand?
For an age range of 10 below go for the midi hoard, over that age the go-find, remember tho that accidents happen and the go-find is not waterproof
@@SouthCoastDetecting Brilliant Thanks I appreciate that, I've seen your reviews for them both. I'll probably go for the midi hoard. Thanks again.

Sorry Aaron I have to go out,I will watch it back later👍
I'm not a metal detector guy but after watching this I might just have a go. £4.32 a good few finds like that and it pays for itself. Nice one mate.

Just bought one yet to test iwas LMFAO art your opinion of the sound is identical to the old skool gam PONG.
Found a shi horseshoe today with the 44 about 1 hour of digging in a field about 14 inches down
Have you done any reviews on the minelab go find 11 would like to see how that is
Not yet...
New retiree here. Hoping this may be my introduction to a new hobby. Many thanks for the opportunity.
Thanks for sharing Arron. I have liked the vid but you will have to take my word for it 😉
I believe that game was called pong I believe it was by Atari. LOL that seems like a nice little detector for the beach.

Yes you can connect it via Bluetooth to your phone and if you wish you can make a note where each item was found on the apps map.
£169 ish
I'm going to get one of those for my daughter, Thanks, good video!
Hi I'm thinking on buy one but I'm not sure which one to choose from the simplex or the go find which one do you recommend?
Depends on budget but the simplex will last longer, is waterproof and wireless

I wish I was that skilled.

Santeri Vidal I was only out for about an hour
I have one, unfortunately I’m not having much luck it pings constantly but I can’t actually find anything
Might want to get it looked at or lower the sensitivity
No wet sand footage?
Didn’t find bugger all, just swung it for a while
What is the difference between the 44 and 66?
Eirik Austad coil size, the 66 coil it slightly bigger
@@SouthCoastDetecting Ok thanks
They do last I had the 40 for ages
that is good to know.
Mine is beeping nonstop. Would there be any issue?
If your Go-Find is beeping nonstop it could be an issue, give the retailer a call where you bought it.
@@SouthCoastDetecting Yes. Thanks for answering.
Sounds like a binatone ping pong game
How many dollars does it cost?
Or you could just leave the foot all the way in as a handy pointer or for Richard Hammond.
Pong!!! Lol
detects raw gold?
May be 66 better than 44?
Yes bigger coil
use your pinpointer
Like tenho usado o Go Find 44
Will the Bluetooth connect to other things like Bluetooth headphones???
Sadly not
Muito bom
You are a English?
Yes I are
The speed up made me throw up lol
